Things I Learned From Doctor Who: The Underwater Menace

1. The Second Doctor is literally incapable of walking past a hat without trying it on.

2. At one point, Ben actually asks “Why hasn’t Atlantis been discovered before?” which is a remarkable piece of foreshadowing considering how many times Atlantis is discovered AND destroyed in this show.

3. Polly is perfect, and so is her hair.

4. The tragedy of so many missing episodes of the Troughton era is in all the spectacularly weird costume and scenery choices that never really came across via soundtrack.

This show, you guys. No other show is like this show.
