like i hate incest as much as the next reasonable guy but i fr can’t discern why ramattra and zenyatta get different treatment

bc like. there’s You’re Like A Brother To Me (“you mean a lot to me but no homo”), and then theres the way monks and nuns refer to each other as Brothers and Sisters but there’s plenty of homoeroticism that can exist there, and then theres the way media will have all angels be family but fandom still treats them as shippable (see: good omens), and then there’s Growing Up As Siblings aka Family family “don’t be fucking weird about it” zone

and these are all distinct dynamics that are perfectly fine?

like not to say you Can’t read them as Family brothers but just that it is also completely normal to use Brothers in a way that, in context, does not explicitly mean family, and that family isn’t the end-all be-all of interpretations that automatically overrules all the others by use of the word “brother” or “sister” (see: arcane j/v and vander/silco, tangled rapunzel/cassandra)
