I’ve been here for almost three months. Red vs Blue is stitched into the projects I made while watching it and deep into my heart.
this show I’ve both hated and adored for as long as I’ve watched.
somehow Tucker turned out to be a character I actually like. Caboose is more wise than anyone gives him credit for. I don’t give a crap what rt says grimmons is absolutely cannon they are so in love dude. wash and carolina are going to be okay. sarge went out fighting a blue.
I still really like season 15. It can live in tandem with restoration.
This may be the end of rooster teeth RvB, but I know tumblr has my back.
time to start my wash recovery one cosplay, my suit and tie Felix cosplay, and my rewatch of the series.
"No problem, Jaune." Ruby smiled. "So, uh..." Ruby leaned in. "Mind if I... come in for a while~?"
Jaune felt his body tense as she asked. Ruby wasn't exactly subtle with what she wanted, despite how socially awkward she appeared at times. With half-lidded eyes and a wandering finger that danced up and down her beau's arm, Jaune could feel Ruby's hunger. But the sad thing was that Jaune... didn't feel the same way.
"Uh, sorry, Ruby, but I..." Jaune stepped back, outside of her rounding finger.
Ruby sighed. "Alright then. Good night, Jaune."
"Good night, Ruby." Jaune went inside and, as he shut the door, let out a shaky sigh. Another date night ending on another low note.
"Great..." Ruby felt crummy about how her attempts to take her and Jaune's relationship to the next level just pushed it back to worse than when the date started. What was she doing wrong? Or was it something Jaune was doing wrong?
"And then he shut the door on me and that was how my night ended."
"No sex again?" Weiss asked, drinking her coffee.
"Nope." Ruby sighed.
"And you asked, right?"
"Yeah, I did, but he..." Ruby pursed her lips. "Do you think it's something I'm doing wrong?"
"I doubt it," Weiss answered, lifting Ruby's spirit a bit, "Or at least, I doubt consent is the issue. You could be doing something stupid before asking, or you're asking it wrong." Ruby slumped.
"Is there anything I can do to fix it?"
"As far as I can tell, Ruby, you're doing everything just fine. If Jaune is the one refusing sex, then maybe he doesn't see you as more than just a friend."
"Ugh..." Ruby groaned. "I thought he'd be ready by now. We've already been dating for over a year."
"Then maybe the relationship is getting stale." Weiss finished her coffee and looked Ruby in the eye. "If this keeps up, you two likely won't be anything more than friends."
"Dude, I'm just giving you ideas for what you can do." Sun twirled his keys around his finger. "I mean, you're the only dude I know who hasn't done it yet. Well, you and Oscar, I mean, since, y'know-"
"I get it." Jaune scowled.
"Not my fault, dude. Sure, everybody goes at their own pace, but you're the only guy I know who's taking his sweet time to cash in his V-card."
"I did, though."
"Wait, really?!" Sun suddenly got into the fellow blond's personal space. "Dude, you gotta tell me how it went~!"
"I... don't really think it's something to brag about." Jaune backed away. "It wasn't really that great anyways. Besides, I didn't come here to gossip about stuff like this. How's everyone been?"
"Fine," Sun rolled his eyes, "keep your secrets. As for my team..."
Another date night in, with Ruby and Jaune sitting on the couch and binge-watching that show Nora recommended. The plot was... there, and the characters were... written. Overall, they couldn't really get why Nora wanted them to watch this show, save for the occasional lackluster comedy bits. She insisted they watch through the whole season until the finale. It was only a dozen or so episodes long, so it was bound to get better, right? Right?
Anyway, Ruby kept scooching now and then to get closer to Jaune, but he kept scooching away. Eventually, Ruby had him cornered at the armrest and she leaned into him. For some time, neither of them moved, and it was nice. Ruby put her hand on his chest and he put an arm around her shoulder. Things were going good. Then, Ruby's hand slid down to his thigh and started rubbing it. He looked down and saw she was giving him the ol' eyebrow waggle.
"Uh, I'm gonna go make some popcorn!" Jaune jumped from his seat, rounding the couch to the kitchen.
"Jaune, wait!" Ruby looked behind the couch, catching Jaune mid-stride out of the living room. "Look, I... I'm sorry if I've been making you feel uncomfortable, but... Can we just talk about this?"
"...Sure." Jaune nodded, facing his girlfriend.
"I... want to have sex. With you, if that wasn't clear."
"It was." Jaune replied. "And I don't."
"Is... Is there a reason you don't want to have sex with me?" Ruby gulped, fearing the worst. "Like, is it something about me, or is it something I did, or-"
"It's not you, Ruby." He stepped forward. "I just... don't want to have sex. I don't think it's that important and I don't really feel okay with having sex just to have sex."
"Well, it wouldn't be just to have sex." Ruby argued. "Like, we'd have sex and we'd be closer than we were before, right? And we'd have a deeper connection than ever."
"But we wouldn't." Jaune said. "I already like you, and you like me. We don't need to have sex to have a 'deeper connection'."
Ruby was quiet at that. Was Jaune right? Everyone she knew had sex, and they all had great relationships! Well, except her dad, but she'd rather not think about him having sex. Still, even as Jaune left the room, she couldn't help but think about what he said.
"Uh, sure, but why don't you ask Yan-" Blake looked to see her partner had already left the room, covering her ears. The faunus girl gave a sigh, gesturing to the now empty seat. "What do you want to know?"
"Well, first of all, you've had sex, right?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, good, so you know that sex is important, right?"
"Uh..." Blake shook her head. "Not really. I mean, having sex can feel good, but I wouldn't say it's the most important thing about being in a relationship."
"But what about having a deeper connection?" Ruby leaned in. "Doesn't sex make you and the person you're with closer than other couples?"
"It's not about being closer than other couples, Ruby. It's about being closer together, and sex only does that physically." Blake thought for a moment. "When you go out with Jaune, what do you talk about?"
"Well, he talks about movies coming out, I tell him about what weapon upgrades I'm thinking about, sometimes we talk about whatever video games look good..."
"But no sex?"
"No, not really. Anytime I try to talk about it, Jaune just gets really uncomfortable."
"It's likely not something he'd be comfortable talking about." Blake suggested. "Do you remember the first time you had sex?"
"No." Ruby groaned. "I haven't done it yet."
"Well, you want it to be with Jaune, right?"
"Of course!"
"Why?"
"Because he's someone I think is special and I want him to be the only one."
"That's sweet, Ruby." Blake gave a giggle. "Naive, but sweet."
"Hey!"
"But you're not the only one who's thought their firsts would be their lasts." Blake noticeably got tenser. "And there's more people than you realize who wished they didn't give their first times to their firsts."
"Oh." Ruby suddenly felt awful about pushing Jaune. She'd been nice and didn't force the issue, but... What if she did? The idea made her sick to her stomach. "So... If Jaune isn't ready, then what should I do?"
"I don't know."
"Come on!" Ruby stood, her hands slapping the table as her arms became pillars.
Blake giggled. "Really, I don't know. I can't tell you what you should do, or what I would do if I were you. The only thing I can really say is to think about Jaune when you make your decision."
"O-Oh..." Jaune sighed. He should've seen this coming. "Yeah, sure."
"Oh, no, it's not that!" Ruby waved her hands defensively. "I mean, I hope it isn't that, but I really don't want it to-" She groaned. "Sorry."
"No problem." Jaune stepped aside, letting his girlfriend inside. "Do you want something to drink?"
"Maybe, but first I want to ask you something."
"Uh, sure, go ahead."
"Can I..." Ruby watched Jaune tense a bit. "...kiss you?"
"Uh... Sure." He leaned down and Ruby wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her lips to his. Her tongue prodded through, as if knocking on his door, and he let her in. It was kinda like how she asked to come into his house earlier. She giggled, and they pulled away. "Were you thinking about how your tongue is like knocking on my door?"
"How did you know?" She grinned.
"Because I know you, Ruby." He chuckled. "And... I know you really want to have sex."
"I did." Ruby nodded, noticing the shift in tone. "And I was thinking about it, and I've decided..." Jaune felt his chest tighten, expecting the worst but hoping for the best. "I still want to have sex with you." And his hopes were swiftly dashed, and his body kinda slumped as he stood. "But..."
"But..?"
"But I don't want to push you into something you don't want, so... Even if it takes forever and ever... I won't push you into having sex. Because I love you."
"I..." Jaune smiled, and he kinda felt like crying. "I love you, too."
Jaune leaned down and kissed Ruby again, and the two held each other close, his arms squeezing across her back as her arms wrapped over his neck. Ruby was going to lean in, but she felt it would be too soon to do that, so she held back and instead leaned away. Jaune followed, but the two didn't notice where they were and fell over the couch.
The two started laughing as they were laying on the ground, both in a sort of tangle of limbs. Ruby, on top of her boyfriend, smiled at him, feeling a warmth in her chest. And her core, as she realized just what kind of position they were in.
"Ah, I can go get a drink, right?"
"Yeah. Help yourself." Jaune didn't move as Ruby stepped off of him, and he smiled as she walked away to the kitchen. He let out a sigh of comfort, before bursting out with laughter as Ruby came to a realization.
"WAIT A MINUTE!" Shouted the girl in red. "WAS THAT OUR FIRST 'I LOVE YOU'?!"
Rusted Jaune faced down an army of Beowulves. He reached into his backpack, and pulled out Nora. He threw her, and she landed amidst the Beowulves, causing a giant pink explosion. He picked up Weiss, and held her like a princess, kissed her on the cheek, and then gently pushed her forward. Unllike the rest, Weiss demand payment for summoning, as she summoned a colossal white Rusted Jaune that cleaved a huge swathe threw the Beowulves. Jaune gets surrounded. Rose Petals flew out of his backpack cutting the surrounding Beowulves in twain with her giant scythe.

Anyone who’s been following me for a while knows that I love Pokémon fan games but I don’t think I’ve ever really explained why. With the main series game you get that nostalgic feeling sure and there’s always something new in a generation that some people will love and other’s will hate, but when it comes to fan games you can really see the genuine passion some people have for this series. People spend dozens of manhours making a free game and then set it out into the world for likeminded people to enjoy, adding in their own game-changing elements that Nintendo won’t give us –multiple save files, HM items, custom item shops, etc- and even including fakemon and alternate after-game story paths, again, all for free… until Nintendo starts tripping and takes down years of hard work that in no way effects their bottom dollar.
Anyway, here’s some a quick rundown of some of the best/most popular fangames in my opinion:
Pokémon Zeta/Omicron- The Ruby/Sapphire of Pokémon fangames, complete with two separate teams competing to take control of the region and a variety of available Pokémon from the first six generations available. A true love letter to the series, it combines some of the best parts of every game and even takes them above and beyond by having key items available in place of HMs, having EV&IV spreads available for more competitive players and a serious story for more mature players. The game is huge and the after-game never slows down so there’s always something to do, especially with multiple save files and challenge modes ready from the start.
Pokémon Insurgence- The follow up to Z/O (in that it’s from the same creator with a lot of returning mechanical elements but an entirely different main plot) and everything I could say good about those two goes double for this game. The big draw of this game is the more mature story (it gets dark, folks, there’s a choice in the beginning for a reason) that drops you into the deep end and employs the legendary Pokémon in a way that actually takes advantage of their mythic status in-game while exploring how messed up certain things would get in a world where morally corrupt people walk around with literal monsters at their command. There’s also the full utilization of delta Pokémon to discuss, mutations that give different typings to Pokémon and spices up the gameplay with interesting type combinations as well as unique designs throughout the whole game in addition to new megas offered to some much needed Pokémon. Be prepared for a challenge thought because like Zeta and Omicron, the game is not here to hold your hand.
Pokémon Snakewood- A Pokémon zombie apocalypse game taking place in a wasteland complete with mutated fakemon, murderous trainers and of course, more cultists. A stupid fun game and a great Halloween quickplay to start (kind of misleading though since the game has some length to it).
Pokémon Sage- An incomplete fangame that puts you in an entirely new region with entirely new Pokémon to show for it. Still in beta and as far as I know it has a bit of a way to go but what’s available to play is truly a love letter to the Pokémon franchise in that it’s not as hardcore as some of the others on this list but it more than makes up for it with inviting aesthetics, great music, beautiful designs, and a genuine Pokémon experience of wanting to know as much about the world as soon as possible.
Pokémon Gaia- A ROMHack of Pokémon FireRed years in the making. Recently just got its full story update (v3.1) and it takes you all the way through Elite Four with an emphasis on a classic Pokémon story on a quest for Regigigas and the coveted champion title.
Pokémon Sweet/ Sweet 2th Version- The polar opposite to Pokémon Snakewood, Pokémon sweet version takes the franchise and spins it into a candy coated confectionary adventure where you use various recipes to create pokesweets –fakemon based on pokes fused with desserts- who have “flavors” as opposed to types that you collect in a cookbook. It’s a fun for the whole family adventure that’s a massively creative endeavor and just super well done.
Pokémon Reborn- The monster the myth the legend, Pokémon Reborn is a hardcore ride from start to finish with interesting fakemon, variant designs and shinys for existing Pokémon and a challenge that is designed to test the most seasoned players the entire time. Interesting mechanics like field effects (before game freak introduced the terrains in SUMO), competent antagonists in Team Meteor, the PULSE Pokémon (corruptions and bastards to battle the first time always) and multiple rivals really immerse you in the darker environment the game has to offer while at the same time never making it unbearable to play, quite the opposite in fact, it makes you more determined to power through so you can get your reward.
Seasonal explorers Dust and Zee spelunk their way to the bottom of the sea, expecting to find all sorts of relics and treasures of aquatic nature. However, they instead stumble upon a world that has already ended…
Join them in their whimsical and hopefully non-explosive journey through the streets of a former paradise
by collecting treasures and uncovering the secrets behind its remains!

Pokémon that appear in this game are a bit different, some of which are Regional variants unique to the labyrinth! There are tons of balance changes and quality of life fixes that change how some Pokémon are used.
There are currently two endings to the game, and three unique zones to play through, with a run time of roughly 3-5 hours!
There are special items known as Treasures littered throughout the region. Collecting them places them as a little trophy at the main campsite!
At each zone, a very powerful foe will appear. Defeating them not only gives you the ability to move on, but choose exactly which area to unlock first…
There are more than battles to overcome however… There are places around the region that test your mind rather than your strength!
