One SKK Order (Medieval AU) for the counter
friend of mine went on about how they were recently watching youtube instead of homework (mood) and watching videos like how medical school through medieval times were like and how to train falcons
they also like skk, so im like screw it, we combine them all
may i offer (idk if this is actually historically accurate but we ball):
Falconeer chuuya and Medieval Medical Student dazai
now tbf i cant remember a whole lot of details given (i don't think a lot were mentioned either but we'll come back to it later maybe) but imagine
dazai, studying in his medical school tower, stumbling upon this stray falcon that perches on his windowsill (did they have windows or open stone arcs?) and just kinda looks at him, almost pressuring him to complete his anatomy diagrams or whatever, and dazai keeps staring at it head empty and then goes back to his work until all of a sudden a call comes out the window
its as horrible as a falcon screech and when dazai looks out to tell whoever it is to shut up he's met with a face full of feathers bc apparently the falcon doesn't wanna leave him and now that they're both kinda dangling out the window the voice turned from screeches to actual human speech (figures, its another person instead of some random falcon or half-falcon figure, dazai didn't know what he was expecting) and at a small whistle, the falcon leaves and now he can see a figure out a ways away from the castle wearing what seems to be lots of black and tan, but he can't quite make it out
he watches the falcon fly back, then watches as the person and bird seem to do more training, and dazai loses himself marvelling in the circles the falcon flies in, and after a while the whistles and calls don't seem as shrill, and he turns back to his work, only noticing the pair had left when he can't hear anymore sounds, and not being able to find the strangely clad figure anymore
que the event happening a few more times, and dazai eventually watches for so long at some point that he follows the person walking into the treeline off of the school's property
boldly, the next time the falcon alights on his window, he gives it a piece of meat (he didn't want to feed it yet, so it was more apt to say he chucked it at the poor bird and the falcon caught it) and after a while he gets the falcon's trust enough to give it a piece of paper before it has to leave and delivers it to the falconeer (the contents were indeed quite interesting, he thinks)
the next day, the falcon arrives with another piece of paper, saying 'don't you dare poach my bird you *curse curse curse* and don't give it paper to eat, you may thrive on a diet of fiber but birds actually need protein u *curse curse*
over time, the back and forth goes for days as dazai learns more about the person in the fields, while telling more about himself, and the falcon keeps delivering their messages consistently
it keeps going until finally, dazai sneaks out to meet the mysterious falconeer, and....
Spy x Family Joongdok
disclaimer: excuse the grammar, maybe minor spoilers for orv for those who haven't read super far into the story, like demon world arc?
think i finally cracked it, and i'll probably upload little add-ons later, but spy x family orv has had me in a clutch between two fandoms now and there's so many parallels and I gotta figure out how to do this so i propose:
kdj as yor, yjh as loid, and biyoo as anya ofc (havent watched buddy daddies but probably will because it sounds like a dynamic that fits them more) where kdj is probably more serial killer/hitman for hire working closer with the Underworld and yjh being a spy/mafioso style almost, where their alliances don't really line up as closely to a country affiliation but more to their own people, and value loyalty, experience, and familial ties over patriotism. again, might make another plot idea closer to the spy x family lore and background, but this came to mind first so fuck it we ball
however, i wanted to add some twists bc this idea came to me before i could get to figuring out the whole eden school plot point (brainrot decrees i need a good school environment for biyoo and that might take some brainstorming) and because i can't see another incentive for yjh and kdj to form a family around biyoo because of that:
yjh and kdj approach each other aware of the other's identity, but with the idea to seduce/trap the other into their own networking things (kdj trying to get yjh as more of a skilled killer so they could underworld gig together and yjh trying to recruit kdj into his mafioso system so they actually have an adequate and reliable assassin/ cleaner, probably more history on that assassin mafia position bc there could be a lot there)
now, i know the major plot point of sxf is that nobody knows who the other really is *except anya ofc* but like, bc we have two geniuses who are very suspicious of each other, i had to make a thing where they both approach each other with full knowledge of what both of them do, and trying to win one over with their own ambitions because, lets be honest, power couples who are murderous to anyone who threatens their sunshine is just *mwah* because the moment someone kidnaps biyoo on the premise of threatening either parent, they're dead. like since last week.
anyways, this would probably include interactions with trying to throw dirt on the other or insulting organizations, cue kdj trying to teach biyoo never to get into gangs or the sort bc the power and hierarchy system is shit, yjh telling biyoo that hitmen and assassins can't be freelance and need to take some orders from the top so they know who to kill otherwise they lose their prestige as assassins and allat, kdj not so subtly saying mafias are brutal and have no class, while yjh says assassins are so stuck up because they kill so many elites that they reach of arrogance only found in the upper class, list goes on and on. biyoo is just there hoping someday she can just be babysat between both the underworld and mafia because both are just equally fun
and now, if we add in some flirting, you all of a sudden have kdj describing what he'd do if he ever found a mafioso trying to get in the way of one of his hits, yjh trying not to imagine it and get turned on, while making kdj jealous by having a 'soon-to-be-hired' *imaginary* assassin in the mafia and recounting that they're lovers or something (kdj knows its a lie, yjh can't keep his eyes off of him and he knows there's no assassin in the mafia yet otherwise he'd be far gone from him and biyoo but it doesn't mean the jealousy inside him will listen to that) and not so subtly suggests how good he is in bed
which would probably lead to another bought of insults between the two concerning things biyoo should definitely *not* hear
they also try and get blackmail on the other and expose that they each know exactly what the other is doing, but never succeed so now its more like a daily thing they do in semi-stalking and keeping tabs on the other (and if it means saving yjh from a close call of almost being shot by a half-dead lackey during enemy base raid, or if kdj's targets end up being a little too drugged up before kdj kills them, well, they're flirting your honor) and again, biyoo just watches from the sidelines
now, if we're already changing that, we could definitely say biyoo can read minds right? but where's the fun in that
so instead of reading minds, what if she reads the people themselves?
full transparency of personality, background, intentions, and probably stemming more as the dokkaebi nature of being storytellers, she sees things in people that sometimes they themselves don't even know, and its up to her on how to interpret it
closest example would probably be bbc sherlock with how words seem to pop out, except it goes deeper than just general appearance and emotion, but again along the lines of reading the persons' story/ first words of association (she's kdj daughter after all)
because it seems like anya can consciously read people's minds and not all the time, i think biyoo could do the same, she just has to prepare herself for the onslaught of words that're going to come from 'reading' a person since she has to sort through the information that comes to her and try to make sense of it (like how anya can read minds but still has to sleuth out who's saying what and what context their saying it in - like reading minds doesn't make one omniscient, and she's still young so she doesn't understand a lot about thought processes or people, and can only make small, sometimes misunderstood inferences, translate that over to biyoo and she can understand the general 'vibe' (?) of a person but it still takes some work to break it all down, and sometimes understanding them at a deeper level)
Now, combine all this with general shenanigans (as one does in spy x family bc *comedy*) and now we can add in so much tension and 'cat and mouse' gameplay between these two that it'd actually be insane. i cant think of any examples (will probably reblog with any funny scenarios i think of) but like, imagine the possibilities
anyways if this has actually been fleshed out by someone before me id love to hear it, i cannot get enough of this brainrot personally and wanna see other people's thoughts on this
see yall in the next post when it comes, personally thinking about reblogging some older ideas with some theoretical dialogue or situations bc some of these are like old brainrots so we'll see
stay healthy and keep hydrated, have a good day yall
may i suggest: yjh trying to seduce kdj using food, but like all the food has some sort of very in depth meaning, kinda like floriography maybe?? idk if this has been written yet but like - some of these kinda get more sexual bc the man is down bad idk i thought it funny that yjh is always pictured making stuff for kdj but nobody thought that he'd definitely use it more to his advantage in seducing the guy (i think?)
cream puffs and eclairs are super obvious for - reasons *cough cough* - but like kdj isnt as impressed and just says they could use a bit more sugar (he does like the chocolate on top and eats more eclairs than cream puffs, but yjh doesn't notice bc he's still trying to understand kdj)
ramping it up, he gets cream pies next (ya he's not being subtle) and kdj just shrugs it off and casually gives slices to the kids, and having one for himself, saying it tastes good and wondering how yjh would make a lemon cake (he says that bc he owes hsy some dessert and would rather get it for free than pay, so now yjh thinks kdj likes lemon cake lolol)
yjh makes oysters, which he researched were supposed to have aphrodisiac properties, but kdj kinda just eats like, 3, and says it tastes kinda like all the other seafood he's had (and if he gets super flushed and horny later that's his problem not yjh)
then, going down the more romantic path, yjh makes chocolate coated fruits - strawberries, pomegranate, figs, etc etc (idk im pulling these from google lowkey, some of these don't actually have aphrodisiac properties but they are related to romance and the like so...) and kdj actually likes these bc they're easy to eat and actually super sweet and now yjh is happy and knows how to properly seduce kdj
idk how it relates to smut but somehow they'll maybe fuck idk maybe with some food, or maybe kdj will forever be single who knows
One Joongdok AU (criminally good flavored) to go
legit had this idea just a while ago, like fresh outta the oven and cooled and ready to serve with milk kinda while ago too lazy to format so here we go
yjh is a terrorist/criminal head of a syndicate/notorious delinquent idk, but he gets arrested
kdj is an overworked prison guard who does shifts and security surveillance (and the actual warden but nobody tells that because....reasons, and they're very good reasons) and is the one who processes yjh in
and yjh gets annoyed by this guard who tries to get him to cooperate in this prison by seeing what he wants as soon as they hit the interrogation room. he's let out without making a deal, and at least agreeing to be cordial and warn kdj if he's ever in any danger of being attacked by the inmates (yjh is very confused at that - are all the inmates here violent?) and is let into his cell for the night, given the schedule of when to expect food, and how the next few years of his life will go
its slowly revealed, as yjh interviews the other prisoners, that this is how kdj has been able to secure his position so low on the chain, remain there for years, and maintain some semblance of peace within the prison; by semi-baiting the prisoners to be on their best behavior with under the table dealings and reforming them. he's found that incentive is the best way to keep riots and fights down, pacifying people is easier than beating them into submission, and literally has every single inmate wrapped around his finger
and he chooses to slack away all day because of it, and everyone knows it. he's the unofficial warden because he's allergic to paperwork (yjh learns he got bed sick for almost a week when promoted to second-hand man, and since then the inmates have kinda taken care to make a hierarchy around this man so nobody, cooperative or not, disrupts the delicate balance they have)
he also learns kdj likes investing emotionally in these people, and while contemplating what kind of deal he should strike with kdj (because its kinda an unwritten rule that until you converse with kdj and make a 'deal with the demon king' you're better off as an outcast, and it signifies that you'll be doing less time, being one of those in and out cases) that, as long as he has kdj's better interests in mind, he could figure out how far he can go
asking one of the inmates, he learns that kdj, because he's on surveillance, uses it as a chip to put inmates in place, by either ignoring what he sees or fabricating evidence, so its best to not get on his bad side or if one wants to cash in a favor for the right price, a quick meeting should be able to go unnoticed
thus, yjh years of scheming what to do with kdj begins, and progresses to the point he even starts to begin pursuing romantic intentions with kdj
(later on, after releasing from parole, he'd get arrested with the right charge and he'd get put in prison again, just long enough to tease kdj more, until kdj made him realize that yjh could become a head prison master given enough years of reform and all that jazz. kdj then watches as yjh is let out one final time, and doesn't see him again for a while, and sorta forgets about him like the man he is, until he's introduced to the hardass new warden (think sp now that yjh has had to prove himself worthy of leaving the underground network, it wasn't easy to cut off his connections so he escaped with the most valuable thing being his life) and wanders around for like a week wondering why this guy looks so familiar and then approaches yjh and goes 'wait a minute i know you' and proceeds to say he looks like that one guy who stayed for maybe a month over robbing milk from the store, aka someone who is not yjh. then, yjh gets pissed and makes it his mission to make kdj remember who he is, and falls back into his flirty habits, then they live happy the end)
yea idk how it got to this long and filled out in like *checks time* thirty minutes?? from the three sentence summary of:
Criminal who falls for the local prison guards and who keeps getting arrested after being released just to keep seeing him
Is very specific in how he’s arrested so that its not too tight or loose for security so that he keeps seeing the guard
Guard does not get paid enough for this
but i found it very joongdok coded since theyre already both having a foot in crime, so why not
take it as you may, i really think this is hilarious personally, but i hope yall liked it too
stay healthy keep urself hydrated and have a wonderful day ~
One Aventio AU (Detective/Mafia AU) for the Counter
ho boi this was a big one, so let's see if it spans a few posts
this one is supposed to take place in a similar universe I was writing with stellaron hunters and astral express (and that'll be for another thread) but this one is solely aventio/ratiorine/golden ratio because it features both ratio's investigation abilities and the stonehearts! might be a bit outdated but it is more detailed so he we go~!
The Entree:
Undercover Mafia Ten Stonehearts sent by the IPC (Internal Pierpoint Cartel ig? i couldn't think of one but IPPC kinda doesn't work so Pierpoint it is) to start expanding territory into a unknown town. Unbeknownst to the stonehearts, the ten head honchos of the IPC mafia and always sent on every groundbreaking mission to spread the IPC's influence, the town they've decided to lay roots into underground is very close to the Intelligensia's most renowned detective - Dr. Veritas Ratio, code name TReason (the capital T and R are very important because he wanted it as Truth and Reason, but it was too long, so it's just easier to call him that. also because i thought itd be cool to have a double meaning to his code name so)
The Ingredients:
(now here's where we're going to probably going to go into the basics of the universe, like:)
Internal Pier Point Cartel -
Their goal is to take advantage of the chaos of the underworld and bring different mafia and gang factions together, striking deals that more often than not grows their own manpower and authority, but lurks in the background of all underground deals
Wants to ‘maintain’ the underworld in Pier Point society
Is a massive pain in the Intelligentsia Branch’s ass
Their highest ranking mafia members are called ‘Stonehearts’ and are shown in promotion and position by their assigned color scheme and gem
These are the enforcers to the deals the IPC strikes. Most notable is Jade, one of the first big members of the mafia, that makes the contracts between mafias and more often than not traps different mafias into the breaking of these contracts and forcing them into working under the IPC
Stonehearts that the Intelligentsia Branch has recognized are: Opal, Jade, Topaz, Sapphire, Aventurine, Pearl, Sugilite, Obsidian, Amber, and Agate (and all of them have their own folder and case files formed over the course of years from other towns the IPC has infiltrated)
Stonehearts are a term coined by both the mafia and police/investigators. nobody knows if the police or mafia thought of it first, but after their MO's came to light it became more apparent where they got the name from
They know the most about Opal, Jade, Topaz, Sugilite, and Obsidian, with Aventurine being the newest member but quickly becoming more often seen. Each stoneheart is known to leave a small piece of their respective stone as a signature to who was behind either mass mafia shootings/killings, raids, or an assassination. Each is strategically placed in a spot unique to the stoneheart, each one showing their own specialty and personality, but they never have any prints or evidence on them, and the gems are usually clean after trying to trace them back
Jade’s is usually left in a room that the Intelligentsia tries to raid or storm, left tauntingly on an empty surface to give the clear message that she is one step ahead of them all
Obsidian’s is usually left in the middle of a bloodbath of mafia members, a spot of black left within a pool of red and very hard to find since she likes to see who goes scrounging around through the blood to find it
Opal’s is only left after very big wins are made to the mafia, either a merger, territory expansion, or another indicator of the mafia’s impending growth. The authorities have started to dread seeing opals at different scenes, and sometimes is just dropped at a desk
Topaz’s is usually left in the emptied bank vaults of different mafia’s headquarters when they try and raid or sneak an informant in undercover, and usually the start of meaning either Obsidian, Jade, or Opal’s plans will be enacted - a precursor to violence and the calm before the storm
Sugilite’s stone has been left at very few scenes, usually an assassination hitman scenario with his stone placed at the crucial point of where the killer was, and usually found a few days or even months passed the initial investigation opens because it takes a while for the authorities to figure out how the assassination had taken place and by that point it should have been gathering dust but they are always in pristine condition, as if someone comes to check if its been taken yet and dusts it off often
One time they found the sugilite stone and left it - only 24 hours passed from where they found it and had surveillance on it but they realized it was missing and later found at the desk of the chief of police, and a week after that it was found to be swapped for another fake stone. The real initial stone is presumed to be taken from the evidence storage and has sufficiently scared the crap out of all the police department since everyone scares the rookies with it and it's grown like something of a ghost story among recruits
Aventurine’s stone is a recent addition, usually found left in casino’s or winning gambles, hotels, and also very randomly. It was initially thought that it was Jade starting to be more active, but Ratio put together that the previous locations didn’t match up, and once a jade appeared once he tested the two against each other and discovered this was a different stone altogether, further terrorizing the police that another stoneheart was discovered (previously there was only nine and now that there's another there's fear that another stoneheart may join the ranks or expand, but so far none have appeared)
Each stoneheart left their own stone at an introduction event, so the police department knows of each one that has been ranked up and that there are ten, but there isn’t enough information to gather how they work into the IPC inner workings.
One time they found an agate stone cast aside and crushed, so they don’t know if agate somehow died and this was a remembrance of sorts or someone was careless enough to step on it (taken from theories on if agate is dead or not from the trailer vids on hoyo's yt)
All the stones eventually disappear from evidence rooms after about 6 months from when the crime took place, but the ‘initiating’ stones are always left behind as a reminder to the police that the Stonehearts are still active (another good note that Ratio finds when Agate’s stone has yet to be stolen back apparently. Either that or they want to keep record of all the different stonehearts elevated in rank)
Ratio found out Aventurine was different from Jade with the presence of light and how it seemed to sparkle more, and compared it to the ‘initiation’ jade that the police have kept and found the difference from the coloring and stone lustre
I'll probably leave it as that for now, and post a reply on the general idea of how to flesh this out, and yes it does kinda include the codename stuff. take it as you may for this, but I thought if they gems are so prevalent in hsr, especially as each stoneheart casts it in their vote when deciding what to do with aventurine, why not incorporate it into their mafia dealings and personalities as well as a calling card of sorts? there's all sorts of philosophical and psychological reasons that ratio often thinks about when implying these crimes were done by people who take after gems, and i think that'd be something cool for him to ruminate about through the story.
anyways ill probably wait until tomorrow to reply and give a general premise bc i need to edit the summary i had before into a more cohesive format, so enjoy this in the meantime~
take care of yourselves (if you've been scrolling - and i know you have if you read allat up above) make sure to get some food and water, and make sure yall stay safe~
rest of the au, kinda left it more open ended so it's speculative but I personally wrote a happy ending so maybe if i feel up to it ill just write the whole thing out
but today is not that day so here we go heidei ho~!
Ratio is a detective well known in his field and just a promotion away from being one of the head department's geniuses that all cases default to (aka the Genius' society) but has more sherlock-esque tendencies, like a mind palace, an alabaster head (ofc) and very peculiar mannerisms that make him a menace to both the crime scene and his co workers. He's been knee deep in this case about the IPC mafia, has studied them for years and seen their case file grow from a single file folder to a whole metal cabinet - everything from espionage documents, filed reports of dealings, vague ideas of their assets, and absolutely nothing on their motive, other than being maliciously voracious underworld lords.
Herta, Stephen, and Screwllum all approach him about this case on the IPC, (well, Herta texts him and he ignored it, leaving her on read. he never replied back and instead the other two had fallen to the task of bothering him so clearly herta could care less), asking if he'd join the team unofficially, but it isn't until Ruan Mei entreats his help with a peculiar witness that he finally agrees to step in and offer his help, albeit at quite the wage (the genius' didn't even blink at the number, just signed off on his contract. how moronic does one have to be to be a 'genius', and was this a flaunting of wealth or idiocy?).
They bring a man called Kakavasha to him, saying that he was interested in more research on statistics and economics, and who was present in one of the earlier heists that are later discovered to be of Aventurine's work, even though they may not know of it. Ruan Mei was interested in his account, saying that it links to the IPC with their usual style of heist, entrance, and exit, but the man Kakavasha described isn't any current member they know of.
Taking intrigue in the man, Ratio extends one of his different accomodations/houses/flat to the stranger (to put him under surveillance, because who knows when aventurine may come for one of his few remaining witnesses to his crimes). he learns aventurine comes from a rural nation of Sigonia, a nation known for its long extending civil war that Kakavasha has fled from, and is currently searching for work to help provide for his sister (a lie for familial relations, take it as you may tho). Ratio, Screwllum, and Ruan Mei talk a bit about how the case for the IPC is coming along, with kakavasha overhearing about it and expressing his interest in the case as well, hoping that he'd be put on one of the bigger cases as part of an internship (or something idk how he fits in he just has a part and manipulates it to get on this case and be that specific fly on the wall to this investigation, whether jade told him to be inconspicuous or not)
Kakavasha asks ratio how they identified the stonehearts, and not so subtly bragged that he also picked up on the ipc case through newspapers and media and expressed his intrigue. then, Ratio and him start testing two different types of gems that ratio believes, while similar, are actually ver different, and ratio comes to the verdict that another stoneheart has risen in the ranks of the IPC. (Ruan Mei being their official lab technician and evidence worker ofc, and slightly more disturbing than ratio with the stuff she pulls off in her M.E. lab. like, literally every coworker would prefer a day long tailing of ratio to a single tea party with ruan mei, and thats saying something, aight? also, mad scientists ruan mei *would* use unusual but effective methods to find out who the killer was, and that should definitely be a terrifying image)
They all discuss the case, kakavasha proving himself useful as he listens and bounces ratio back with ideas of the cartel, and ratio digests the man before him, labelling him as not a threat to their case and instead a valuable asset to their investigation.
Lo and behold though, as aventurine stones start turning up in casinos, gambling hotspots, even on a table where (more often than not) an empty gun lay next to the body with a losing pair of dice, a terrible card hand, or the lowest pull on a nearby slot machine, but always with a single bullet to the chest (yes russian roulette reference, aventurine uses any and all means of gambling and only ever leaves one body, never a witness surprisingly: his modus operandi is as reliable as ever, but changes just as consistently, try wrapping ur head around that. kinda along the lines of he always leaves evidence, but the scene always changes, the death sometimes does too, but without fail there will be something to mark this as aventurine, exactly what the mark is tho is up in the air). Ratio determines the arrogant, calculating mannerisms aventurine wields and finds him often comparing him to Kakavasha strangely enough.
He starts comparing them in wit first, how Kakavasha's jabs and gambling tendencies are a bit to paralleled to what aventurine leaves on the scenes. as more crime scenes are made, ratio starts learning that aventurine is *flirting* with the team, dragging them around by the nose, and playing with them, almost in the same way kakavasha never fails to tease him over his fashion, cooking, and persnickity preference for baths. the differences, while uncanny, prove meaningless, since kakavasha has always been under ratio's surveillance, and ratio has always made sure to see he's present when a reported heist occurs (he gets the feeling something is off with how protective kakavasha is of his personal space, but then ratio is also possessive of his own things, so who is he to judge? aventurine always shows up on camera, though, and none of the hired watchmen around him ever report him leaving his hotel either through door or window, so it surely can't be him...can it?)
Over time, Ratio and Kakavasha get close enough where Ratio brings Kakavasha onto scenes for his input, under the guise of keeping all other idiots away from the scene of the crime ofc, and someone to listen to his theories, and eventually realizes the other man may know a bit too much about these cases from the way he deduces the crime scenes…
ill leave it there for now, and let ur imagination take you to the end~ i myself have made a little ending, but im also too much of a sucker for double identities so there should be enough vagueness in there that you can determine for urself if aventurine and kakavasha should or shouldn't be the same person, and if ratio ever finds out :)
anyways, title for this was inspired by Marina's "Welcome to the Family Jewels" song and if that doesn't sum it up to a t idk what will, but if there are other similar songs with vibes im all down for those too.
hope yall enjoyed, i saw some people really liked the general premise, so maybe if i think of new ideas to branch off on this one ill reblog this again lol
its far from being a full fic but maybe ill make a small oneshot one day.....some day.....
take care of urselves and make sure to drink water and eat plenty, and have a good day~!

I'll probably leave it as that for now, and post a reply on the general idea of how to flesh this out, and yes it does kinda include the codename stuff. take it as you may for this, but I thought if they gems are so prevalent in hsr, especially as each stoneheart casts it in their vote when deciding what to do with aventurine, why not incorporate it into their mafia dealings and personalities as well as a calling card of sorts? there's all sorts of philosophical and psychological reasons that ratio often thinks about when implying these crimes were done by people who take after gems, and i think that'd be something cool for him to ruminate about through the story.
anyways ill probably wait until tomorrow to reply and give a general premise bc i need to edit the summary i had before into a more cohesive format, so enjoy this in the meantime~
take care of yourselves (if you've been scrolling - and i know you have if you read allat up above) make sure to get some food and water, and make sure yall stay safe~

idk where i wanted to go with this one I just had it in my head for a while and with the locker notes prompt there's so many ways this could go. maybe i'll make a list someday of just responses or something
One JoongDok Order (Arabian Nights AU) To Go
When will I stop posting Joongdok? who knows! its definitely not today tho
wrote this one a while back as a single sentence so lets see where my brain takes me with it today. probably more vague bc im tired but plot bunnies will be plot bunnies
The Meal:
Yoo Joonghyuk is a prince known for rejecting any potential spouse (and his sister, princess yoo mia, is even worse when it comes with weeding out prospective wives and husbands), until a mysterious stranger appears, asking for his hand in marriage, if only Yoo Joonghyuk will hear him out for twenty-four hours
The Twists:
where to start with these, there's honestly so many you could do like
The Classic: Yjh agrees to hear the stranger out, and he regales him with the tales of a naive common man who has the ability to kill himself and restart his life from a different point. Known as a 'Sunfish', yjh is told of the different 1864 lives this man led in an attempt to do everything right - fix his marriage, slaughter those who would harm his family, even going so far as to, in the later half of his 'life', basically speedrun world domination. But he couldn't find out how the best way to live his life was, and constantly kept looking back. Enthralled by this man's tale, and wondering how long this stranger, going by the simple name of Salvation, would end this story. Thus, salvation tells this story for over a year (let's pretend he covers multiple different regressions in a night otherwise these two take at least 5 years to get this done okay) and eventually ends it without telling yjh the ending, because then he proposes as a way to live the man's 'perfect life' away from everything that could ever threaten him (and with the not-so-subtle promise that he'd do everything in his power to keep yjh safe, and it confuses the man so because what power does this stranger have to secure him, the prince, from everything from famine and sickness to an uprising and war?). then, yjh and kdj marry and live happily ever after (but kdj is a slippery little guy so ofc there's stuff in the background and it can't end there but thats another story for another time)
The Funny Annoyance: y'know that insufferable princess yoo mia? well, good luck even getting to yjh if you can't get past her. She decides to probe who this stranger is over the next 24 hours, everything from duels to intelligence tests to undercover servants monitoring his behavior and even resorting to more original methods (think fairy tale like the princess and the pea, a truth serum on an apple (bc she can't kill sadly, that was made a fact after courter no. 47) or even seeing how he reacts to a glass slipper. girl has a list that she made over the years and exhausts. them. all.) The funny part? this stranger passes with the ease of someone much to suspicious and expectant and nonchalant that it makes yoo mia even more concerned than with all the courters who would at least fail past test no. 83. She brings this up with yjh, who also becomes suspicious, and ofc kdj find out and then runs away. like one does. yoo mia and yjh, very confused as to who this man was who passed all these tests and raised their curiosity, in about 24 hours too, has just disappeared? Now needing answers, they hunt down this stranger, only to realize they know nothing about him. thus begins the royal hunt for a man seemingly nobody knows about, and at least 5 years of chaos.
The Royal Flush Cliche: yjh hears out the stranger for 24 hours - from evening to evening. they talk, laugh, and actually become acquaintances, and agree to be friends instead of courting partners once the stranger reveals that he didn't really want to do this but was pushed to talking with yjh from his parents. They part on cordial terms, and yjh starts to like this strange man's company until he receives an invitation to marry the prince of the underworld, or war will be declared. or like a ball invite maybe. depends on the angst. either way, yjh finds out that the stranger, kdj, is actually royalty, in contradiction to his first appearance as a commoner before yjh, and he's glad that he won't have to marry a man he doesn't know, but what do you mean kdj is actually adverse to this marriage and doesn't want to be hitched to him? fuck kdj he'll prove that he's a worthy spouse (yea no idk where i wanted to go with this one but I like the undercover royalty aus so here's a small added one but its classic enough you can just go and run with it lol)
Will probably be busy the next few days so i might switch it up to more established ideas that I might flesh out over the course of a few days and slowly update instead of resorting to like an hour of brain rot and plot brainstorming and wasting time (not wasting its really nice and wonderful to write stuff but in terms of real world productivity its not very efficient unfortunately)
Anyways hope yall enjoyed even if it doesn't look as well put together, and if i put in other ship pairings just know ill be back with my orv fixation soon enough and there'll be plenty of love to go around and i'm just gonna get some of my older ideas out of the way to make more room for newer brainrot (like trimming a hedge so that it grows healthier does that even make sense in this case???)
im tired, i hope you're not, and i wish yall a good day take care of urselves~
One JoongDok Order (Cupid Au) To Go
Just thought of this one last night and it isn't as fleshed out but:
The Meal:
Kim Dokja as cupid, but he uses dreams instead of arrows bc apparently you only find out someone is attractive through dreams
The General Idea:
Yjh happens to have dreams of lee seolhwa from dokja bc dokja thinks they make a good pair but he happens to catch a glimpse of kdj as one of the bystanders in the dream and starts wanting to know more about this person who he’s never seen in real life and only shows up in his dreams
He consults lee seolhwa about it (which kdj thinks is a convo between the two that yjh is finally confessing that he dreams about her and is happy that they are getting together) but lsh says that any people we see in dreams are faces we’ve seen before kinda thing
So yjh starts thinking back to when he mightve seen this person, and this is where it can diverge a little bit
The Sides:
Yjh asks the internet/his followers on stream about this person (both a good and terrible idea). this gets the internet in a ruckus about who this person yjh is dreaming about and because he can't seem to draw kdj face by memory from his dreams, other people start coming forward saying they see someone similar, and the internet wonders about this phenomenon until one day all the question hubs, blogs, and streams of people talking about this random person is wiped clean, and no mention comes up ever again. yjh, wondering what happened, types another question onto the internet but is stopped as the words continue to, seemingly, disappear into thin air. he's persistent, though, and asks about it vocally on stream until he figures out that the chat can't hear what he's saying. trying a third time, he calls up lee seolhwa to ask and it isn't until she says she doesn't remember talking about such things with him that a weird person (hsy who else) appears behind him and tells him how the cupid came to be and how the identity of said person should never be discussed or found. With yjh use of the internet and other people, she had to scramble to do damage control and like hell she's gonna let yjh make her do all that again. So she spills that kdj was indeed a person, but after living a loveless life and eventually committing suicide at a young age, he was chosen as cupid - to bring people in love that he lacked in his life, never to understand the joy of having a partner. she likens it to a curse, saying it can't be broken, but now yjh is on a mission to make sure this cupid boi is loved. however, what happens when the matchmaker falls in love? they lose the position. so, unknowingly, yjh makes kdj fall for him and officially makes sure he isn't cupid anymore, brings him back to earth and all that (since dream realm in cupid access is kinda different ig?) and all of a sudden has to deal with the fact that a new cupid needs to be found and installed. oh no what happens next lol idk this is long enough for a side as is
Similar to previous, maybe not as convoluted, Yjh starts looking through albums of his childhood and notices how every time someone close to what this person looks like, they're in the edges of the photo and always blurry and younger than what yjh remembers seeing in his dream. It turns out kdj was a normal child before becoming cupid, and eventually yjh manages to contact kdj and find that he has no memory of being human, and that often times the camera can capture his essence as love within the world, like a rose-tinted lens. Joonghyuk, being inspired, asks if kdj would appear in all the pictures he takes to see if its true, and all of a sudden it devolves into photos of yjh and a random guy being placed all over his apartment, all flawlessly captured and beautiful and a work of art that professional photographers get jealous of. Agreeing with kdj that he wants to share this with the world, kdj 'haunts' yjh cameras to make all his photos end up very romanticized, and starts making a photoshoot business with weddings, prom nights, and all other special events. he gets known as the photographer nothing can hide from in a picture. this can go to either he gets so renowned that he picks up all sorts of hobbies, or goes professional and all, but it gets to the point that kdj starts 'cupiding' people in the photos and he starts being renowned as a matchmaker photographer too. After a while, though, because of some magic stuff and all that, kdj manifests himself in reality through all the love yjh 'captured' with his camera, and sacrifices his camera to make a body for kdj since it acted as a medium for his powers, and allowed kdj to not have to be a cupid anymore, and they live happily ever after the end. cheesy but eh
Since we had two happy ones, why not have one with more angst: Yjh refuses to sleep and tries to force himself awake if he dreams of lsh to get this cupid guy off his back. kdj takes it personally and they start fighting in the dreams. it devolves into chaos and ofc neither wants to articulate their feelings to the other ever, so they have a back and forth until kdj and yjh slowly become friends, and they use the dreams as a medium for talking all the time and developing a friendship. It goes so far that yjh, who used to have a wonderful sleep schedule, and then none at all, now sleeps all the time citing that he isn't all that busy and should just sleep. yjh slowly declines in health and consciousness so much that he actually starts slipping into a coma. its not until its too late that yjh realizes he's trapped into this dream realm with kdj forever, now that his body is too tired and used to sleeping remaining mentally in the dream realm with kdj, and its exactly how kdj planned it because he couldn't let this opportunity pass. yjh is happy that he gets to spend time with kdj now, forever, but can't help but worry about what happens to him in reality now that he's in a coma.... more open ended but definitely more angsty if thats what you like. definitely possessive kdj and reluctantly in love yjh, but take it as you want.
was torn between this and the spy x family au so i'll put this one on for now and return to the spy x family one bc that was sounds pretty straightforward (and will probably mean i get to write so much more because my brain won't be able to stop). this one was supposed to be smol, but hey, i started writing and couldn't stop so here we are. also with some angst, i know the ideas ive written so far have been pretty happy but i needed a little sadness otherwise it looks a little too happy of a situation
also, this might be for a different au, but cupid as a grown ass man who goes around unironically shooting people with arrows? i wanna write a crack and you bet your ass kdj or yjh are gonna be cupid. read a renheng fic around the same idea (couldnt find it again to finish it) but it was enough that i wanted to write something similar bc it was so funny
hope you enjoyed, is it obvious im putting more effort in writing than actual punctuation and capitalization? kinda gets tiring hitting the shift key and who needs proper formatting when you're gonna read this at max speed anyways? all i need are words and autocorrect so it comes across right (hopefully)
anyways have an awesome day and take care of yourselves~
Tiny
covid era kdj where he has little yjh figurines so when he dont wanna show up for work he just puts those on the zoom call instead
bonus yjh also uses them to attend meetings in his stead so (when he's dating kdj) he mostly mutes himself and kisses him in the corner and it looks like he's in attendance

ill also come back to this because remembering 49/51 kdj alongside this just tears something inside me
Your harassing neighbor dies. Then a bullying coworker dies in a crash. Within a month, people you’ve had bad blood with start dying. The police are watching you closely—but you haven’t done anything… at least, not that you know of.
......joongdok.....?
there's so much i could do with this, just gimme a day or two actually
One ORV Order (Leverage Flavor) For The Counter
I may have lied a little about one a day, because now the writing voices are speaking properly, though they don't wanna flesh out a whole lot of other ideas right now. That said, I'll probably post some smaller ones until busy times roll away, but until then I offer a brainrot idea that's been pretty consistent in sticking around. No meal and sides offered this time, it's just a buffet of options to pick and choose from if you get the general gist of the thing.
I took this one from the TV series 'Leverage', a story about a five person team who commits morally right crimes to pull down people in power who abuse their authority (you can probably see where this is going). Because I have little to no experience in how a smort heist should be pulled off (i swear I'll write it when I figure out how to properly set up some suspense and mild gaslighting) so I'll stick it here and come back every now and then to expand on it.
Now, for the lengthy explanations:
If you haven't watched Leverage, (highly recommended to see btw), the main premise is a team of crime fighters made up of criminals who take down other criminals. It's literally part of their slogan in the opening. There's a mastermind who puts the jobs together, a hitter for any heavy lifting and subtle or not-so-subtle violence solving, a thief to pick up anything and everything no matter the area, a hacker for software and security infiltration, and a grifter for any social interactions, recon, or people manipulation. That's long story short, and you can probably see where this is going.
Lee Hyungsung / Jung Heewon: The hitter duo since they need to protect KDJ from getting hit or sacrificing himself as bait, and I can't decide which one I like better but they always work better together anyways. They bring in muscle and loyalty and a little snark when it matters but can always be counted on to get that last grunt knocked out or a door busted open
Yoo Sangah : Grifter, we'll switching up the romance dynamics a little bit and she’d do great in the role. In the series, the major relationship dynamics happen between the grifter/mastermind and thief/hacker duo (super cute still btw) but because we can mix things around, why not let the grifter and thief share a little skin while the hacker and mastermind grind teeth, y'know? I'll defend my answer a little more, tho, and say who's a better social manipulator than Yoo Sangah, who stuck pepper into the office coffee machine and still walked around like nobody's business, like she hadn't just sabotaged the whole office breakroom, and still says hi to everyone like normal? Girlie is a badass and had so much character development in the novel, from hardworking office worker to apocalypse scenario destroyer, that I feel she could take to the grifter role pretty well, and has probably been running people around in circles in the palm of her hand for so long being HR associated already. Besides kdj, she could probably talk circles around you like it was a regular tuesday morning the day after a failed heist and you would be none the wiser. Maybe I also just want her grifting, but if you wanna switch it up go for it, I won't complain.
Han Sooyoung: Orphaned at birth (or not, see down below), she plays the role of a thief with her awesome pick pocket skills and usual phantom-thief style-esque crimes. Yes, she may or may not have been orphaned in canon - i myself was torn between orphaning her or making her steal from the higher echelons of society with a well established family - but this is more for Leverage canon than anything, and will probably be the one thing most prone to change. The thief in Leverage dealt a lot with straightforward decisions and had trouble understanding people because she wasn't as emotionally driven, partly because of her being abandoned and traumatized as a child and then raised in larceny, but hsy character isn't quite the same so I'd probably give it a 50/50 shot and see how it goes. Hsy from a rich family would be much more her style, attending parties just to see which jewels or antiques she could pilfer, and with inattentive parents and a whole room for herself, she could steal and store just about everything. It makes more sense on how she meets kdj if she's orphaned, but having her come from a rich family also gives more implications and red tape (but a whole lot more potential) that comes with working with her in jobs.
Hacker - Now, this role was a heavily debated topic for me, myself, and I, with the majority decision of yjh, but hear me out. In Leverage, the hacker is more of a homeboi and stays at base/hq unless he's dragged onto the field so, in this AU, it also gives us the opportunity to change how he's introduced. Case in point, if he just stays from home and hacks (and he's super good at it too), what's stopping him from working remotely and never meeting kdj's little group? That opens up a lot of fun and crazy options, like:
What if it was yma under a different name or something, and yjh is the unfortunate older brother helping his little sister pull (what she thinks is cool game moves and co op style boss raids) what are actually world-shaking crimes? Not as plausible but equally hilarious you gotta admit
What if it was Jang Hayoung tho? Like, Jang Hayoung relays everything they do in crime fighting to YJH as fellow gamers and yjh is brought into this strange group of people he knows nothing about and they all talk funny and seem sus but no, officer, they're definitely not the suspects you were trying to find who took down corporation a just the other day (if he gets found out from the authorities due to no private connection and investigators ask him about this weird chat he's in, he swears he was added to a spam chat and didn't leave through his sister's request. Afterwards he makes sure to encrypt the messages because something is going on with these guys and he's gonna find out what it is)
Han Dooyoung is also a viable option, albeit the more soft-spoken choice, but doesn't give a whole lot of room for bringing in yjh into the team position even though he is a canon hacker
Now, for my personal favorite: hacker YJH but he’s just a pro gamer with extra skills kinda thing and the crime is a side job. Like no joke, he's got his whole place on high security already with his fangirls, and he keeps a pretty stable job, and nobody would suspect THE supreme king as being a major hacker for this crazy group, right? Anyways, they helped him take down someone *cough cough, anna croft* who was annoying him and Mia, so they can't be that bad, and he just wants to make sure they're alright and everything. If he wants to meet up with them he can, but why would he? He definitely doesn't think that mastermind sounds too smart for his own good and definitely doesn't wanna see his stupid face
Kim Dokja : This one is very obvious if you've watched the series, and I can sum it up in three points: Mastermind is smart, self sacrificial, and the very heart of every operation in Leverage, and in Orv canon it fits pretty well. I'd also give the exact reason why kdj was the first one I thought of while watching leverage and got this idea, but that would most probably be spoilers. Let's just say its from the final episode of season 2 and call it good. And actually all the times before that too. The parallels are also pretty big, with both of their backstories eventually being brought to light in small bits and overlapping quite nicely, so I'll leave the similarities there and let ORV explain the rest for those who haven't watched it.
The one thing Leverage's Mastermind and kdj certainly share out in the open, though, is that they both worked under the corporate ladder and saw the corruption of the system for themselves, though Leverage protagonist was much more affected by it. And that sets everything up just about perfectly. Mastermind assembles a sort of team to purge said corruption from other corporations and help those who are suffering from people abusing their authority, and eventually becomes the heart of the family that forms this team of misfit criminals. By about season 4 of Leverage, they really do act like found family, even living together often enough, that kdj as the mastermind of this little group makes it fit nice and snug.
(also, i don't mean to pick but there is a leverage: redemption which is kinda like a leverage 2 but without the mastermind. The team shifts around, and actually changes a few people around, but it doesn't give the same energy and you can see it. Really reminds me of the *multiple* times kdj up and dipped from the group and you had a shift in power and authority and dynamic, just like what is seen in redemption. you can see the plans aren't quite executed and made like how they were in leverage with the mastermind, and they're more prone to falling apart in larger magnitude than what was at stake when compared to the times something messed up with the master mind around. In other words, when the mastermind was taken out and replacements were made, it was like removing a leg and replacing it with a prosthetic. you can do the same things, but it all feels off and you're prone to falling more. That is the core of the mastermind role and almost fits kdj to a T)
This, of course, cannot be without extra cameo appearances of Lee Seolhwa, Shin Yoosung, Lee Gilyoung, Jang Hayoung, Lee Jihye, Kim Namwoon, all the constellations, Bihyung and Biyoo as well, and can all have different roles. Information brokers that are part of KDJ’s info network thing, adopted kids that the group has to rescue, a chunni kid who has to deal with the strain his father is under being forced into overtime or excessively violent situations, anything under the sun and they can join into the plot and not have to fade away like a typical story extra, adding to this already growing family.
Jang Hayoung is a little bit of a jack-of-all-trades in this scenario specifically on what kind of role you want her to play. She's kind of a hacker-esque position with the unidentifiable wall, but could also be an online broker to the missions post-heist steals if they need money. Also a funny thought, she could act as a proxy or replacement to yjh since yjh is always holed up and won’t do reconnaissance like everyone else and they get short on hands real quick and /somebody/ has to scope out how to steal that *thing* so who else to call but the unidentifiable wall, hm?
(and if you've watched leverage, imagine that one scene where the grifter witholds her real name to prevent the mastermind from being suicidal again. Like, the whole group is in on stopping the mastermind from being suicidal and have this quick gimmick where, since nobody knows the grifter's real name, they say that they know it and can't tell mastermind until he earns it, and it stops him from being self destructive and actually works. Now, what does that remind you of from orv, hm? Coincidence? I think not.)
Anyways WOW that was a chonky boi (and I again spent too much time elaborating on this weirdly enough) and I should really stop making these as long as I have but ehhhh it's alright
I'll probably start alternating between hsr and orv for a little while, if thats okay, but I also dabble in genshin so idk....
Hope yall enjoyed and liked the idea! Have a great day~
Bless your mind fellow brainrotter, I'm so glad the idea is making sparks already. Also yes, I had that exact hardison scene play while thinking of this, and i could probably bring up more but there's too many and I'd have to go through each one in way too much detail that i'd probably spend days just breaking down a single season
I'm glad you're sharing the vision, and this too has started making the brainworms go wild and remember why i love it
i wish you a plethora of all things leverage orv au and a wild imagination reblogger, i love ya
(i guess it didn't like but one reposter shared the brainrot and I absolutely jived with it <3 sending love to reposter)
One JoongDok Order (Crack Flavor) To Go
Only had one thought today, and it was that Joonghyuk's second half of his name sounds so much like the 'hawk-tuah' phrase that, imagine-
Kim Dokja, to spite Yoo Joonghyuk, saves his contact as
Yoo Joong Hyuk-Tuah
and it causes all sorts of misunderstandings
Yoo Sangah thinks he finally hooked up but is kinda concerned about the contact naming and what happened between kdj and possibly a very bad one night stand
Han Sooyoung thinks he's an idiot for actually naming someone that and thinks its a really bad spammer that kdj changed the contact to because the guy was so annoying and refuses to accept that the contact is a real person
Lee Hyungsung is torn between asking what it means and asking kdj who the person is when the phone rings at six o' nine every day
Jung Heewon is torn between laughing out loud or laughing out louder because kdj is just a dumbass and the fact that he knows what hawk-tuah means is hilarious by itself
Shin Yoosung and Lee Gilyoung are at a loss for words and absoultely confused (bless their little hearts, they only know to throw shade to some Yoo guy across the street who keeps bothering their hyung)
Only Lee Jihye and Kim Namwoon have an absolute mental breakdown figuring out that their senior may or may not know modern slang, and die a little inside every time kdj uses 'kid phrases nowadays' for them after they acted all shocked that he knew what 'hawk-tuah' was
*tbf im writing this with like half of the knowledge of the origin of hawk-tuah and only had it explained from a friend in small amounts, so idk how much weight this carries and if it is proportional to actual implications. I just like the chaos possible*
The best part? yjh knows absolutely nothing about this (or he knows everything and isn't paid enough for this and fumes internally and speeds up his rate to getting an ulcer from kimcom) and is just subjected to poorly executed sex jokes and the company betting pool's shenanigans
Relish the idea pls, imagine the possibilities, and think if it actually happened. this was begging to be let out so now I share with yall too
hope you enjoyed and have a good day~ make sure you eat enough and take care of yourselves too~!
