(Closed) A Stranger In Town
After all the chaos that had been attracted to Storybrooke… Regina had every right to be hesitant of strangers. People don’t just stumble into town like lost puppies. So finding a new face… one that she was dead certain didn’t belong in their town… well… let’s just say the Madame Mayor was not pleased in the slightest.
Putting up a nice warm front, she intercepted the other woman and gave her a welcoming if not curt smile. “And what brings you to our cozy little town?”
The drive through Maine was a relatively boring one. She entered a town called Storybrooke, stopping when she saw smoke pouring from under her hood. She pulled over in front of what looked like a large mansion, but was actually the mayor’s office. The Asian woman popped her hood, looking under the hood to see the problem.
Hearing the voice, Melinda glanced up at the woman. “Car trouble. I was just passing through.” Her voice was quiet, as it usually was.
Well wasn’t this like Groundhog day all over again... she gave the smoking car a disgruntled scowl. At least she hadn’t crashed into the town sign... Regina let out an exasperated sigh, “I’ll give the autoshop a call. They should have you up and running by the end of the day.” She had her cellphone out and dialing, the conversation was curt and to the point. Hanging up and sliding it back into her purse, the Mayor contemplated how to handle this....
“They’re going to pick up the car and fix it. If you need time to kill, I recommend Granny’s diner. That’s where they will deliver your vehicle once they’re done.” After a pause she added. “If you need help finding your way around... I’d be happy to assist.”
