Even when we didnt get byler in vol 1 i was feeling off about it. Cuz why would we not get it for the entire season yk? Then volume 2 happened and i was like yeah they really bout to give us a 14 second byler scene with a peck kiss or sumn. Cuz like @still--kicking says, queer rep deserves more than a last minute get together. I was already disappointed by the lack in vol 1 then i saw the lack in vol 2 and was like if they even give us byler its probably gonna be something simple or just strongly implied or sumn. (Spoiler alert we got neither.)
