This was the artwork we made with plastic bags. The concept was to do with how clothes these days are mainly made out of synthetic materials (so we are practically wearing plastic) and how we end up throwing out our clothes like they are a piece of rubbish.
Here is my research on conceptual thinking.
I dripped, red, green, blue and yellow dye into two containers of water and then froze them. My idea was to then let the ice melt and see what natural marks it created on the paper. In my head I thought pretty rainbow colours would be made but instead all the colours mixed together and made an ugly green.
I was experimenting with watercolour, ink and oil on canvas. I then decided to create a GIF of the different variations of canvas placement.
This was my attempt at experimenting with the coding of images. The three photographs I chose were of World Leaders; Barack Obama, Julia Gillard and The Queen. I thought it was an interesting concept to explore distorting these powerful figures.
Playing with painting.
Experimenting with different mediums and layering. I used watercolour pencils, ink and oil paint.
The result of taking a chance with experimentation.
