one of the harshest things about social media culture is that friendships that solely work through instagram just don’t last unless you contact them first.

i have deactivated instagram so many times, i have gone offline so much, even now that i have exams coming up i have to stay off ig, and every time i think i would miss out or i get fomo, i’m proven wrong at the end of the day. i aint missing out on ANYTHING.

while this can be interpreted as “good” cause you really are nottt missing out, and you can live your life peacefully without social media and distractions and shit, but on the other hand, ts just makes me so sad. because it is immediately VERY clear who your real friends are and who aren’t. :(
