But who’s fault is it really that I don’t understand? You know, I speak three languages fairly fluently and can get by in a number of others but something that never seems to want to be mastered is a certain Sicilian sailor dialect. It’s never for lack of trying, it’s just not given enough light and proper research to have its own book to learn from. You know what happens to those languages Sinbad? No one learns them and no one ends up caring that you know it existed. It’s a nice fun fact but nothing really more.
I’m trying Sinbad, I really am, but with this going on for months perhaps it really is time to give up the last torch held for you. Practically a decade of keeping it lit with hope only to have it smothered so close to its destination. I thought you’d grown up by what I saw back in Sicily over the summer, but maybe you really just are another disappointment.
Maybe I am.
Look out Elymian, here comes Sinbadian.
