Say what you will about Sorkin but the thing they do in “the newsroom” where they play out several hours of a day including multiple personal plot lines that take up 85% of the episode and then someone reacts to a piece of news and as they’re explaining the situation a date shows up on the screen of a true event and you put everything into context that lives are lived before and during and after disasters - is really fucking cool
