I've literally been having one of the worst weeks I've had in a while so thank you, pretty sure this is the first time I've smiled today

When whumpee is really casual about stuff that shocks their team/caretaker

“Ugh-- Why the hell is everything so loud all the sudden? I was only in that room for, like, a week!” “Room?” “Oh, the sensory deprivation chamber. I didn’t tell you guys about that?”

"Whumpee, oh my gosh, are you okay? Your legs should not bend like that!" "Don't worry this is only like, the third worst thing that's happened to me this week."

"Oop- careful, that's the arm I was stabbed in. Hold my other hand."

"So how long were you kept there?" "Well, I was there for about a week, but don't worry they were only torturing me for like half of it." "They tortured you?"

"Um- Can you hold this, I've only got one working hand." "What happened to your other one?" "I broke it to get out of the handcuffs, remember?"

"Woo boy I do not miss those cameras." "Cameras?" "Yeah, I don't have to monitor my face all the time anymore! No one's gonna attack me for looking like shit!"

"I do not have time for another near death experience!" "Yeah-- wait, another?"

"Damn you weren't lying, that actually wasn't poisoned. Why?" "Because-- because most people don't poison everything? Are you okay?"

"We've got an extra bed you can use." "Oh, you don't have to do that for me! I usually sleep on the floor anyways." "You are not sleeping on the floor!"

"So you got stabbed today?" "Yeah. Not a very eventful day."

"So sorry to bother you sir/ma'am, but do you have any bandages I could borrow? I've been stabbed."

About the whumper tilting the whumpees head up to look at them.

May it be with a knife, a book, a single finger, or their whole hand, wrapped around the whumpees jaw.

Maybe even doing it by pulling their hair back. Perhaps with a boot as the whumpee lay on the ground.

To exemplify their control. To observe their handywork. To take in the emotions of their captive. To punctuate a statement. Or purely for intimidation.

The defiant glare from the whumpee. Perhaps fear. A groan of pain. The lack of reaction because they are too exhausted or unconscious entirely.

It never fails.

Its just. so. good.

When the whumpee isn’t used to people caring about them or comforting them, so when the caretaker finds them crying and immediately hugs them, they have no idea how to react. The caretaker holding them gently and rubbing their back until the whumpee relaxes and starts to cry harder, then staying there and whispering comforting things to them until they calm down. The whumpee ending up falling asleep in the caretaker’s arms, too worn out from crying to stay awake, and the caretaker carrying them to bed. The whumpee waking up a few hours later to find the caretaker waiting at their bedside with a glass of water for them, and asking the caretaker why they’re being so nice. This question breaking the caretaker’s heart, and them telling the whumpee that they deserve to be cared for, then hugging them again.

God I love it when the character's lock eyes right before one is hurt.

standing on the battle field and looking over at their partner. maybe they smile at them before being hit. maybe they give them a blank stare before crumpling, almost like they knew it was going to happen.

or

the whumper comes for A and drags them from the room. A telling B over and over again that it's going to be alright before giving them one last look before the door closes

or

maybe they were having an argument and one confesses an attraction, romantic or platonic, and then BOOM

arrow to the side.

bullet to the shoulder.

Prompt #26

It was a beautiful day for painting. the sun shown through the windows with warmth and outside the world seemed silent but for the occasional bird. Inside the room with filled with pictures and sketches that covered the walls and floor. pieces that the creator viewed as masterpieces.

"hold still" the whumper sighed with a shake of his head "or we'll never be finished"

The whumpee sat in the middle of the room and glared defiantly. Ropes bound his legs to the stool he was sitting on, his arms tied behind him and also to the stool. keeping him sitting almost perfectly still.

Day 1

You know what i dont see a lot of in whump? The use of social media.

I mean think about it: whumpee escapes whumper, they take a long time to heal from all the damage they've suffered, and eventually life is as close to back to normal as it can be. Maybe whumpee starts an instagram or something, and they dont post very much, especially not about themselves, but they have an account that is very obviously them.

And THEN, whumper finds it.

Think about whumpee, who bravely (stupidly) posts a picture of themselves, maybe with caretaker, maybe with some bougie food, maybe with a pet. Picture them opening their phone, checking their notifications mindlessly. Their friends like the post and comment on it, but theres one comment from someone they dont recognize.

"Beautiful, as always," it might say. Or "looking much better ;)" maybe. Something patronizing, something that wouldn't draw any red flags to people who didn't know any better, just to let whumpee know they found them. And when whumpee goes to the profile to see who it is, their blood runs cold. It ends in a broken phone that they drop in shock, and maybe later they hastily delete their account and try to disappear again, but it's too late. Whumper knows where they are, whumper is teasing them, it doesnt matter what the comment actually says because the underlying message is clear to whumpee: "youre not getting away from me that easily."

My First Whump Blog Intro TM (Finally!!)

Hiya! If you want to call me something, you can call me Lainey; pronouns she/her, early 20s, follow/like/reply as ‘bean-in-every-fandom’. Heteroromantic ace here, so NSFW stuff will never cross this dash!

I’ve been lurking around the whump community for months now, thought that starting my own whump sideblog would give me the encouragement to start interacting more around here but nooo. That ends now, today! (ahaa I hope)

I adore so many blends of tropes that I couldn’t even begin to name them here (also it’s that feeling like I’m finally being asked what movies I like and forgetting every single one I’ve ever seen, ever). Suffice it to say, I’m all for that sweet, sweet h/c, with a little more emphasis on the h. h is fun.

Some of my faaavorite whump blogs, the ones that first made it clear to me that I was not alone in my love of hurting favorite fictional characters, include @collapse-and-comfort, @allthewhumpygoodness, @whumpster-dumpster, @imsorryithurts, @whumpalicious, and @rye-rye-whumperye. Currently following @whumpwillow‘s villain whump series ‘Hazeshift’ (nice way of saying ‘obsessively rereading entire series while I wait desperately for the next installment’) Y’all are amazing people and I am seriously grateful to you for the content you put out.

As for me, I’ll mostly be doing a lot of reblogging, but I also sometimes write (and draw!) whumpy, self-indulgent stuff that I’ll post here so that maybe other people will be able to indulge in it too! I’d really love to make some friends around here, and what better way than through a shared love of whump?

I'm curious about cannibalism so let me throw out a scenario and you peeps tell me if eating humans crosses a line.

A sits quietly at the table as the whumper lights the candle sticks. soft classical music plays and somehow adds to the tense feeling in A's body. "where is B?" A finally got the courage to ask, voice trembling. The whumper grinned at A from his seat "why sweet little A, B is already here" A froze as their brain slowly tried to process what had been said. But as the whumper lifted the lid off the silver plater it all clicked into place and A threw up over the side of their chair.

I'm personally fine with it but then again I'm a huge horror fan.

Just be sure to tag appropriately. You're gonna want stuff like #cannibalism tw for a sequel and #gore tw for a prequel. #horror is also a good idea.

To all of you who participated last year - we have changed a few of the rules, but overall things have stayed the same. To everyone new: WELCOME!

God I so lied when I promised to start posting again. a million things happen after I posted that, like moving out of my parents house and all the things that come with that. One thing led to another and somehow I ended up not even opening Tumblr at all.

so much for promises.

but speaking of such things allow me to provide some scenarios

Promise

The caretaker realizing that they have to break a promise to the whumpee in order to save them or for the greater good. The hurt fill the whumpee's face as they realize what's happening and that the trust is broken.

The whumpee waiting and waiting for the caregiver to come back, because they promised they would and they wouldn't break a promise, would they?

The whumpee struggling to stay awake as the pain overtakes them as the whumper pats their cheek "I'll be back in the morning, I promise"

the whumpee promised the caregiver they'd stay strong, that they'd stay alive and come back, but it looks like they're gonna have to break that promise Promises man, I tell ya there's a beauty in making them and breaking them

Restraining Ideas

First, Kinds of things to restrain with:

Obviously we got rope. but there’s also really rough rope, like the kind that even if you touch it you get little bits of fiber stuck in your hand

personally I like barbed wire but just plain old wire is great too. it cuts into the whumpee’s skin with ease if pulled on too much

classic handcuffs 

zip ties

duct tap

chains

also mental restraining, like if the whumpee moves even a muscle then the whumper will kill their friend or whatever. my favorite is when the whumpee is being whipped and has to hold themselves to the post, otherwise someone else will be punished for it.

next, how they’re restrained 

my favorite thing for a while was the whumpee being suspended from the ceiling, their toes just brushing the floor. honestly it’s still one of my favs.

whumpees being hogtied is great. there’s a movie called Barracuda that has a great hogtied scene in it. however, if I’m remembering correctly, the movie is in french. but I’m also pretty sure you can find it for free on youtube.

the whumpee’s wrists are tied and pulled to each side of the room. pulling their arms apart and forcing them to stay on their knees

also just being tied down on their knees.

I like it when necks are also restrained. like the whumpee is tied to a post with the rope also around their neck, keeping them from moving their head. or maybe the neck is the only thing that is restrained. the whumpee putting them on a leash or leaving them chained up with the cold metal tight around their throat. ugh imagine the bruises.

only having a leg or a wrist restrain with juuuust enough slack to almost reach the door.

also what if the whumpee was being restrained by the neck but like, if they move they get hung? or hanged? hung…..? anyways, the whumper puts them up on a stool or something of the like. the whumpee has to fight after a while because the fatigue is starting to get to them and if they fall off then their dead. or the whumper puts them on a stool and begins the torture. the whumpee can do nothing but stand as still as possible so that he doesn’t strangle himself

I’d like to also offer up the usage of pinch collars/choke chains,, pulling on a choke chain not only pinches the skin and could leave magnificent bruises but limits breathing as well, something I’ve found very useful for my whumpee in the past
