Canada warned the United States what would happen if they refuse to vote just because they’re pissy about Kamala supporting Israel.

A lot of leftists had the right to vote and didn’t use it out of spite.

What’s happening in the United States is awful and I don’t support it one bit but this was avoidable and it’s very hard to sympathize in some cases.

Doing shit like proudly being racist toward Sydney Sweeney because she has blonde hair and blue eyes so she must be the physical embodiment of “eugenics” is exactly why in the past 5 years you people have seen a massive anti-woke, anti-DEI wave. You’re not fighting oppression, you’re becoming the thing you claim to hate.

This normalization of race-based (white) bullying and harassment toward anyone who isn’t “diverse” enough started around 2015–2016. And now more than ever it’s just mirroring MAGA behavior in the opposite direction. It’s the same pattern: over-correcting, over-compensating, then accusing the other side of doing exactly what you’re doing. And when both sides are stuck in a devided loop, nothing changes it just escalates. You’re not standing for equality or diversity you’re over-correcting, over-compensating, and dragging your own cause into a loop of hypocrisy.

Harassing her for having blonde hair and blue eyes isn’t justice or fighting for representation. It’s just racism. Not even “reverse” racism. There’s nothing reverse about just being racist, it doesn’t matter if the person is white brown or black. It’s racism factually. Id also argue to say using the term n//zi incorrectly is even more racist and shows some lack education, like it’s just a poster, it’s not like she’s Elon musk.

And speaking as a Canadian we’re not consumed by race the way Americans are. I understand that’s for historical reasons but holy fuck some of you need to get over yourselves and have your egos knocked down a peg or two, some of you are too damn confident in what you say and have incorrect opinions on. English is a language I’ve known fluently my whole life and still isn’t something I could fully learn perfectly and that makes me insecure sometimes.

But then I realize that native English speakers can’t speak their own language fully either so it balances out lol.

I recently found out “mullato” is considered offensive in the United states but in Canada we call ourselves mullato as mixed people. The term mixed is too vague here, especially since we have so many mixed indigenous people that it’s just better to specify what kind of mixed you are. I actually rarely ever hear the word mixed use in context of being half black. I live in Quebec and the black population here isn’t huge but it’s a term I’ve heard all throughout my life.

I guess in America it makes a lot more sense because there’s a deep rooted dark history there.

But the culture shock is hitting me like a bus not going to lie. A girl in a discord server I’m currently in got really mad at me for using it and we had to kick her.
