Hero!Shinsou and Vigilante!Reader and they meet for the first time during a mission or something (reader has portal powers like voyd from incredibles 2 lol), and they like fall in love or something you can choose. Love your writing and have a nice day/night.
lol personally i think falling in love would take more than one chance meeting, so maybe just an initial crush! also i love Voyd and her character, very good very good. Thank you for enjoying my writing, hope you like this!
The call came in over Shinsou’s earpiece: a group of villains were holding people hostage in a bank until their demands were met. Immediately he ran the half mile towards the bank where officers and negotiators stood nervously outside, waiting for heroes to arrive.
“Ah, you’re here!” The negotiator ran up to Shinsou and summarized the situation, Shinsou listening carefully while keeping an eye on the bank. “So you see, if you could somehow get their leader to come out and surrender, I think everyone else would surrender, too.”
He nodded, understanding what he needed to do. With hostages in the building he needed to be very careful about making sure he didn’t agitate any of the villains who might act aggressively towards the civilians. Paramedics were standing by, but he wanted to avoid injuries if at all possible.
While carefully scoping out the entrance he heard an odd noise from inside. “Shit,” he muttered before sidling up to the front door and peeking inside.
He could see the hostages gathered around in a group. They looked terrified, hopeful a hero would save them soon. Movement caught his eye and, looking around, saw a villain engaged with…someone? Something? Odd portals were popping up, one of which appeared below the villain’s feet, then another on the ceiling, cause him to drop right onto the floor into unconsciousness. “What the hell is happening?”
“So you wanna pick on innocent people huh?” An unfamiliar voice rang out in the bank, causing Shinsou to shift his attention.
A figure wearing a mask and costume - it looked homemade - stood in a fighting stance to the side, drawing the villains’ attention away from the group of scared patrons and employees. “A stand-off? Who the hell is that?”
Getting the situation under control was the top priority, so rather than waiting for an opening Shinsou stepped inside and prepared to use his quirk. “Hey! Stand down!”
Immediately one of the villains looked over and answered without first realizing who he was dealing with. “Huh? I’m no gonna….uh…” His eyes went blank, hands dropped to his sides, jaw slack as Shinsou kept his distance. A couple of the other villains saw what was happening, one of whom recognized the hero.
“Shit! That’s-” She was cut off as a portal appeared under her feet, tossing her to the other side of the room before the masked individual roundhouse kicked her in the face.
Things turned into an absolute shitshow after that, Shinsou ordering villains outside with his quirk while this masked stranger used some portal quirk to toss others away from the hostages. Shinsou felt anxious not knowing who this other person was, but they seemed to be here to help rather than hinder the situation.
Once all the villains were apprehended Shinsou turned around to see the stranger was gone - and a door closing in the back. Quickly he ran, grabbed the door, and flung it open before running down the back alleyway behind the bank while chasing after the silhouette of the masked stranger sprinting away from the scene.
“STOP!” he yelled, but they didn’t answer. The main drawback of his quirk was that, if someone knew how it worked, it could be difficult to trick them into speaking. Instead he ran, cutting corners and dodging back alley trash cans in a futile attempt to catch the masked fighter.
When he rounded one final corner, he came up short, nearly running into a wall. “Where’d they go? The hell..?”
Thinking about their quirk he looked up and, sure enough, saw a glowing portal towards the top of one of the buildings. The stranger hopped through the rift onto the foot of a neighboring building. His capture tape came in handy, but it couldn’t reach up that high.
“HEY!” they called down, now leaning over the side of the building to look down at him. “DON’T BE MAD! JUST TRYING TO HELP! ALSO YOU’RE CUTER IN PERSON THAN ON TV!”
He was about to say something until that last sentence came out of their mouth. “Cute…?”
Before he could do or say anything else, they were gone. Well, at least they didn’t seem like a villain…but they weren’t a registered hero, either. Someone trying to do good but avoid proper channels?
While walking back towards the bank Shinsou wondered about this masked stranger - who they were, what their motivations entailed, and where they came from. If they weren’t hurting people then he could let them off the hook as long as reporters weren’t watching.
“So I’m cute, huh?” He fiddled with the capture tape around his neck, a small smile playing on his face at the thought.
I'm weak for hero/vigilante dynamics esp like this 😔👌 good shit right here
