it was inevitable that he’d end up here again . it was , at this point , a habit of his to find trouble wherever he went . that’s why his mother had left him behind , after all , to escape his cycle of self destruction . he couldn’t blame her of course , couldn’t pretend that he didn’t see this coming . still the abandonment hurt like a motherfucker and he had yet to cope with it . it was only a matter of time before his alleged father did the same . kio had a way of doing that , a way of making all the people in his life leave . he spent most of his life thinking his father was the first , but he’d later find out his father didn’t even know about him until he showed up at his doorstep ; what a huge fucking disappoint his father had in store for him .
kio leaned his head against the glass of the police car . if he had been in any other town he would have been already rotting behind a jail cell but this town was unlike most . his father’s MC , and by extension his father , had deep ties in the way things operated here , including members of the police force . lucky him to have been found breaking into someone’s car by an associate of his fathers . the car came to a stop and kio sat up , eyes narrowed as he watched the officer make his way to the door . with the officer’s back turned, kio tried to pull the door open but groaned when he realized it had been locked . sinking into the seat , he watched as his father stepped out into the porch . only when the officer opened the door and let him out did he have the nerve to meet his father’s gaze . “ i’ll take my shit and leave , “ kio muttered as soon as the police car was out of sight . / @wickdwrites
it wasn’t that jesse ever had to wonder what it was like living his whole life knowing his father hated him but it killed him that a single hook up and lack of communication upon one woman’s behalf led to his own son believing the same thing . he had never been the most sympathetic or ethical person , jesse had been to prison countless amounts of times --- killed for the club a few times as well but he was not void of a soul . having some twenty year old kid stumble upon his door step previously abandoned by the only other family he had claiming to be his son was a shock but not unbelievable and he did not lack enough sympathy to tell him to fuck off . whether he remembered kio’s mother or not --- he could see it , barely but he knew this kid wasn’t lying . it wasn’t like jess ever had anything to give either . he was not rolling in cash or stability , not since his engagement went to shit years prior . the only thing worth money in his life was a bike and a few well loved dogs , not much to profit off of . and after all , jesse had never been the most responsible his old coping methods had him in the beds of any beautiful person that crossed his path in an attempt to fill the loneliness and lack of affection his shit parents had left in his upbringing . it had never been completely out of line to imagine there would be an accidental kid , he just had thought someone would have the decency to tell him .
the cop car rolled up and the last thing jesse had expected was for his son to be sitting in the back , avoiding his gaze at any possibility but it was times like this he was thankful for the clubs connections running deep . at least it was minimal enough to keep some of them out of trouble . the older man leans against the screen door of the old house , watching as the younger one approaches and mutters out a few words . it wasn’t funny but it pulls a dry laugh out of the man and he stands up , opening the door a crack so the dogs wouldn’t all pour out but the other got the hint . “ i’m surprised you thought it’d be that easy . get inside , kio . “ with that , jesse opens the door waiting for him to drag his feet inside whether he liked it or not . “ next time you do whatever it is you were doing please try not to get caught . “
