Nursing school has given me these 4 amazing friends!!! Forever thankful ♥️♥️
Halfway through the semester and everythings going great so far! The pediatric exam was so overwhelming (iykyk), but im so glad its over. Here’s a pic of me and my lab pals from yesterday’s skills lab for Med Surg! Can’t wait for May.
Found some pretty good inspiration on facebook this morning. Remember to always be proud of how far you’ve come & believe in yourself. We’re going to make amazing nurses one day!
About a month left of the semester, I am not sure how time flew so fast! We have one in person clinical left. I am grateful for all I’ve learned this semester and hope to finish strong. I am beginning to get nervous for finals especially since we still have two regular exams left one for med surg and one for pediatrics. Registration is Wednesday and I am on edge about that as well, I just hope it goes smoothly.
Peds Exam
This past week with school has been rather interesting. Between a video that went viral of Nursing School Professor’s bad mouthing students to the Pediatrics exam it’s been a whirl wind. The pediatric exam was SIGNIFICANTLY harder than I could have imagined. I spent hours and hours studying the countless chapters assigned since January that were on the test only to get a failing grade, definitely my most disappointing grade yet and I never want that feeling of defeat again. Time to study for the next one in between all the other demands of nursing school.

Exam Day
First exam of the semester is today and stress levels are high! Adjusting to online school has definitely been a challenge but the biggest challenge is online exam taking. Our scores are shown as soon as we submit the test which in some cases is not the actual grade which can be heart wrenching. Also, during the test we have to have zoom on our phones which is just another little thing I worry about, whether my zoom is set correctly or if I’m muted. Second exam of the semester is tomorrow, so a double whammy. Hopefully these tests don’t line up all semester.

First Clinical Day!
We experienced our first clinical day at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. I feel extremely privileged to be able to do my pediatric clinicals at such a well known, high ranked children’s hospital. The first day consisted of meeting our instructor and the other girls in our group. The hospital was quiet maybe because the effects of COVID regulations or the fact that it was a Sunday so outpatients were not going in and out. We were introduced to the floor that we are going to be on for the semester and participated in a scavenger hunt to make us aware of the important tools that will be needed throughout our time there. I am already looking forward to our next in person clinical and cannot wait to interact with the patients.
These Ladies!!! Wouldn't be able to survive nursing school without them ❤️🩺
