for Doomhammer... o_O? also, check that Greindeer!
S Rank Soraka in solo queue Team Builder. No Masteries. Rito please nerf. xD (afk was Jungle Graves rage quit)
GG.
reblogging to the right account. ;)
1) proof that you can still play really well even if you don’t close out that win.
2) oh my, are the throws are real. give me a game with competent, non-toxic players and i’ll be happy win or lose. check out the graph for this game. i lagged really hard for a solid 15 minutes, restarting the client in between didn’t help. (400 ping? Rito pls! ㅋㅋㅋ~) regardless, my other four teammates kept fighting the good fight. GG.
i’m feelin’ lucky!
pretty sure i won
He had me worried for a second but Life finds a way! My favorite Zerg wins the Intel Extreme Masters Taipei 2015!
What a finals. Very rarely do we get to see a Best of 7 series go all the way to Game 7 but 180,000 viewers happily tuned in to see just that. Maru is good, DAMN GOOD, I'm sure he'll win a number of premier titles in the coming years but Life said, not today. GG~
logged into League last night to find a special surprise! i'm not even sure if owned Poppy or not before yesterday.
and then i immediately checked my smurf account. oh yisss~
here it is friends, my current Hearthstone stats for the year.
so i've been playing a little over a year now and while the gameplay got a bit stale mid-year, the release of Naxx + GvG really breathed new life into the game. it's such a great casual card game and i hope that it'll only get better.
looking back, i miss the days of Frost Control Mages and the Shadow-Stepping Miracle Rogues. i fist-pumped the day Hunters finally got the nerf they deserved. and now i groan every time i see these goddamn Zoo Warlocks...
looking forward, i think that the top three classes will be Mage, Paladin, and Priest (not necessarily in that order). i would love it, if someone perfects the Milling (Druid) decks that are floating around but they're likely a just passing fad. Hunters and Warriors kinda got the short end of the expansion. And lastly, i think that the best Mech decks will be coming out of Rogues.
TheJerkStore called...they're running out of YOU!
i was so thrilled to see some Seinfeld love on ladder. i beat him/her a few turns later and despite us both saying "Well Played" they didn't accept my friend request. perhaps TheJerkStore will see this post and reconsider......hehe. jerk store.
so i was watching the WCS America stream (wtf, Jaedong is out?!) and playing some Ranked Hearthstone matches and i ran into a Paladin deck. i lost within 6-7 turns.
i remade the deck based on everything that i saw and that's what the top image is. 15 cards. two of each. all the cards are either Soulbound or Common, nothing costing more than 40 Arcane Dust.
i am not the best Hearthstone player. Mage is my favorite deck followed by Warrior and Rogue.
ANYWAY, i made the deck and went back to Ranked Play. i won 3 straight games and now i'm Rank 12 (bottom image). can someone tell me why this deck works so well? is it the brute aggression + lack of finesse? does it only work in my general ranking? further more, i'm sure there are much better cards than these 15 that i just happen to have. anyone have any thoughts?
thank god i beat this guy!
WiggleU vs WiggleLot
whelp. since the latest patch exclusively gimped Mage Control decks, i decided to add a bunch of minions, bench all of the cold-esque cards and thus, "theHeater" was born.
for the moment, 2x Acolyte of Pain is working out well enough that i may drop one Arcane Intellect and pick up a second Dalaran Mage. without a single Frostbolt i feel kinda naked vs equips, in which case i'll need to squeeze an Acidic Swamp Ooze in or perhaps more taunts? it's working as is so i won't mess with it just yet.
btw, turn 2: Faerie Dragon, turn 3: Shattered Sun Cleric, turn 4 Dark Iron Dwarf is really scary!
as the month is coming to an end, the first 'season' is also ending and my current Rank is floating from 19-17. personally i don't think a month is quite enough time for casual players to reach the higher ranks especially IF patches roll out after each season to adjust the meta game. there's also much less time to experiment with different classes which is something Blizzard would probably want more people to do.
that said, my interest in Hearthstone has spiked back up post-patch(es). hopefully the handful of glitches are fixed soon so that the game could finally be released. in the meantime, happy holidays everyone! -J.A
i pulled my very first Legendary Card in Hearthstone the other day, Grommash Hellscream! i've been feeling that my Warrior deck(s) have been very lacking as of late so i was really glad to get it, though funnily enough, i spent this weekend refining a passable Control Mage deck...
the Imp Master and Violet Teacher are pretty cute in this deck; they distract, confuse and bait out a lot of basic removal spells. in the instance that they're ignored, the Ancient Mage makes a couple of Spellpower dudes to pump spells. for lack of a Pyroblast, Fireball dealing at least 6 damage for 4 mana is not bad at all.
considering the draw cards: Cult Master is a little weird; sometimes i wish it were a Chillwind Yeti / Water Elemental but other times it's great when i have Mirror Images out or if i'm using the Wolfrider to suicide into something. i used to like Acolyte of Pain but i'll often find that it dies in one hit or simply removed from the field via Shadow Word: Pain which is a decent trade but doesn't fulfill it's purpose, which is gaining card advantage. (side note, Acolyte of Pain + Inner Rage in a Warrior deck). lastly i've been favoring, Loot Hoarder over Novice Engineer lately, except in Rogue decks.
depending on my opponent's deck, i'll either have too much board clear or just enough to make them rage quit. not being able to attack is incredibly frustrating but at the end of the day, you still need to deal the minimum 30 damage to grab that win. currently, wheee5.5 is competitive but still lacking.
eventually i'd like to replace the Questing Adventurer for an Alexstrasza, swap a Mirror Image for an Ice Block and i think the Cult Master would become a Water Elemental...at which point, the Argent Commander might be better as a Darkscale Healer. hmmmm...lots of tinkering to do yet. -J.A
i've been in the Hearthstone Beta for almost a month now. so far, i really like the Shaman, Mage and Druid classes. lately though i've been tinkering around with the Warrior and i'd say he's definitely strong. i like equipping weapons and enraging minions. it's thrilling going blow for blow, getting near death, exhausting your opponent's resources before clinching the win. a very visceral feeling indeed.
i'm glad that this scrub Warrior deck can take games off guys in 1-Star Diamond. it really only loses to decks with lots of burst damage (Merlocks, Unleash the Hounds, etc.). if i had the right Pirate Minions i think it'd run a lot better and burst like the rest of them!
despite having the option of spending money and getting all the cards right away, i still find that Hearthstone is very much free to play game. i've yet to spend a single dime on the game (though if i had the extra scratch, i totally would have by now).
that being said, you can still earn gold via Quests, Arena and winning every 3 Games on Ranked. i've opened maybe 10-12 packs, a few Epics but no Legendary cards pulled yet...maybe if i didn't suck so much in Arena, i'd have gotten more out of my gold. :/
lol. -J.A
i've tweeted about the glitch in first image before, when you play Sap, returning an enemy minion to your opponents' hand. the next two images are the result of me playing Vanish and then playing Sap afterward.
the minions are no longer in play but from my perspective, are face down, in the background, wherever they were on the field, not impeding vision.
the glitch in the fourth image however does impede vision of the opponent's field. my opponent, Neph, just played the card Headcrack (3 Mana, Deal 2 damage to enemy hero, Combo: Return this to your hand next turn) triggering the combo.
all during my next turn, the card hovered over his field blocking vision of his minions until Headcrack returned from the ether into his hand on his next turn.
the cards: Sap + Vanish (i'm sure it happens with Freezing Trap as well, though i don't have the card myself to confirm) are my Spells interacting with my opponent's minions, returning them to their hand. whereas Headcrack is a Spell my opponent plays that is returned to their hand if the combo is triggered.
it's important to note that cards like Youthful + Ancient Brewmaster and Shadowstep don't have these visual glitches. cards that my opponent plays interacting with his own minions.
these are just visual glitches that don't break any of the gameplay mechanics but since Hearthstone is still in Beta, i figure i'd try and report my findings like any good tester. loving the game btw. thanks Blizzard! ♥~ -J.A
i think Mind Control needs a nerf. in my humble opinion, it should be a 'come-from-behind' card, not a 'get-more-ahead' card.
make it something like: (>10) Mana, Take control of enemy minion. Costs (1) less for each enemy minion.
... because the card's errata isn't incorrect. :[
