Bootleg Dorothy the Dinosaur plushies
To promote The Wiggles Movie in 1997, Australian fast food chain Red Rooster included finger puppets in their “Little Red Rooster” kids meals.
In 2006, the Dorothy and Wags toys from this set were repackaged by Dorcy International with various sizes of batteries.
In the booklet for the 1996 album Wake Up Jeff!, a person named Sir Lesley Longlie was listed in the special thanks message.
On November 4 2020, over 24 years after the album’s release, a character named Sir Lesley Longlie makes his debut in a post on Anthony Field’s Instagram. Whether the character was named after a real person The Wiggles knew or Anthony made up the name and only found a use for it recently has yet to be confirmed.
