A dystopian world, with blood magic, but it's not about purity, or virginity, or abstract social ideals. It's rooted much more in science/biology. Blood types, and antigens grant different powers. Iron becomes an incredibly valuable resource. Fibrinogen is harvested and sold on the black market. Bigotry and hatred centers around blood conditions like sicle cell, hemophilia, leukemia, HIV and hemochromatosis.
