“So you know?” Haibara says with a tilt of his head looking at Frost.
“Of course I do Yu. This is Satoru we’re talking about, he’s not actually that hard to read
It feels silent between them for a while as they walked down the corridor.
And again, Frost doesn’t need her sight to know that Utahime’s Lead Knight held feelings for her.
Her body aches so much – pain was everywhere. She doesn’t remember a lot of what happened, or how she got here, or even where she is. Her eyes are finding it hard to adjust to the place she has woken up in.
Now, Frost isn’t a fearful person, she doesn’t get scared but something wasn’t right and her fingers easily find the bracelet at her wrist and giving it a snap. She can barley make out the figures in the room, but she guesses one is Shoko by the sound of her voice.
“Frost!” “You’re awake!” Multiple voices speaking at once as Shoko helped her into a sitting position- one of Shoko’s helpers eagerly helping with placing a pillow behind Frost.
“Eye chart,” Shoko says, and when it’s in front of her – Frost can barley make out the smaller letters. Just being able to make out the biggest one at the top. Frost can hear the frown in Shoko’s voice as she speaks after the exam, “Weekly cheeks for your vision are needed. You can’t perform your Knightly Duties yet, until I clear you.”
With a huff, Frost crosses her arms against her chest – being benched wasn’t fun but of all the Doctors here, Frost is willing to accept Shoko’s benching and not protest it. Anyone else, she would.
knockout spells were hard to come by, especially those with the intention to single out one person – so whoever this was, was determined to get what they want, even if it harms others.
“We were at the lake, cooling off when smoke er-”
“Smoke?” Shoko’s voice interrupts the conversation, and Gojo nods his head and watches as Shoko quickly puts an oxygen mask over Frost’s face, “Someone has attacked Frost specfically.”
“Because if they target your Lead Knight, they think you’ll either avenge them – or we Knights will, leaving you defenceless. They’re wanting you, but know your guards are just as strong and they don’t know if they can out match us all.
This was the lake closest to the Palace, so whoever it was attacking felt like they would be able to get away with it. Or, they planned to go down with their attack – but right now, Gojo was focused on making sure Frost was okay.
Quickly onto his feet Gojo runs over to her body, quickly scooping her into his arms as he teleports them to the infirmary, “Shoko!” Gojo calls out, worry filling his voice as he finds himself in the infirmary, his friend and one of the Royal Healers coming out from her office. Her face stoic as usual as she grabs Frost out from his arms with the help of another healer.
Nanami was trying to read in the shade, one of his other Knights on duty today. Watching as Frost walks out of the lake towards him, a playful smirk spreading across her lips, “Keep looking at me like that, and I might think you think I’m attractive.” She jests as she lays herself down next to Gojo on her own towel. Frost has a sense of self confidence; she knows she is attractive but to think anyone close to her would look at her like that, it never crosses her mind.
Looking over the top of his sunglasses, “You know you are,” He says back, before laying down on his own towel, basking in the warm sun
