Not Just Another Fairy Tale

Muse A is a princess who’s been living in a faraway tower for most of her life. She knows that one day a brave knight will arrive to rescue her, that he will ask her hand in marriage, and they will live happily ever after. Yet, a fierce dragon guards the castle and has killed every knight that’s dared to even approach the castle that houses the princess. 

Everyone pities the princess, imagining it to be a terribly lonely life for her, but no one is aware that she has found true love. Every night, the dragon becomes a handsome young man, who has fallen deeply, deeply in love with the princess. The dragon is not a vicious creature who can only kill, but a man protecting a woman so no other man can take her away. When he is injured in battle, the princess tends to his wounds and when he is well, they stroll the gardens at dusk. They lead a happy life together, and the dragon never wants to let the princess go. One day, the princess receives a letter via a carrier pigeon informing her that her mother has died and her father is sick and dying with grief. The kingdom will fall into chaos without a ruler, and many knights plan to bombard the castle in order to rescue her.  In order to save the kingdom, the princess must be rescued, but in order for that to happen, the dragon must be slain. The princess cannot abandon her kingdom, and the dragon cannot take on a horde of knights who are seeking to be the new king. Will the dragon sacrifice himself to save the kingdom or will he die protecting the castle and princess he loves?

♛━»   Zero was out sick today, so Elizabeth was asked to help protect the Night Class during the crossover… but of course she blew that off! One more moment around the Day Class females and there may have been heads rolling across the pavement. Now was the perfect time to bum out in the stables, one of the only places in the school where quietude could be found anyway. Elizabeth, with a book at her side, was strolling towards the barn when she caught sight of a Night Class student she happened to recognize. What is he doing out here? A lengthy sigh passed through her lips– she would have to address the issue before trouble ensued.

     “Excuse me, Akatsuki. I hate to bother you, but I have to ask what it is you’re doing out here. I know you’re not a troublemaker, so I’m assuming you have a reason.”

     Akatsuki looked over when someone spoke to him, wondering for a moment who it was before remembering a couple of other students having mentioned Cross’ daughter being at the school. “Elizabeth right?” He questioned before telling her. “I just needed a bit of quiet time away from Hanabusa--a break from him everyone once in a while is healthy.” Well he did consider Aido his best male friend, it didn’t make what he’d said any less true.

Looking at the male, he sighed softly. 

      “Yes I had a shoot..”

After that, he just seemed to fall silent, not really sure of what to do. Well he could ask the other why he was up…but he probably didn’t care. Or he knew that it had something to do with Hanabusa.

     Sometimes Akatsuki forgot just how talkative Senri was, internal sarcasm fully intended. Not that he was the most talkative person, but it was a bit strange being around someone like Senri or Rima with all of the time that he spent around Aido. Still--awkward silence wasn’t something he was looking forward to sitting in, and so instead he said as he took a seat on the couch. “So, how have thing’s been Senri?”

     Akatsuki didn’t tend to wander the grounds much on his own usually when he did it it was to keep Aidou out of trouble. However tonight he needed some quiet, and maybe a bit of time to himself. It wasn’t really dark out, but the sun had nearly set and Day Class student’s were suppose to be in their dorm by now, so he figured that it was safe enough.

     Despite being tired, Akatsuki had been unable to sleep. Something which he blamed on Aidou snoring from under the heap of blanket’s on his own bed. As he made it to the small couch area/living room of the dorm he noticed Senri. “--What are you doing down here in the middle of the day? Did you have a photo shoot or something?” He managed to get out before yawning.
