I'm an artist from Italy, and I work with digital media. I specialize in illustration and character design.

I'm also a FFXIV Gpose enthusiast, and I write fanfic for my OCs in my free time.

FFXIV

I've been playing FFXIV since its original launch in 2010. I'll happily tell details of the story of the two characters I play to anyone who will listen to me, through gposing, art and writing.

Wilan Serulia

Wilan hails from a small island off the coast of La Noscea. The fisherman's life, however, never appealed to him, his gaze ever pointed beyond the horizon, his traveler's heart aching to explore the world.

Fate had other plans for the fledgling adventurer, however. Hydaelyn chose Wilan as her Champion, her Warrior of Light, and he's been slowly buckling under the growing weight of the many responsibilties placed on his shoulders.

Delen Aldanea

Born in a Garlean-occupied Terncliff, Delen grew up under imperial dictatorship until Eorzea's champion killed Gaius van Baelsar in combat, when she managed to escape while the colonies under his command scrambled to re-establish order.

After reaching the shores of Eorzea as a refugee, the Werlytian girl was taken in by the very same Warrior of Light who felled the Black Wolf, who gave her a place to stay. Free at last but still stuck in her traumas, in Limsa she would meet a friend who would slowly but surely help her move forward with her life and enjoy what her newfound freedom had to offer.

TTRPG

I've been playing TTRPG for, like, 15 years now. D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, DnD 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Fate RPG, and most recently Fabula Ultima. Over this decade and half I've created plenty of characters and, boy, I can't stop talking about them if you get me going.

I have way too many OCs to list on a pinned post. I did however list them here. But I'll introduce a few more recent and prominent ones anyway.

Lyrinn

Paladin of Mielikki, sworn to the Oath of the Ancients. Lyrinn's origins are tied to Undermountain, the so-called "dungeon of the Mad Mage" that sprawls under the city of Waterdeep, but they're otherwise shrouded in mystery. Adopted as an infant by Durnan, the owner of the Yawning Portal, she grew up listening enraptured to tales of adventure and heroism. Lyrinn also displayed an affinity with nature from a very young age, which led her to be tutored by a local ranger in her teens.

When she came of age, she chose to swear the Oath of the Ancients, pledging to keep the light shining on the community she so loved. However, questions about her mysterious origin never left her mind. Growing up she would often find herself staring into the abyss from which she was delivered, transfixed. It was only a matter of time before she joined one of the many groups that ventured below ground, hoping to uncover the truth about herself.

Viria

Born from an affair between a desert elf and a human woman, the mixed-race child has been unwanted by her human family ever since she was born, her very presence an uncomfortable reminder of her mother's infidelity. She ran away from home in her teens, around the time she started to develop her magic powers from her elven bloodline, met a similarly outcast half-orc girl and turned to a life of delinquency for a while under the destructive influence of her companion. But in the end she came into her own thanks to her found family, who accepted her for who she was and taught her a better way to be herself, and she blossomed into a bright and cheerful young woman.

Hoshiko

Living a cyberpunk world where lovecraftian mythos were revealed to be real, Hoshiko Yukimura is a brilliant student of the University of Prague, enrolled in the faculty of Arcane Studies. Her natural pre-disposition for controlling magic made her a candidate for an elite corp of soldiers called Vakyries, and under the many pressures of the academy, society and her own family, Hoshiko caved, put aside anything she could consider childish or immature and dedicated herself to the pursuit of her studies.

That is, until a botched ritual called an unknown creature into this world. The entity, inhabiting the cat-like construct intended to serve as a familiar, luckily seems to be benovelt toward Hoshiko, grants her a mysterious power, and is bringing chaos into the orderly girl's life, somehow pushing her toward healthier life choises in the process.

I don't normally share these. 🙈 The first picture in particular was a sketch I did with a ballpoint pen on a scrap of paper during my lunch break at work. I really wanted to keep working on it because I was envisioning the "halo" in the canopy, and I'm glad it turned out this well!

Light Through Leaves

Lyrinn, paladin of Mielikki

I finally got around to draw a proper illustration for my newest D&D character! I've been wanting to run a Paladin in 5e ever since I've read about the Oath of the Ancients subclass, and I finally had the chance now that I'm playing Dungeon of the Mad Mage.

I admit, I love the idea of Oaths, of a paladin's power coming from their conviction and ideals first and foremost, and how the Oath of the Ancients specifically is about light and community in a way that feels different from the classical paladin. I wanted to reflect that in my design, and leaning into the nature's aspect because of other elements tied to her origins.

Turns out however there's not a lof of examples around of Oath of the Ancients paladins I could get inspiration from, huh. Mostly I've come across the archetype of the "green knight", which to me mostly just looked like a normal knight with a full-plate armor painted green and moss growing on it. That's no good! So I tried figuring it out as I went.

I wanted my paladin to look something like a ranger, but more "noble" and approachable. I focused on warm colors and a mostly round shape language, trying to avoid sharp angles whenever possible. I opted for a piecemeal leather armor (which works well with her DEX build on her character sheet) and I've trying to evoke a heroic figure by drawing inspirations not from knights of western tradition but from classical JRPG brave heroes, the yūsha, like the hero from Dragon Quest 3 or Link from Legend of Zelda. As finishing touches I incorporated celtic knots into her design, as a tie to the nordic-inspired origins of the character.

And well, I hope I can say I managed to reach my goal! I think this works well as a design that rides the line between what you'd expect from a paladin and somebody trained by a ranger. I feel pretty satisfied with it. What do you think? I'd be curious to hear.

A Red Mage and his Apprentice

Chapter 5 is out now!

Hopefully this one isn't too heavy with exposition? I do try to avoid that, but I had points I wanted to make and elements I wanted to set up for later that require a bit of a deeper understanding of Red Mage lore. Plus it's a chapter on the shorter side.

“Hmm.” X’rhun considered. “Well, that sounds like an ideal position. Versed enough in the manipulation of aether, but not too deep into the study of a particular discipline to embrace another. Modern disciplines are, by their very nature, somewhat limited in scope.” Reassured by the response, he inquired “Do you use your own school of magic?” “This might come as a shock to you,” he retorted, an amused smirk on his face “but Red Mages employ a discipline known as Red Magic.” Wilan conceded his blunder with a tilt of his head. “Heh. Sounds a lot like Black Magic. Or White Magic, for that matter.” “Well, that would be because the principles of Red Magic were founded on the combined knowledge and wisdom of both White and Black Magic.” Wilan stopped his chocobo in its tracks, shocked. “Woah!” he exclaimed, eyeing their surroundings in a panic to make sure nobody had overheard them. “Aren’t those, like, super-illegal!?” X’rhun’s chocobo came to a halt a moment later. He turned his head and arched an eyebrow, a simple motion that however hit Wilan like a slap to the face. He scrambled to reword his question. “Uh, ah... F-forgive me my, uh... b-b-but I was under the impression that said schools of magic were, uuh...” he glanced to the side, raking his brain for the right words “no, uh, had been banished from common usage since time immemorial. Did mine ears misread― mishear your words, perchance?” The Crimson Duelist’s gaze remained fixed on the Warrior of Light’s face, eyebrows furrowed, and then a long moment later he exhaled, only slightly disappointed. Wilan relaxed, his mouth curling upward at the corners at the sight of his mentor’s reaction. He was making progress after all!

As the adventuring party descended the stairs to the next level of the dungeon, the young paladin experiences... a vision? A memory? What are those figures marching towards? What are they seeking? A friendly hand touches her shoulder, and the vision vanishes in the blink of an eye.

A very cool scene happened at he end of a DnD session, featuring @wilanserulia's paladin. She's so precious! Can't wait to see where the story goes :3c

Self indulgent dnd character random bust because I have free will and a free saturday night!

I wanted it to be minimum effort and minimum time and still took out almost two hours and a half. Jeez.

I was half thinking ofstarting doing characters and npcs for the campaign in this style but I'd have to simplify and speed up a bit for it to be viable XD Had fun tho.
