jessica was born in a small town in louisiana & lived there until she was around the age of five. she def had a cute ass accent !! & sometimes, you can hear it in her voice if she gets irritated.
she was discovered by an executive producer in her mom’s workplace; apparently, they were in town looking for a cute kid to play a supporting role in a new upcoming tv show ( kinda like a crossover of mickey mouse clubhouse & full house ). she was THAT cute kid handing out stickers & just overall entertaining guests w/ her bubbly attitude.
her mother was at first going to turn the offer down - however, they were struggling & she was desperate. hecK she even thought it could’ve opened up many opportunities for her daughter - which it later did !!
she remained on the show up until the age of sixteen & that’s the same year, she started getting into music. ENTER ... baby one more time !!
another acting project came into her favor - crossroads. ( which y’all should know about b/c iconic ).
now remember the show that earned her fame from the get-go ?? she ended up dating her co-star who also happened to be her first kiss. everyone & their mother shipped them, however - they weren’t picture perfect as everyone thought. they had issues like every other couple. both were either on tour or doing other projects, making it difficult to see & be with each other. they would often have little arguments here & there & it didn’t feel like much of a relationship.
they dated for three & a half years before calling it quits - reportedly, due to accusations of cheating. he blamed only jessica - though, he was ALSO having an affair with a backup dancer ?? tho, she never threw him under the bus.

the birth of in the zone happened & one song in particular sparked controversy - which was EVERYTIME. fans were all in agreement that the song had in fact been about her ex, however, after the music video was released, many were worried that the singer was suicidal.
few months later, she experienced a breakdown & her mother confirmed reports that she had attempted suicide not once, but TWICE. the reason being was never revealed.
after the second attempt, they enlisted her into treatment & placed her onto indefinite hiatus.
it was a shock to fans when the singer dropped blackout, after nearly a year of treatment.
she’s twenty-six now ( going on twenty-seven in dec. ) & has had five albums now !! her latest release was blackout & she’s currently in the works with circus.
she struggles with anxiety & gets uncomfortable whenever being put on the spot/being the center of attention. like, she appreciates all that her fans does don’t get her wrong - but being preached like she’s a goddess kinda creeps her out.

fun fact: she hurt herself during the oops ! ... i did it again music vid & she had to get stitches. but home girl didn’t cancel the shoot. she took an hour off to heal & then told everyone the show must go on !! a bADASS !!
