so! i have a lot of Thoughts about the burning wall! i'm actually going through the corrupted crystal part of the msq on an rp alt, which is why i grabbed these, and- msq is kinda hilarious about the sample you get from here:

so burning wall is wind-flavored! but we know from the xvi crossover quests that it does have a connection to phoenix (a fire primal). i usually attribute the discrepancy to be in phoenix's nature as a fire primal who is as close to being astral as possible without tipping over into solely astral/darkness due its birth being from louisoix wishing for a realm reborn (life, activity, regrowth, healing). i think the blue ones are either bahamut leftovers or also phoenix (since phoenix has blue bits in it as well).

lore purists for something like ffxiv baffle me because ffxiv contradicts itself every time a new expansion comes out. like i don't think the writers are as committed to one single truth as you seem to believe

okay so you know how ffxiv has the time bubble thingy? and you know how most people just make up their own timeline for how long the game took place over so far? so this is something i've been waffling over, especially after somebody informed me that they popped the time bubble during an interview (i haven't tracked it down yet; i suspect said interview came out between shb and end).

i usually go by the one year per expac rule when doing MSQ timeline writing, as that helps with a lot of the implied dynamics between the wol and the scions.

rp writing is a whole other ball of wax, but that's largely because i'm not writing around keeping alphinaud and alisae on the younger elezen model. rp writing i do 1:1 with IRL time

Hey so. That mod is accurate. As someone from SWANA i can say that y'all are really bunch of racist clowns, after all. I fucking can't with this fandom. Those outfits are orientalist to boot. They suck. If Square Enix really wanted, they would've put decent outfits that are inspired from our countless traditional clothing. Even my country has dozens of them let alone the entire region. And they're all miles better than this bs. If i see even one of you in those glams that's a block from me. Gtfo my sight.
