came out of a movie today and got cornered by a couple of creeps who "fixed" some dents in my car without me ever agreeing to it and then refusing to let me go until i paid them. they also kept flirting with (leering at) me. kept calling me beautiful in one breath while trying to extract literally four digits of cash in the next. one of them asked what my relationship status was. might be the most "harassed for being a woman" i've ever been.

i didn't want to call the police but they literally stood on either side of me until i sent them zelle cash. when i did call 911 the dispatcher heard my voice and i heard them describing me as a male who was intimidated by two men in a parking lot. they sounded suspicious. because why would a male be intimidated by other men, right.

the officers that came did recognize me as a woman but since the creeps technically provided a service (you know, by intimidating and pressuring me into it) and there were no explicit threats or weapons there wasn't much they could do.

i puked when i finally got home from the frayed nerves.

i'm sick of only being a woman when it can be used against me.
