some of the new editions to the garden this year; lupine ‘pink grapefruit’, allium ‘bubble bath’, and echinacea ‘sunseeker’s rainbow’ they’re all soooo pretty!
delphinium, ‘rise up lilac days’ rose, and ‘full tide’ Iris. The Iris is only blooming now because I planted it as a bulb this spring, it has an amazing scent!
yellow irises on a windy lake day
camping at lake tomahawk last weekend
first rose opened last week! Ringo all star rose, pink lemonade baptisia, and lace veil petunia!
‘totally tangerine’ avens, wild blackberry blooms, and ‘all the time’ reblooming Iris
photo dump of my trip to door county last week, that place is just full of amazing landscaping and I love it. if I ever get rich (won’t happen) I would love a little cabin there (also just notice I’d be a horrible photographer because most of those horizon lines are NOT straight…)
Polyphemus moth that I saw last night, plus I got to see a two year cub playing on the road near my house on the drive to work (we have lots of bears in the area but I’ve never seen one within a mile of my house)
all of my columbines in bloom.
creeping phlox Emerald Blue, grape hyacinth (said Baby’s Breath but looks a lot more white than the photos online), lamium Herman’s Pride, and variegated Solomon’s seal all in bloom now!
I love being in the garden this year and walking through everyday and seeing it progress. I started planting 3 years ago and I can tell it’s made a massive difference to the pollinators and birds.
trillium that I spotted today!
so precious
some of the small wildflowers in the woods where I live; avens maybe, sessile bellwort, and violets
brunnera (Jack Frost), bergenia (Red Beauty), lungwort (Twinkle Toes), white bleeding hearts, fritillaria, ajuga, alpine currant, and vinca all flowering now!
These are the only things blooming in my garden currently. I think the tree is a serviceberry and the shrub a blueberry? (Zone 4a)
went back to the paint mines on a stormy day
I have another cactus with no idea what it is. If anyone does let me know! Either way I don’t think I’ve ever seen green cactus flowers in person and was very surprised when they opened (they do change to a light yellow before they die)
