Charlene wore her new lemon wedges with real zest and confidence.
@angelface13-charlene is this you? :P
“Crossover tonight. 11pm. Hollywood Studios.” Finn texted this out to all of the Keepers. Normal patrols of the Studios had gotten a little more interesting recently. It was almost as if they were being watched by… he hated to even think it, but it felt like it had when he knew every corner of the park was teeming with OTs. Hopefully tonight the Keepers could figure out what was going on.
Maybeck’s eyes scanned over the text a few times, and his brain began to spin remembering how uneasy he’d felt the last few times he’d crossed over. He began to worry, and thought about what would happen if the past began to repeat itself. He tried to shrug the thought off as just… being overly cautious, but there was a part of him that couldn’t let go of the feeling that he was being watched whenever he crossed over.
Amanda knew something was going to happen. Her sister never said anything about it, but Jess didn’t need to for Amanda to know about it. Amanda knew her sister had a dream about tonight, but she trusted that she would tell them all eventually. Maybe it was time for her to ask Jess about the dream before it was too late. She sent a private text to Finn what was going on, what her plan was, and what she thought could happen.
As Charlene read the text, a feeling of dread settled in the pit of her stomach. She had seen someone watching her from the shadows the last time they crossed over to Hollywood Studios. She called out to them, but they had disappeared before she could discern anything about them.
Sometimes, it felt like Willa’s life was a loaded pair of dice. It didn’t matter which way someone rolled, everything always fell into place, her numbers always caming back as sevens. Except in this case, her sevens were a feeling of foreboding that came with being a Keeper. The sky had been overcast and gloomy all day, not that uncommon for a stormy June afternoon in Orlando, but even so, today, the storm brought its own chill (now that, that was uncommon). The previous night, she had dreamt of the last time she had been in the parks as a DHI and she had felt eyes on her back, multiple ones, heard an electric hum, almost robotic from some bushes. When Willa had approached the bushes in real life, there had been nothing there. The sounds had stopped, the air had gone still. It had been nothing. But in her dream, she had looked behind the bushes and found a dozen large figures, standing and staring down ominously. She couldn’t see their faces, but she remembered feeling frozen in fear and wanting to scream. Willa had shot up in bed, waking up in a cold sweat.
It’s just a nightmare though. Stop overreacting. You checked the bushes and there was nothing.
But she hadn’t. She hadn’t felt the need to check the bushes after the night had gone silent. What if she had been wrong?
That regret and fear stuck with Willa.. Finn’s text had been the final nail in the coffin though. Short and to the point. The usual, but Willa could feel it in her stomach. Things were changing and she wasn’t sure it was for the good. It felt like things were stirring up again. What if they were drawn into another fight? As 11PM drew closer, Willa dressed in dark jeans and a black t-shirt with a minimal design. She snuck a few pieces of candy into her pockets in case she ran into some characters and curled up under the covers. All the pieces of life were just coincidences; nothing more. It’s what she tried to convince herself of. But even as she felt the pull of sleep drag her down as she waited to crossover, she knew deep down the Keepers would have to collect notes and hope the dice hadn’t landed on their sevens again.
Philby was the first to wake up right where the giant Sorcerer’s Hat used to be. When Disney decided to switch the icon of Hollywood Studios to the Tower of Terror, Philby worried what it might mean for the landing spot. He certainly didn’t want to find himself in the haunted Hollywood tower. None of them did. Luckily, the spot hadn’t changed. Philby sat up and took in his surroundings. Everything was quiet. Not peaceful, but quiet.
Finn arrived next. Ever since the removal of the Soceror’s Hat, he was always confused as to where he was. He blinked a few times, finally registering the top of the Chinese Theater.
Amanda arrived after Finn, and nearly let out a scream. She had hoped that no more activity from any Overtaker would surface, and her worst nightmare came true. She wasn’t ready to be back, she didn’t know what could surface or resurface.
Charlene arrived just as Amanda screamed. She scrambled to her feet, but saw nothing aside from Finn and Philby.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scream. I just never thought that we’d ever come back to this nightmare. I thought we talked about this nightmare enough for it to never happen again.” Amanda said, a little sheepishly.
“We don’t know if… they’re here. We jusy know something different might be here…” Finn’s voice trailed off. “It’s probably nothing.” He didn’t sound sure.
Willa blinked sleep out of her eyes and found herself in the parks, just as expected. She stretched and hobbled to her feet, joining the gang. She barely caught Finn’s final comment of “It’s probably nothing.” But Willa and the gang had known him for years; that wasn’t the confident tone Finn used sometimes when he was sure of a fact. Maybe it wasn’t nothing. Like the bushes from days before.
“You think something is here, right?” Willa asked Finn, saddling up beside Philby nervously. “I had something happen a few days ago…I thought it was nothing but…” Will chewed on her lower lip. “I don’t know…”
“Yeah,” Finn finally admitted. “It’s just little things and none really malicious… Something just feels off.” He looked around, thinking he felt eyes on him.
“There will always be villains in the parks,” Philby reasoned. “They may not be OTs, though. We should still check it out.” He glanced around. “When Maybeck finally lands, that is.”
Willa frowned. “Do you think they’ll be as bad?” She still got nightmares about being locked inside the coffin, about Frollo threatening to drown them, Philby trapped in the wall, Finn dead. She shuddered slightly, her DHI light flickering with it.
I can’t let that scare me. We’ve beaten worse things. A couple of villains are nothing. No fear.
Willa felt her DHI stabilize and she shook her head. “Sorry.” She tucked a strand of her dark hair behind her ear, “I was just overthinking things again.” She stretched on her tiptoes, looking around. “I hope Jess and Maybeck join us soon.”

A Memo To Disney Cast Members.
A Disney Cast Members’ top priority is the comfort and safety of our guests. For this reason, all Disney World employees must follow these rules. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
Ask to examine the photos our guests have taken. Be friendly. Check for abnormalities. If any are found, call for security. Guests may be distracted with free merchandise.
Every seventh photograph taken on the Dinosaur attraction must be deleted. If questioned, explain that it was a technical error and offer Fast Passes.
The rumors of sharks and crocodiles in the Lagoon are false. However, there is no swimming outside of designated swimming pools on Disney property.
Dead alligators are common around the Lagoon. Simply evacuate the area, call security, then take note of how much has been eaten.
There is only one Mickey out at once. If you find a second Mickey having an autograph session, check for eye holes. All Disney costumes have eye holes.
If you don’t find eye holes, allow the session to continue, but disallow photos. Call security immediately after the session concludes.
If you spot a second Mickey off to the side, lure him into the tunnels. That’s what the ducks are there for. Leave immediately afterwards, and do not look back.
The Disney World security unit does not wear specially marked clothing. If you see someone wearing a shirt that says “Disney Security”, shut down that section of the park immediately.
Following these rules will help ensure a safe and pleasurable trip to the happiest place on Earth. So stay knowledgeable, and stay safe.
February Crossover Schedule. Sorry for getting it up so late!
Thanks for putting this up
ultimately i think kindness is the most radical thing you can do with your pain and your anger. it’s like, you take everything awful that’s ever been done to you, and you throw it back in the world’s teeth, and you say no, fuck you, i’m not going to take this. you say this is unacceptable. you say that shit stops with me.
humans are fucking terrible and this awful world we live in will fucking kill you but if you are kind, if you are brave and clever and try really hard, you can defy it. you can impose on this bleak and monstrous structure something beautiful. even if it’s temporary. even if it doesn’t heal anything inside you that’s been hurt.
i’m gonna sleep and i’m gonna wake up and i swear by everything in this deadly horrible universe i’m gonna make someone happy.
i’ve seen a number of comments and tags where people feel that they must swallow or repress their anger in order to engage in kindness. that is not at all what i am recommending here. radical kindness is an expression of anger. it is not passive. it is not repressive. it does not require you, in any way, to forgive those that have fucked you up. it does not require you to be quiet.
it just requires that you be kind. viciously. vengefully. you fight back. you plant flowers. give to charity. play games. pet someone’s dog. scream into the dark. paint and write and dance, tell jokes, sing songs, bake cookies. you have been hurt and you don’t have to deny that hurt. you just have to recognize it in other people, and take their hand, and say: no more. enough. fuck this. no more.
have a cookie.
i will say this again: we are all going to die. the universe is enormous and almost entirely empty. to be kind to each other is the most incredible act of defiance against the dark that i can imagine.
i will say this again: we are all going to die. the universe is enormous and almost entirely empty. to be kind to each other is the most incredible act of defiance against the dark that i can imagine.
1. The universe is indifferent. We ought not be.
2. A good quote: There are two kinds of people. Those who think, “I don’t want anyone to suffer like I did.” And those who think, “I suffered; why shouldn’t they?”
3. Two good quotes by Kurt Vonnegut: “Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies-“God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
And: “Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.”
This is like the best post I’ve read on this site!

Hey
Nick here. Finally got on Tumblr
Glad we got you on here!
Sure, Finn Whitman takes a nap for three weeks straight and is considered “brave” and “clever” for saving the Disney parks, but when I take a nap for a day, it’s “lazy” and “irresponsible” and “stop sleeping all the time get a job go to class you’re never going to be a dhi or a kingdom keeper.” Um, rude.
