mabel was a very clingy baby and couldn't stand to be away from dipper (even if she had to take a bath, she would scream and cry when she was away from him)

dipper didn't cry much as a baby, which deeply unsettled his parents. not even mabel's crying made him cry, and his parents were out wondering what tf was wrong with their kid

in the show they mentioned their allergies acting up at the same time, but when they were babies they would always get sick at the exact same time. not even one waking up sick and getting the other sick, they would BOTH wake up sick

both of them were formula babies

baby mabel nearly gave baby dipper a concussion because she threw a unicorn plushie at him and almost knocked him out of their crib

toddler mabel would throw a tantrum whenever she had to get a haircut, hence the hair she has now

contrarily toddler dipper was fine with getting haircuts unless they tried to touch his bangs, because then his birthmark would show

so there was an earthquake in egypt two days ago and the most terrifying moment of it wasn't even the shaking, it was the few seconds before.

so i have an android phone and tablet, and i put my phone to charge next to me before going to bed at 2 30 AM (I was on vacation with my cousins) I was having trouble sleeping when suddenly my phone starts ringing. at this point im between asleep and awake, and my phone is ringing really fucking loud, and i was scared as shit cause i know damn well my phone doesn't make that sound. and then as soon as it was off my tablet started ringing, which was even more terrifying because my tablet makes NO sound, it's constantly on silent. so i get on my knees (kinky) to shut it off as my heart is literally dropping to my ass, and the nanosecond i see the notification the shaking begins.

mind you my entire thought process just looked like this:

"the fuck is wrong with my phone? is it hacked? shut the fuck up, you're going to wake everyone in the room. the fuck? you're making the same sound? you're on silent tho? what fucking earthquake- oh shit. oh shit. oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit."

the shaking wasn't all that scary like i've been on boats before but the few moments before wondering what the fuck was wrong with my electronics (i didn't see the warning on my phone before i shut it off) was TERRIFYING

i just needed to share this where it would be seen because the scariest moment for me wasn't the earthquake it was wondering what the fuck was up with my phone

this came to me in a dream

so i'm imagining mabel and dipper going to their grandpa's (shermie) house after summer ends. he's all excited because he's happy to see his grandkids after three months, and he's not expecting much about their summer because they spent it in a sleepy town with his estranged brother. he's just expecting their usual thirteen-year-oldness.

instead these children pull up with too much confusion and start bombarding him with questions about their grunkles, each one focused on their own twin counterpart.

"did grunkle ford actually have a good project, or did it just seem that way to stan?" "did grunkle stan believe in unicorns as a kid?" "why didn't grunkle ford try for a more prestigious college instead of going to the mid one?" "was grunkle stan always good at lying?"

and so on. once the kids leave, shermie calls stan's landline to be answered by a young man who calls him dude and starts going on and on about how amazing stan pines is the minute he brings up his name. so instead he calls the twins' parents and asks why they're so interested in their grunkles all of a sudden, and all they can say is "hell if i know with these kids"
