okay but let’s talk about how scary, poisonous, snake-like Ronan Lynch dreamt a raven and named her Chainsaw, but he could have made her fierce and dangerous and scary but instead he made her soft and small and curious and most of all made her unconditionally love him. made her loyal and protective and sweet. and he loves her so much. let’s talk about how Ronan Lynch could have loved Kavinsky, with all his danger and excitement and anger, but instead he falls in love with this beautiful, tender, fragile boy with freckles and nice hands and is so loving and protective. let’s talk about all the things and people Ronan loves, and how he doesn’t want scary or fierce or angry, but soft and gentle and sweet. let’s just always talk about Ronan Lynch

Adam coming home from work really tired and seeing ronan already asleep on his mattress in just a pair of soft grey sweat pants. He looks so warm and peaceful. Adam just strips out of his work overalls and collapses face down onto ronan’s chest, the side of his face pressed into ronan’s collar bone, hands under his shoulders like a pillow, and legs between ronan’s own. Ronan shifts slightly so his arm, which was previously resting above his head, moves to wrap around adam’s lower back holding him tighter and man i’m just so here for ronan being a human-sized pillow for adam

you know i’m so over this entitlement people have over author’s books and the overall treatment of authors.

do you know how long it takes to 1. plan out a book 2. write it 3. edit it dozens of times? do you know how much time is spent on that, and how little they get paid for it? 

there’s hundreds of thousands of books out there, and it’s guaranteed at least half of them will not end the way you want them to. it’s guaranteed your ship will be dropped for a different ship. it’s guaranteed that you’re going to get mad while reading a book for whatever reason. that doesn’t give you a right to treat an author like they aren’t a human being (while defending a character that isn’t even real, and typically a white male with privilege).

the worst part is i’m sure that almost all of you don’t even pay the author for reading the book they spent so much time on. i can promise you that you have no right stealing a book and then harassing the author and accusing them of so many different things such as supporting rape/abuse because something fictional didn’t go the fictional way you wanted. 

you have every right to criticize and critique an author’s book (if you paid for it or legally got the rights to read it…lol). but sending hate to an author because of their creative choices is garbage and tumblr/twitter is garbage for supporting this kind of ideology. it’s childish, it’s hateful, it’s abusive. 

grow up and think about the kind of people you hurt over this. authors deserve way better than these kinds of fans.
