I met some large raccoons tonight. I pressed the crosswalk button, and their studio ghibli asses waited for cars to stop and then crossed the street between the lines like responsible pedestrians. One was missing her tail and limping; from what I could tell, it was an old injury and she's quite elderly (greying!) for a wild animal. Her companion seemed to be looking out for her. Both of them are obviously eating well and understand traffic ettiquette, I think they're doing fine. Probably have tried more varieties of pizza than the average human being.
