Life Update

Hi All, i havent seen u all in a long time but i think is only fair to give an update of my life while i`m here on this cold sunday night

I have been interning at a investment bank since december and it has been very much eye opening. I like my work very much and i was so shocked to realize that i choose an actual good company that breaks part of the "work till you die" of the finance market. Dont get me work, i definitely work more than am supposed to but i dont mind too much

My big new tho, I GOT INTO MY N1 EXCHANGE PROGRAM!!! You're looking at the gal who is going to france for the next 2 years to study engineering at a fucking-mazing uni and at the end get a brazilian and a europpean diploma hihihihihihih

Furthermore, I'm one step closer to working in the sport that i love so much, which is F1, man those logistics and large scale events is mouth watering for me

Long Time No See

 Wow, I haven’t done a post in this blog for so long, I’m so sorry about that! My last post was September? August? Oh well, a long while ago.

For those that followed my posts saw how much I complained about the semester that I started on August. I mean, they shortened a 18 week course to 12 weeks, so it was a given that it was going to be content heavy. I just didn’t predict how much off-class work that would give me, I barely had any free time left, especially for my side projects such as this blog.

Today I’m starting my new semester (and yes, I only had 2 weeks off, uni calendar is a mess), and with less subjects this time, I plan to return to blogging. Another good thing is that most of my subjects are specific of my course - Industrial Engineering - so, although more dedication is needed, they are a load more interesting than Calculus and Physics. Most of the classes are research and writing based, so look foward to some neat (if I have patience) and long notes. Furthermore, I joined a consulting club and I’ve been writing a whole lot of articles and reviews (in Portuguese most of the time), so expect a lot of research pics and long nights.

I think this cover most of my last few months. How have you all been doing?

Did I say I was getting the hang of online classes? Well that was a lie 🤭 My sleep schedule was (and still is) so messed up I would just randomly wake up at 5:30am even when I was studying up until 2 am.

Uni messing students’ sleep schedules? Shocker I know!

Yesterday was my birthday tho and I got this gorgeous bouquet that is now on my desk (#thanksmom&dad) with such a pretty sunflower 🌻!! Officially I’m no teenager anymore 🤧 but I don’t think that has fully hit me yet! oh well, that’s life i guess…

✺ Day 11 of Back to Uni ✺

I feel like my desk is never clear of stuff? I have 3 different notebooks just to take quick notes during online classes and re-write everything in neater notes but that turns my desk in a complete mess. But I, mayhaps be getting the hang of this online class stuff?!

P.S. The word in the lightbox is not humb but thumb. I tried to write one of my favourite Shakespeare scenes, the thumb biting beginning of Romeo and Juliet (litterally)

I’m glad my friends forced me to go to the beach. I was really concerned because you know global pandemic but the security was really tight and everyone was following the social distancing rules.

3rd September - How have you prepared to return to school/university?

We had this two week tutoring program which went over everything we will be seeing this year and got the students connected with upperclassmen!! Other than that personally, I moved to an another country on my own, got my first apartment, and did some very adult things like opening my own bank account.

i'm finally back! i had a crazy few days while moving to my new place and starting to attend online lectures,,, it's been two days since they started and i already have so much work... 📖 my new wall is also pretty empty right now but i'm planning on changing that v soon! 🌧

✺ Day 9 of Back to Uni ✺

University has been kicking my ass so much that my to-do list is neverending! The study strategy that I had for the previous semester is obsolete in the face of exams every week (normally I would have 2 exams/subject/semester) but I’m trying my best!

Setting up my September spread always put me in a good mood and after 5 months I renkindled my romance with mocha frappucinos!

Tutoring is so much better after cramming through the subjects and understanding the base subjects. I’m actually getting help from an upperclassman who is a foreign student who managed to pass the first year!! Here are also some recent stationary favorites.
