Finally accepting that the votes really don't do or mean anything anymore because all Harlan has to do is mention which answer he wants to win and everyone will select that. Just take the votes out already and write whatever you wanted to write in the first place if there really is a right or wrong answer. I thought it was a really cool mechanic at first but it's clearly not working 98% of the time. And it's pointless if you have to TELL your audience how to vote.

every interpretation of sniffer ive seen has been so literal in him being directly from hoods past, which kinda surprises me given the fact so much of what we see of him is in the other faces he has, and how he uses the skins to facilitate more violence. just. got me thinking about the possibility of him being a manifestation of hood not remembering who he was exactly (which can be VERY dark depending on how you choose to go at that), or him being a combination of multiple people from her life

One thing i see often when characterizing the orphans is Girl's meeker and Hood's agressive but honestly...i think it's the opposite!

Girl is always ready to fight and defend herself, her first instinct when waking up confused and shaken is to Iunge at her brother's throat, and in the barn she raises her knife at the first sign of danger

Meanwhile Hood seems much more jaded, just going along with whatever's happening, she'II either run and hide or simpIy accept her fate

She haIf-heartedIy urges her friends to Ieave her behind, foIIows Sniffer, sits around whiIe the SibIings venture

Maybe the reason SHE carried the bIade was simpIy

Me and @wilnotwill were talking abt this but I personally think we dont talk about how Arthur killed Uncle enough bc it was such a significant slip in his humanity. Like you could maybe argue that with Faust it was partly starvation or desperation or that he knew Faust was probably going to kill him first through John's vision so it was a kill or get killed situation even if Arthur did find a particular pleasure in the act. But what about with Uncle? When Arthur attacked Uncle, he threw a chair at him in self defense and ran, leaving Arthur to FOLLOW HIS TRAIL OF BLOOD AND THEN KILL HIM. Uncle didn't seem to be looking for trouble, yet Arthur targeted him not out of survival or even fear, but like John said: he was hunting. It was his choice. It was out of cruelty and a reflection of the worst parts of himself. The only thing that changed the situation was that he managed to snap out of it, but it was too late by then. Not to say that Uncle was totally innocent or anything but it was the first time that Arthur went out of his way to cause harm against someone who probably didn't pose much of threat to him otherwise, because he was so absolutely lost in grief and rage that nothing else mattered. Which I think is definitely more interesting to me than the Faust situation.
