That fic you wrote?
The one about the ship no one else cares about, or the deeply unpopular character, or the extremely unusual AU?
The fic that got no comments or kudos when you posted it?
Months or years from now, that fic might be exactly what someone is looking for in the sea of fics about all the popular characters, ships, and AUs.
Your fic might be the only fic out there that has what someone is looking for. The only fic that scratches the itch that it turns out you and that reader share.
And that's awesome.
Obey Me - Chapter 17
A Sub Sukuna x Dom Megumi fic - 30k words
There's a wedding (Choso's), a reception, alcohol, a dance, and some smut before they have a chat. (And Yuuji doesn't know who he wants to murder first)

I hope every writer who sees this writes LOADS the next few months. Like freetime opens up, no writers block, the ability to focus, etc etc you're able to write loads & make lots of progress <3
THIS
I did not come on tumblr to be called out like this....but also true....
Reblog if youāre over 20 and still read/writeĀ fan fiction.
Iām curious!
Your gender is now the first randomized wikipedia article you get. No rerolls.
What is your gender now/what did you get?
A person (real or fictional)
An animal
A plant/fungus/otherwise alive non-animal
A non-living natural thing (e.g. a rock) or a natural phenomenon (e.g. tornado)
A place
A period of time or a specific event
A concept
A man-made object
A work of art or a piece of media
A field of study or a specific research
Something else? Put in tags
Sometimes fanfiction is a love letter to canon, and sometimes fanfiction is pounding on canon's door and yelling for it to get out here so you can kick its ass.
Hi, I'm the OP, and I want you to know that this is the reblog that made me laugh the most.
Slowly getting the hang of procreate with a little GoFushi
AO3 Comments are SO SO SOOOOOOO important because you can only leave Kudos ONCE. You add to the hit count ONCE (every 24 hours).
So whenever someone updates their fic, the ONLY way an author knows who their regular readers are is if they comment on each chapter. And we WANT to know who's still reading.
Believe it or not, some of us think about the name that pops up constantly in the comments and go "omg I can't wait to see what they think of THIS SPECIFIC SCENE cuz I KNOW they'll say something about it!!!"
Find your REAL Angel name

Hey friends. Do this:
This probably took this person 3 seconds to do but it immediately told me that they liked my story enough to come back and read it again and they liked it again the second time.
Your favorite writers Do Not Know that you think about their stories after you read them. I generally assume that my stories make people happy for the few minutes theyāre reading and then they never think about it again. To know that thatās not the case and that someone has returned just makes my little heart swell with joy.
I needed this today. If youāre the person who left this comment (or if youāve ever commented on any of my writing) I love you.
Well this is the most popular post Iāve ever done by an order of magnitudeā¦
The best part has been the people putting tags on their reblogs along the lines of āIām totally going to do this nowā and āI didnāt think authors would like something this simple but I can do thisā and authors saying how much this type of comment also means to them.
The second best part was the person who went and read Worship because of this post and then commented on it.
An interesting part has been seeing what a kind of popular post does to your notifications.
Iām really glad this post took off, especially if it means a few more authors get this kind of comment.
honestly? if you want more works in your rare pair tag, talk to the multishippers
we're already into shipping characters with anyone we find interesting for them
we have a lot of practice at looking at two characters and saying, "hmmm that could work"
we're generally pretty open-minded when it comes to shipping anyone with anyone else (although even multishippers can still have NoTPs)
so squee your little heart out about why you love your rare ship that no one knows about, and nudge your local multishipper to see what they think
i get so embarrassed when one of my favās likes my deranged posts like bestie i forgot you followed me back plz look away, shield your beautiful eyes from my filth šš
a remake of "you've got mail" called "you've got kudos" about two fic writers who make flirty comments on each other's fics, only to realize that they already know each other because they used to be on opposite sides of a fandom war when they were teenagers under different usernames
