"Gym Leader. I find it curious that you continue to utilize Onix as a member of your battling roster. Even beyond its lack of power in battle, I recently discovered that trainers online are describing it as "Weaksauce"."

Gym Leader. There it is again. Roark's brows knit together, visibly irritated by the refusal to use his name. He's convinced now that Cyrus goes out of his way to refer to him by the official title rather than anything else, and if he were feeling any less patient that day, well— the gym leader holds his breath.
❝ Onix isn't “weaksauce.” ❞ Fingers gesture with air quotes at the term. Is that even a real word? Doesn't matter. He can already hear his dad's mocking bark of a laugh if his son were to repeat the same thing in his presence. ❝ It's a working pokemon with incredible strength. It serves other purposes outside of battling. ❞
Well known for its efficient tunneling capabilities, Onix are a must have on-site at the Oreburgh mine.
❝ But while Onix is strong, it's also gentle and nonaggressive. Attributes you consider weak in battle make it an effective trainer to new trainers. There's really no reason to throw a full-grown Tyranitar at some kid who just picked up their Turtwig from the professor. ❞
