I am attempting to write a lengthy Harry Potter fanfiction set in the Marauders timeline.

I already have a rough outline of how I want the story to go. The romance might just be sprinkled in.

Summary for the story:

Honestly, there wasn’t much hope for normalcy to begin with for the upcoming school term. Not with the four Marauders returning. With dark forces on the rise and the Ministry allowing a select few beasts to attend Hogwarts as an experiment, the hope for anything normal is thrown out the window for the students and faculty alike.

Follow James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin as they try to make sense of it all.

In all seriousness, my boyfriend and I may get kicked out of our place.

Roommates are fed up with us only giving $300 for rent and not contribute to household bills. So we have $1000 to pay before March 9th.

The reason I say this is because I am opening art commissions again. I’ve done this is in the past and never received interest but hey maybe it will work now. I’ll even do writing commissions.

A Bit of an Escape

It was the wee hours of night, most of Snowdin’s residents already in bed or making their way to the warmth of their homes. All but Valrek. He could have stayed home with his fireplace but he was looking for a different warmth. The warm burn of a belly with alcohol and good food. He wasn’t willing to open up his stores.

It wasn’t that bad of a day.

The bell dinged as the door to the bar open and the dragonoid monster walked in, snow already melting from his cloak.

𝓖𝓻𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓫𝔂 ━━ At this time, Grillby didn’t usually expect many to come in. Especially given how heavy the snow was tonight. He already had began the process of closing up, a mop in his hand.

But he looks over pon’ hearing someone enter.

Grillby lightly just waves, but it wasn’t too present. Instead he just went behind the bar yet again, watching them approach. He tilts his head as he notices something familiar, but didn’t comment on it.

He just nods as a greeting.

He nods in return, regarding the elemental with respect. Now, why was a fire elemental in Snowdin? It was not Valrek’s place to pry. Now if it was Waterfall...

“Good evenin.” His voice throaty with gravelly undertones. Valrek sat at the bar, the stool creaking under his weight.

“Just give me your strongest drink...and whatever you recommend in the way of food.”..... “Please.”

Name: Valrek “Val”

Species: Dragonoid Monster

Looks (Dependent on Universe)

Undertale: White Scales and sky blue eyes. Bulky with muscle hidden under his ‘chub’

Underswap: Silvery scales and grey eyes. Leaner than his counterparts.

Underfell: Red scales and yellow/gold eyes. Bulky with more defined muscles.

All: Have curved ram horns though Fell’s are cracked and chipped in some places. They are all a few inches taller than Papyrus, not including horns. Though they are dragons Valrek doesn’t have traditional wings. His wings are manifested through magic.

I’m a sucker for guys in plaid. To keep warm in places like Snowdin (or dry in Waterfall) They like to wear their capes/cloaks from the military. They are slung over one shoulder and fastened with a Deltrarune clasp on the other.

Dragons are very unique species of monster. They can live very long lives so they usually horde knowledge. They will pass this knowledge through performing arts such as music, storytelling, etc.

Having been a General during the war(Swap!Val was a Scout), Valrek is a very selfless person that cares for the safety of others. This can lead him to be compulsive if there is no time to think of a plan of action. Fighting in the war has left him scarred and not only physically. He will sometimes have days where he’s confused and doesn’t know where or when he is. Valrek hasn’t hurt anyone during these episodes but he’s come damn close to. And that scares him.

When he’s in this state it’s best to make physical contact and speak to him. Make sure he focuses on the touch and words so he can be grounded. If he’s hostile then literally ground him. Once restrained begin the above steps.

Despite these slip-ups, Val is compassionate, witty, and a bit headstrong when it comes to things he believes in. He’s not above reason. Just needs to be good valid reasons.

His kryptonite is...shiny things...legit. He won’t steal shiny stuff but boy if he’s given something as a gift he will treasure it. Different versions will be more or less vocal about the interest.

Just don’t make the dragon mad. He can go from calm to having a fire in his eyes quickly.

Dislikes: fish (mostly the smell), high pitched noises etc

Likes: A good romcom, though Fell wouldn’t admit it right away. A good hearty meal. Feed him and he will stick around. Music.

Fear: Losing himself and hurting someone in the process

Mun tries her best at a Void screech to not be embarrased but it ends up more like pitiful Voidling garbles. Looks like embarrassment was una-Void-able after all.

Playing through the game so I can True Reset for my friend. This is Papyrus telling Sans he feels like he knows the human.

Sans chuckled. It was fitting that someone would think he doesn’t fit the type of a sentry. He really didn’t, considering how not fit for the job he was. Well, he could be fit for the job if he ever tried, but was much more fit for another job, one he kept a secret from most monsters. “heh. i get that a lot, dont do uniforms. feel stuffy.”

“long as ya got the stomach for my ulna-believable puns, i think we’ll get along great.” He ended a chuckling coming from him.

All he could do was shake his head and keep a smile on his face. “I’ll try my best.” Valrek followed and listened as his guide pointed out things of interest. Which, wasn’t much actually but it was fine. Aside from the occasional pun from the two, the walk was fairly quiet.

“So,” he cleared his throat. “What can you tell me about yourself?” He didn’t want to seem too nosey and it would be hypocritical if he just asked all the questions. “We can both share if you’d like.”

Honestly there wasn’t too much for Sans to point out of interest in the forest itself surrounding Snowdin. The Town hadn’t moved too much away from where it was first set up. It had always been a pretty small town. The most he had pointed out was a few Papyrus’s puzzles

“hm.” He thought for a second. “guess i can tell ya a few things.” He shrugged. “well, im one of the only two skeletons down here, far as i can tell, other ones my bro. he’s a royal guard in training, trains with the captain of the guard.” He thought for a moment. “you uh know, anything, about recent stuff down here?”

Hmm this Papyrus was pretty good at puzzles. He knew his culture well. And if he wanted to be a Royal Guard, maybe he could watch his training. Give him tips.

What did he remember… “I remember…” He had to think. “I don’t travel far but…I remember a child? A human child I think.” Valrek chuckled. “I must sound crazy. It just feels like deja vu.” Just a crazy old dragon. “Just the whole collecting of human souls bit.”

Sans knew his brother was a pro at puzzles. Papyrus had done most of them out of his own design, Sans didn’t help too much honestly, though Papyrus didn’t mind too much, he had his fun making puzzles.

“a human kid?” Sans thought for a moment. That was…pretty vague really. There was at least…five? Five he thinks, kids that fell down and were down here, not count the first one at least and ignoring the eighth one, considering they hadn’t fallen yet. “heh, well we’ve had a few of those now. got uh…what, six SOULs now. so, that’s pretty good news and all.”

“SIX Souls…” How could…what?! The last he remembered there had been two souls. So how long had he really been gone? He didn’t even notice that he had stopped and sat in the snow, lost in his thought.

Besides little Chara, the first human soul had been collected within forty years of their death. The second had appeared much later. So…

“How long has the war been over??”

He did find the others surprise a little amusing, honestly but he should have expected something like this, now that he considered it. He stopped as the other sat in confusion thinking about what he had just said.

Sans shrugged at the question. “A while? cant remember exactly how long, but a while, most people who fought in the war aren’t around any more, least i can remember right. gersons still around and, asgore of course, otherwise im not sure bout anyone else.”
