my anxiety has a loophole that if somebody is else is equally or more uncomfortable I develop the sudden ability to Do The Thing
i cant go and ask for more ketchup for myself but if my friend wants more ketchup im out of my seat in a second
just so we’re clear if I make a confused sound during class I expect you to respond with an equally confused sound so I don’t feel alone and miserable
Swatting away a fly and accidentally hitting it
me at first: I AM A PARANORMAL BEING WITH SUPERNATURAL SPEED ALL BOW DOWN TO THE ONE AND ONLY
me, seconds later: oh my god I feel terrible how could I hurt an animal I'm such a disappointment I hope that fly is okay

It’s nice that you’re letting us know that this is a signed copy via sticker. Really, I appreciate it, because I will 100% buy that book and I will be happy about it.
but.
after that book has safely arrived in my shelf, I don’t need the reminder anymore. When I look at that book, I will know it’s a signed copy. Trust me, I will always know. You could hand that book to me as a 90 year old grandma who can’t even really see but if I vaguely recognize the cover I’ll tell you OPEN IT IT’S A SIGNED COPY. If there was a fire and I had the time to grab books, it would be this one. It is now a family member.
i don’t need the sticker anymore. Please let me peel it off without that ugly disgrace of a glue-and-like-half-of-the-sticker-in-crumbs mess
sincerely, someone who is interested in the aesthetic of her books - particularly the signed copies.
my only motivation these days
that one minute and a half of the movie where the main character gets their shit together, works hard as hell and aces everything am I right
and the deep frustration when you go back to rewatch that moment for inspiration, and without the character going through all that misery beforehand it just doesn’t do it
when all you want is for your favorite character to be happy but all they get to be is dead
or worse

Okay but in the new star wars there’s that super serious Rey scene when she goes to the basement but I can never focus on her because of BB-8 in the background very carefully going down one stair at a time like BB-8 ur round please don’t do stairs at dramatic moments
i spent that whole scene wondering how bb8 was going to get back UP the stairs because the child is Round
this is my favourite part of star wars because this is exactly how i react any time someone asks me about something i don’t want to deal with

Alan Rickman is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors I will ever work with. He is also, one of the loyalest and most supportive people I’ve ever met in the film industry. He was so encouraging of me both on set and in the years post-Potter. I’m pretty sure he came and saw everything I ever did on stage both in London and New York. He didn’t have to do that. I know other people who’ve been friends with him for much much longer than I have and they all say “if you call Alan, it doesn’t matter where in the world he is or how busy he is with what he’s doing, he’ll get back to you within a day”. People create perceptions of actors based on the parts they played so it might surprise some people to learn that contrary to some of the sterner(or downright scary) characters he played, Alan was extremely kind, generous, self-deprecating and funny. And certain things obviously became even funnier when delivered in his unmistakable double-bass. As an actor he was one of the first of the adults on Potter to treat me like a peer rather than a child. Working with him at such a formative age was incredibly important and I will carry the lessons he taught me for the rest of my life and career. Film sets and theatre stages are all far poorer for the loss of this great actor and man.
