Pleyita’s BROW 4-PACK

Hi folks! Just dropping by to dump these eyebrows on you. One of my favourite parts of painting portraits is painting the eyebrows, and I was like ‘why haven’t I made some for TS3 yet?’

Here’s the scoop:

Hand-sketched textures I doodled in paint tool SAI. Super fiiiiine detail!

Shapes based on and match EA brows that I like. Three of them from the EA female brow shapes (a plucked thin one, a slightly fuller and shaped one, and a full non-shaped one) and one EA male brow shape (a big bushy eyebrow).

Separate package files in the folder, with previews so you can pick and choose as you like.

Expect more of these! They’re fun to make and are imo a big improvement on the EA defaults.

Tired of being mentally ill and rendered as a joke by the most prominent life simulator in the industry? Sick of having your non-binary Sims constrained by the he/she system through necessity?

Well, it is necessity no more, as the No Ableism and Gender Neutral mods are here to play!

No Ableism:

Converts the I****e trait to Unconventional - puts more emphasis on the Sim choosing to do the things the trait makes them do rather than it being outside of their control

Converts the Unstable trait from ITF to Panicky - converts the so-called ‘Delusional’ episodes to panic attacks and hyperventilation (including calling out EA for wants to do these in a very angry fashion)

Converts the Neurotic trait to Compulsive - takes the focus away from conspiracy detection and towards the intrusive thoughts side of things

Converts the Kleptomaniac trait to Petty Thief - it’s not a ‘mania’ if the urges can be readily controlled by the player and the Sim alike, EA

Converts the Pyromaniac hidden trait to Arsonist for the same reason

Removes all other instances of ableist language, big and small, from the game - from a particularly severe case in Ambitions to discussing fashion ‘trends’ instead of ‘cr*zes’ to a quote-unquote ‘joke’ in the jokeplease cheat

Generates free kittens in your bedroom every morning

Gender Neutral does something comparatively simple but not at the same time: it removes the vast majority gendered pronouns and gendered language from the game, regardless of who or what they are actually attached to. Every Sim that is capable of being playable will now display they/them/their/themselves pronouns in the game - you are free to interpret their actual gender identities however you want when you make Simblr posts, and the screenshots won’t contradict what you say because they pronouns are also grammatically correct for all targets!

There is also a Gender Neutral Plus No Ableism mod that combines the effects of the above-listed two.

Notes:

sevenleafsimblr and tosimornottosim have proven instrumental in helping me to bounce ideas off of them; Clover in particular deserves commendation for beta-testing the mod to prove that it works regardless of how many EPs you have installed. So thanks, you two.

By the way, it works regardless of how many EPs you have installed.

Unfortunately, unlike with my now deleted Sims 4 attempt at this mod, I have no way to edit the STBL files for stuff packs or store content, legal or otherwise, because I have a feeling they have separate STBL files on a download by download basis. So if you have store content and any bad words slip through the cracks, blame me and the system equally.

Also unlike the old Sims 4 variants, I haven’t differentiated between the big and small stuff this time around, nor have I touched Gloomy / Grumpy. I hope the latter doesn’t bother you.

There’s mild periods of NSFW language in the Gender Neutral mods used in a medical context… basically doctors determine the ‘genitals’ of a baby instead of their ‘gender’. I also swear at EA once or twice in all variations.

When it comes to what I use, to be honest I’m still probably never going to voluntarily give the Sims I make Unconventional or Panicky, or accept people who give me Sims with these traits for BCs and stuff, because I know the history behind them too well for it to sit right with me if I do. But if they are randomly generated for children or spouses in the context of my legacies’ story progression, at least I have an out now that doesn’t involve me cheating to mess with what they were given. So there’s that.

People who come across this who don’t see the point of either of the mods: you don’t have to use them. Your gameplay is not ruined by the mere presence of these things that you are not required to download. I’m not contractually obligating you to try them out. So please don’t yell or get angry at me or throw ableist slurs at me or make trigger jokes at me in an effort to shame me for making a mod that, as long as you don’t download it, won’t affect your gameplay in any way. To quote Jim Sterling: “You get to play any game you want, in a way that makes you happy. Why the fuck aim to deprive others of the same?”

As I have said before, this is only a bandaid for the shitty language and concepts in this game, but what I hope to be a quite indepth bandaid just the same. If you come across anything I’ve missed that I should have changed, even if it’s a grammar error on my part, please please please let me know and I’ll issue a patch. I think I got as much as I could, but subtle things can slip through the cracks sometimes.

Terms: You don’t have to tag me if you use it - it would be nice, but that’s not obligatory either. Also, please do not reupload and claim as your own, and please don’t undo or revert the specific language changes I made - you can use the mods as a baseline for worldbuilding edits of your own, but use it to work with my stuff, not against it.

MONEY TREE TEXTURE REPLACEMENT

This is the first CC I’m sharing, so I hope I didn’t screw it up, heh… Someone on SimSecret was complaining about the fugly money trees, and it inspired me as I’ve always found them awful as well. This is just a simple recolor to make them more toned down and more like (USian) money. Maybe in the future I will learn how to make these recolorable but I think they look a li’l less wretched now.

The pictures above are unedited other than cropping, I have no HQ mod and the top is tree detail at max, and the bottom is at medium. (I don’t really see a difference, frankly.)

NOTE: Put this in your overrides folder. It replaces the money tree and the little bags of coins.

Check Lying Poses II

Now this time the person on the ground is supposed to be really dead.

In both variations of “3a” the left foot clips with the dead person’s hand. This can be easily fixed with alt-shift; the previews show how they snap together by default (My focus was on ‘3a’ talking about the dead person, and afterwards I couldn’t fix the foot in both variations alike)
