Beefy burps that taste like coke
Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
reblog this if you’ve ever been called fat by a family member
I made a meme
-“mommy, the kids at school are mean to me!”
-“OH, WHAT, ARE U #TRIGGERED???, LIFE ISNT UR #SAFE SPACE LMAO”
Stay away from children for the rest of your lives please
The people who hate this are probably the ones traumatizing their children
this is a show for 3 - 6 year olds what is WRONG with these monsters???
Fun fact, sesame street was created to fill the gap in education for children whose families could not afford to send them to preschool. Sesame street taught basic math and phonics as well as interpersonal skills so that children below the poverty line weren’t starting elementary school behind their more privileged classmates.
Here sesame street is trying to fill a gap where supportive adults should be. Where there should be a teacher or a family member or a counselor to help, for whatever reason, there isn’t, so Sesame Street is stepping in.
This breed of person has always hated Sesame Street. They hated it for showing black and white children playing together. They hated it for giving children of color the head start that rich white families were paying for. They hated it for Bert and Ernie for showing two MEN who LIVED TOGETHER, for the married black nurse who lived on sesame street when it was first released, and for them explaining death. I feel like there was a pregnancy at some point in its early days and they would have REALLY hated that.
These days they don’t (usually) say “I’m not letting my kid watch anything with black kids in it” but they sure throw a tantrum in the youtube comments when Sesame Street DARES to show an autistic girl playing with non-autistic children and being treated like shes anyone else. They lose their shit when Sesame Street has to explain incarceration to 5 year olds. And the muppet in south africa with HIV? Hoo boy.
They hate everything Sesame Street stands for and tries to provide. They always have. We just have to ignore them and keep supporting the show. Or tell them to shut the fuck up and keep supporting the show. Either way Sesame Street will outlive them.
This is what I been saying y’all for real
Important Reminder:
Witches who began their practice YESTERDAY are still valid witches Witches who began their practice 5 MINUTES AGO are still valid witches Witches who had to TEACH THEMSELVES are still valid witches Witches who had someone TEACH THEM are still valid witches Witches who have been practicing in secret for YEARS are still valid witches
Witches who didn’t realize that they’d been doing magic ALL THEIR LIFE are still valid witches
Witches who were initiated into a COVEN are still valid witches
Witches who work ALONE are still valid witches
You are a Witch the instant you decide you want to claim that Title, and no one can take that from you. So don’t let them take that from you
This is worse. Looking at these you can tell they have no significant monetary value. They were confiscated as a fear tactic. Nothing more.
This picture breaks my heart everytime it appears in my dash. It’s a fear tactic, alright but—
The first one in the left corner: It’s a first communion rosary, and it’s not cheap.
The black one in the first line: That’s a widow rosary and it’s old.
The white one in the second line: is a commemoration rosary. It has a miniature picture in the round part. I haven’t seen that since the 70′s.
In the third line, multicolor one: It’s an Anima mundi, I have only seen those in the hands of Rosary ministery’s old ladies. The oldest ones are from the 80′s after Juan Pablo II came to Mexico for the first time. It’s one of the old ones, I know because the crucifixes are different. The third one on the fourth line: Red and gold. The style is old, the metal is dark, that’s a 50′s rosary, probably a quinceañera one (or it’s maybe older, from the 40′s when the brides carried red roses with their offerings).
The fifth one on the fourth line: It’s a quinceañera rosary with Ignatius’s tear. The style is old and in my part of Mexico is orphan girls who used it. At least it was when I was young. The third one of the fifth line: the blue one with the anchor. That one I have only seen in Veracruz and it doesn’t look new. The fifth one on the fifth line: That’s a 90′s wedding rosary. Black and white patterns were popular on that date. The fourth one on the last line: That’s a first communion rosary from the 30′s. It’s delicate and most probably silver. The rest wrench my heart too, the humble everyday rosaries with wooden beads and knots. Those are cheap and bear the wear and tear of their user handling. But those I described are much more.
Those are mother’s rosaries.
Those are not just rosaries. Those are mementos, that’s the proof of their families stories. They are taking from them the only portable things they can carry to feel the connection to their families. It’s not a fear tactic. Call it like by its name. It’s dehumanization.
PETA
you guys remember when PETA stole people pets off their porches and euthanized them?
you guys remember how it came out that PETA kills about 90% of the animals it takes in, including healthy and adoptable puppies and kittens, stating “ We could become a no-kill shelter immediately. It means we wouldn’t do as much work”?
you guys remember when PETA advocated killing all pit bulls for the crime of being pit bulls?
you guys remember when PETA handed out these comics to children when there were no adults looking?
you guys remember when they made a porn site and then filled it with videos of animal abuse, and (also in that link) claimed cats should be vegetarian?
you guys remember when PETA lied about sheep shearing, got caught, and defended the lie as true even after they admitted the sheep in their picture wasn’t even real?
you guys remember when they tried to excuse their horrifying ways by claiming that the person who exposed them was manipulating the facts by taking them and putting them in the wrong context?
Because I remember. I remember everything.
And I’m gonna make sure everyone else remembers too.
Why would they kill pit bulls they’re sweeties
Because PETA does not care about animals. they do not care that these dogs live and breathe and feel and want love like every other dog. they do not care about the history of human/dog bonding and co-evolution, they do not care that dogs and human beings have relied on each other for millennia, they do not care that its cruel and morally repugnant to put down an animal just because you can, they do not care about animals.
PETA cares about money and publicity, its a corporation run by a psychopath who is afraid of pitts as it states in the link: she was apparently bit by one, and now she hates them.
PETA doesn’t give a rats ass about animals. They just want to kill and make money off of idiots who fall of their spiel.
Some celebs support them
ah c’mon, dear-tumb1r, I think you’re being a bit harsh. I mean, okay, PETA’s done some questionable things, but it’s not like they’ve also
-spread false information about milk causing autism based on outdated bullshit information
-used holocaust imagery to compare the meat industry to concentration camps (no pictures)
-used a young man’s brutal death as a way to say “yeah that’s awful but it happens to animals every day and nobody cares about that” (tw: no pictures but the way the guy died is described and it is really horrible)
-dressed up in KKK robes and protested outside of the Westminister Dog Show to protest breeding/pure bred dogs (tw: racism)
-offered to pay the water bill for literally the poorest neighborhood in Detroit if and only if they all went vegan for a month (tw: self-righteous shitheads)
-and they definitely didn’t have two of their workers accept perfectly healthy animals from an animal hospital, with the implication that they would give them good homes, clarify that these animals were all healthy and well-tempered, and then euthanized them all in the back of a kill-van before dumping their dead bodies behind a grocery store (tw: PICTURES OF DEAD ANIMALS, animal death)
-and they totally didn’t get off pretty much scot-free for it because PETA has loads of money and lawyers to defend themselves, which coincidentally might be why the Cerate family hasn’t seen justice for their kidnapped and murdered dog, Maya. (tw: animal death)
Nah. PETA’s not that bad.
(/the heaviest of all my fucking sarcasm, I am salty as a fucking winter road, lord do I fucking hate PETA)
Did you think i was fucking joking, PETA?
I will make sure everyone fucking remembers what you’ve done.
Bringing it back, because it’s charity season and people need to know NOT to give charity to these fuckers.
Trope that can die:
Grown men telling their small sons to “take care of things now” like their grown, capable mother isn’t standing right there, listening.
A terrible, sick sound comes from Jeremiah’s lungs, making Cynthia’s heart plunge down into her stomach. Blood–there was blood in his lungs.
“I–I need clover,” she says, snatching her skirts around her when she stands. “Daniel, stay with your father. I’ll be right back.” The little boy (and her heart hurts, he’s only eight, two years younger than when she lost her father) sniffles and slips his small hand into his father’s, large eyes wet with tears.
Their house isn’t large. The kitchen is right off of the bedroom, rough counters scattered with bloody bandages and healing tonics that don’t work. She’s not supposed to know what she does, had thought to never use her skills again, but this is her husband. Her son’s father. Needs must.
She gathers her ingredients and tools with shaking hands. Clover and rosemary, mugwort and daffodil, basil and mint. Mortar and pestle, the holy water the priest left them when Jeremiah first fell, the beads he gave them yesterday when Jeremiah started to have difficulty waking up.
They tell her what she’s about to do is a sin. They being Jeremiah’s mother, the priest, the villagers. But she can feel her God in her heart when she reenters the room, lays her things on the floor. Daniel is still at his father’s side and Jeremiah’s eyes are closed again. God is in her heart and she knows this is right.
She wipes her tears with the back of her hand and sets to work. After a moment’s thought, she collects the moisture with the rosemary. It’ll make it all the more potent.
“D-daniel,” Jeremiah wheezes from the bed some time later. Cynthia pauses in the last stages, arms aching from grinding everything into a paste. She looks to the bed where Jeremiah weakly turns his hand over to better grab their son’s. “Daniel, I need–I need to tell you…”
“Dad?” Daniel says, voice high and scared. “What?”
“Take…care of your mother,” Jeremiah says. His eyes flutter. “Y-you’re the man of the house now You–you’ve got to take care of things. For me.”
It’s a good thing that she’s finished with the paste now, because whipping up a healing with incredulous fury in her heart wouldn’t be possible.
“I–I,” Daniel stutters and looks to her with his big eyes. There’s so much fear there and she knows (knows) the weight that is descending on his shoulders. Everything is not alright now and it won’t be for a long, long time. She knows from experience that that’s how grief works, you can’t just “take care of things”, not when you’re eight or ten or ever.
She is furious that her husband would dare try and put that on their son.
“I will take care of things, Jeremiah,” she says and rises from the ground like she is born from it (she is). The mortar is clutched to her breast, a desperate act manifested, but the fear is fading now. “As your wife, as his mother, I take care of things.”
Daniel, pushed to the side by her, holds onto the back of her skirt. She can feel him trembling as he peers around her at his father.
“Don’t listen mind your father, Daniel,” she tells her son, working the paste in her hands, imbuing it with heat and power. “He’s not in his right mind. Why don’t you go outside and see if there are any ripe tomatoes? Thank you.”
“’kay,” Daniel says and practically runs from the room.
“N-need a man of the house,” Jeremiah says, eyes bright with fever. “Cynthia…”
She slams the mortar on the bedside table. With her bare fingers, she drops a ball of the paste into his water. The rest, she gathers in her hands, eyes sparking. “You had better hope that’s the pain talking, Jeremiah, because if you think for one second that I am not capable of taking care of myself and my son without you, then you may find yourself no longer a man and no longer capable of residing in this house, much less presuming yourself to be the man of the house.”
She slaps the paste to Jeremiah’s bare chest with more force than is necessary, no longer minding the horrible, gurgling sound he makes. He’ll be fine, she’ll make sure of it.
Of course, that’s presuming she doesn’t drown him in the healing water she’s made up. She’s still undecided about that.
He adjusted the big zweihander across his back and it settled there like an old friend. It fit his huge frame the way smaller blades fit lesser men. His long black hair streamed in a gust of wind. He turned back, one last look at the farm they’d built together.
He sensed, something, another old friend watching over his shoulder. Ten years ago, the last war, the Hero of The Black Gate had flirted with that old friend. Ten years of peace and farm labor, and now he couldn’t really claim to be in his prime at forty. Now that old friend was hovering a little closer. His bad knee ached a bit, and the old chest wound smarted a little more than usual on this dreary day.
He looked down at his son, too young, lanky and growing too fast, though he had his mother’s looks and a smaller build than his own at the same age.
“Listen, son, this is likely to be my last war.”
“But father-”
“Ach, best to face the facts. I’m an old fighter past his prime. And I’m feelin’ the presence of friends long gone now I’ve got my old kit together. Now, yer the man of the house, so you know what that means.”
“Yes sir, I’ll take care of mother and the girls.”
“Wha-” He started in shock. “No! I Know I taught you better’n that! What in th-” He stopped as the boys expression burst into an inordinately pleased grin.
“Gotcha Pa!” He shouted happily, “You should’a seen your face!”
He laughed, “Hah! Well now, I wonder who put you up to that? Now, tell me what you’ll be doin’. Serious like.”
“Do exactly what Mum says, just like you.”
“Aye, good lad.” He ruffled the boy’s hair fondly. “Now, time to go.”
As he left his son watched with his mother and two sisters. Alongside him, his eldest marched. As tall as he was and muscular, with the red hair of his wife, sides freshly shaved and tattooed, hair braided like a proper young warrior. Fresh kit and a new zweihander, a match to his own, shone even in the grim weather.
“You think you’re ready for war?” He asked.
His daughter laughed, a deep and rich laugh that was much like his own. “I am as ready as you made me, Father. Now lets hurry, if I’m to avenge your inevitable demise at the hands of an evil wizard, I’m going to need time to assemble my party.”
I’m going to print this out and mail it to every high fantasy author I read in high school
