i took my sister to get an abortion. she said when they took her back to the procedure room they were also taking back this 16 year old. the kid asked "can i have the body when you're done?" the nurse stopped for a beat. "no. there is no body." and the kid was just like "oh....ok?"

Lol. There really isn’t. Gore (no pictures) and pregnancy ending warning but I think this is an important way of explaining it:

Depending on how far along you are, it is like one of those big chunks of uterine tissue you lose during your period to like a piece of liver and a blob. The minibaby fetuses that pro-life organizations hand don’t really reflect what comes out of your body during a first trimester abortion, it is more like a random little piece of gore you’d see on the side of the road and say “Gross.” and assume a rabbit was disemboweled by a hawk.

Closer to the 12 week mark, you may be able to make out limb buds and eyes forming and I don’t want to discount the emotional trauma of that for people who have experienced pregnancy loss but for the most part, there is nothing recognizably living and it looks like any other viscera. The photos of fetuses in text books and from pro-life websites have often been carefully cleaned, preserved and magnified. The thing that comes out of you is not a body in the traditional sense.
