DAY 7 OF THE YOUTUBE BOYCOTT!!!
Do not feel guilty if you are craving it, or if you have at all opened the app or website so far! I am also craving it, and the waves of temptation only seem to feel stronger every day as I realize just how much I relied on the platform for entertainment. It's so hard to find such bite-sized content, especially for my TV, but so far we have reduced engagement, and YT is now starting to panic!
Any amount of reducing the app in your life will help! Even if you can't boycott fully, even if you've accidentally opened the app for any reason, even if you had no choice in order to watch a certain video or two!
If you can't boycott for any reason, there are also other alternatives to help! Youtube has a Feedback feature, use that to demand the reversal of the ID policy! @ them on Twitter! Email or call Google itself! Anything, no matter how small, will help! Stay strong, they are beginning to panic! We are having an effect! If you see ads for YouTube outside of YouTube itself, it's more proof of their panic! There's a REASON they have to advertise their platform now, when they haven't needed to for around 10 years!
I believe in you, I believe in us, we can do this! Stay strong, and fight for your rights however you can!!
PRIVACY IS A HUMAN RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE!!!
“Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you have perceived it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day, and you will come at last to love the world with an all-embracing love.”
— Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brothers Karamazov
pro tip you can just grab a bunch of random parts from dumpsters and hardware stores and computer stores and just attach them together haphazardly and then put it in your suitcase and take it to the airport and get arrested pretty much 100% of the time
“no crew, no help, just pure hustle” cut to this poor woman bawling her eyes out. what the fuck is wrong with people? why is this being framed as a good or impressive feat? this person makes below poverty wages already. Burger King meanwhile takes in $27 billion in global revenue every single year. everyone involved in making this woman endure this should be tortured and force fed chicken fries until their heart gives out. fuck this country.
forgetfulness is wild because sometimes its "oops silly me i left the house without my wallet again" and sometimes its "my friend is trying to reminisce on a thing we did together and the fact its jogging nothing in my brain is genuinely kind of distressing"
they're called human rights because you get them by being human. No ifs no buts. Everyone gets them. Yes even those people
