Yeah, I did! I’m just getting him to do a few fighting moves, as practice. It’s for a bot-fight. I’ve been sneaking out to watch a few recently, and their bots are impressive, but they don’t have my secret weapon: microbots! You see how it’s all made up of individual parts? Each part is actually a microbot on its own, but you can control them together. It’s kind of my own invention, heh.

So I’m pretty sure this little guy can take out the title.

Oh -- yeah! I see what you mean, so mean you built all these parts by yourself? That's really impressive, Hiro! So that must be your special ability, right?

Alriiiiiight, so I’ve inserted the neuromorphic chip here, now I just have to calibrate the robot’s arm to respond to this command… haha! It’s working! I knew this upgrade would help! Go, little buddy, go! Side-kick! Scissor punch!

Oh, but by horrible I mean thrilling, terrifying, the stuff of nightmares! And of course, it’ll be fun! Witches, how so? I always thought everyone had it spot on with the cackling and the spells, but I suppose it isn’t my place to say, since I am not one. Well, we’re both agreed on the broom part, but I could have sworn the witchs I know love to include people in their recipes!

Oh dear, and I had thought the cannibal would make this Halloween my coup d’etat! But I am open to suggestions; what would you like to see on Halloween, little girl?

Oh... Well that is more Halloween-y, I guess. No! Witches don't cackle, but they can cast spells with the correct potions and skills. Well, I am so it is my place to say, mister. If they include people then they are doing everything wrong! 

No, it would make your Halloween horrible! You really need to stop with the whole eating people thing, I don't think anyone wants to be eaten. I'm not a little girl, I'm almost fifteen years old, thank you very much. What would I like to see on Halloween? Mhhm, I'm not too sure, I didn't have any time to celebrate it last year, but back home we always used to go trick or treating with lots of candy!

I can’t believe the year’s gone by so fast! I hope everyone’s ready for our most thrilling and horrible Halloween yet! I have some great ideas in mind.

I’m thinking a three-storey haunted house, complete with ghouls and a real-life cannibal! Oh, and I believe the witches mentioned something about wanting to boil someone alive…? Won’t that be a treat!

Oh goodness, time really does seem to fly! Horrible? Why would you want it to be horrible? Halloween always seems like so much fun, but the way people portray witches isn't so great. A cannibal? That doesn't sound like a good idea, and witches wouldn't boil people alive. They fly on brooms and each have their own special power!

Lettie loves that bakery, I’m glad she’s still having fun. If you don’t work in the bakery always, what do you do?

I work in the hat shop that father used to own. It’s nice really, but I’ve had some pranksters lately so that wasn’t quite as fun.

Oh, I'm stationed there buut I'm the delivery witch, you see. People come in to the bakery and give me packages and gifts they want delivered to a certain place! But I'm only just starting to be able to get back on my broom and deliver again, because the snow and wind has been so bad.

Ooh, a hat shop? That's kinda cool, I'll have to check it out sometime! I think I'd wear a hat if I wasn't flying all of the time. Oh no, pranksters? That's awful! I'm sorry to hear that. What did they do? Is there anything I can do to help?

It's okay! It's my job to deliver things, haha!

They're alright... I don't really work in the bakery, except I've had to recently because of the weather, it makes it difficult for me to make deliveries. It's kinda boring, Lettie seems to enjoy it, though! She's always talking to all the customers who come in especially the boys. But you're right -- Everything has been busier! There were lots of people here at the beginning of the year wanting old Christmas stock reduced, and now everyone is buying all these heart-shaped cookies and cakes. It's not even February yet!

Oh hehe its sort of like my family’s slang, we use bean to address people. I know it sounds weird, its just tradition I guess. Wow a fortune teller? I wouldn’t mind having that power, too bad she wasn’t very nice. A potions expert sounds cool too!

I hope you learn your powers soon too! I’d like to hear more about them, its all very interesting. Is there a certain power you’d want to have?

I've never heard anyone use it before, it's really cute. Yeah! Well, I thought she was alright, but like I said, my friend didn't think much of her. Maybe I'll bump into her again sometime, but I wouldn't count on it. I don't know about the potions, it seems like it could be complicated and if you slip up, that could be bad news for everyone!

Hehe yeah sometimes I pretend it really is a jungle. Though I probably should do a better job of keeping it somewhat tidy because I’m always tripping over it all when I wake up in the morning or in the middle of the night. Woah that’s so cool! You’re the first magical bean that I’ve met since my family and I moved here, and I’ve heard there’s a lot of magic here. What kind of powers do young witches get?

Oh no - That wouldn't be very good. Move them away from your bed, it'll be awful if you were to get hurt! Hehaha, bean? That's a funny thing to call me! Oh, well on my way flying over to Disney, I met one witch - my friend said she was very snobby, but she could tell fortunes! And my mother is a potions expert. I know she wanted to teach me eventually, too but... It's too late now! She'll have to wait until I go back home next year.

Oh I would but I don’t think I have any more room in my house. My bedroom is overflowing with huge plants, its practically a jungle in there! My mother teases me about it all the time hehe. 

Oh that’s right! Kiki, of course, hello I’m Arrietty! I thought I saw you not too long ago flying around. That’s really neat that you travel by broom! It must be very dangerous flying around when it snows.

Oh, that sounds really neat though! It must be fun having a jungle-like room. Mine's just filled with old flour I need to sweep up. 

Hi Arietty! It's nice to meet you. Oh you did? Haha yeah, that would've been me! It is, but the thing is... Every young witch has to travel to a new place for a year to discover their powers and although I can fly my broom, I haven't discovered what my unique ability is yet. That's why I moved here... Maybe it'll come to be eventually, I've just got to try and be patient. It is, especially if it's very windy too! Sometimes you can fly too high and get caught up with all the geese! That's never a good idea, but someone's gotta do my job!

Yeah! Keeping a garden is really nice, I love seeing everything bloom in the springtime, it all looks so pretty. In the winter though my yard looks so empty without it all.

I bet! My mother back home would keep flowers on the window sills and indoors when she would work on her potions. I think she used them in a few. Maybe if you brought them indoors too that would help?

Oh - nono, sorry. I'm Kiki by the way, I started the delivery service for the bakery just before christmas. But, I fly by broom you see, and it's really difficult to deliver anything with all this snow! So I've been having to bike or - go by foot.
