Hex Breaking Cursed Objects
If you wind up with an object that’s cursed/hexed, things can turn ugly pretty quick. Not sure you’re cursed? Here’s a list of common things that happen when you’re cursed.
How to handle a cursed object varies on culture and you’re specific practice but here’s some tips:
Don’t touch the object. Put gloves on, wrap something around the object, etc.
Remove the object from your space. I recommend taking it to a crossroad and finishing the hex breaking there but that might not be possible.
Don’t bring it inside. This is much like the above but if you catch the cursed object before bringing it indoors you can save yourself a lot of trouble.
How to break the curse on an object depends on what you’re willing to do with the object itself. Some will be appropriate and others not so much. Be sure to pick a technique that is best suited for your objects. Also keep in mind that there’s some tradition in setting up a failsafe in curses that trigger when the cursed object is broken without the hex being broken first. You’ll have to guess or divine which method is the best one for you.
Dip, wash, boil, or fry the object in cleansing water. Purified or water from a living source (river, ocean, etc) is ideal. You can also infuse cleansing herbs or stones in the water as well.
Fry, wash, boil, or dip in oil. Typically infusing the oil with herbs is ideal. Hot oil is good for destroying the object but be careful for burns.
Toss it in a fire
Toss it in a living body of water.
Abandon it at a crossroad
Give it to someone else
Urinate on it
Bury it
Pour salt on it
Circle the object three times in salt or pour salt into your hand and pass over the object three times. Toss the salt in a fire in either case.
Pour cleansing herbs on it
Let a stone absorb it’s curse and toss the stone away
Perform a hex breaking spell
Witches Reblog If...
• New, young, or considering witches can ask you questions
• Your blog is free of hate and is a safe learning community (this includes bashing christians/non-pagans)
• No questions (as long as they aren’t creepy) will be laughed at or shamed
• It’s okay to ask you for advice or opinions, even if you are an experienced witch.
• Your blog is inviting and welcoming and is a space for education on the craft.
I will follow you, because tumblr needs more of these witches.
Absolutely!
CUT IT OUT!
A STFU Spell for Noisy Neighbours and other Troublemakers
What you need:
candles black, red and white
red string
knife
matches
black pepper, salt, chili powder, ginger, nutmeg
rage. lots and lots of rrrrrage!
1) Bind your three candles together with the red string. The red candle is your anger. While tying the knot, you concentrate on chanelling your anger in the direction of your Noisy Neighbour or other Annoying Person. This will be a powerful spell, the more rage you got, the better.
2) While tying the knot of the black candle, envision it swallowing all the noise, all the annoying little things that drive you mad. Black will cancel out everything negative. Don’t be afraid of the colour black, it’s your ally.
3) Tie the last knot over the white candle. Envision the peace this spell will bring you. Imagine the calm after the Noisy Neighbour has shut up or turned their music down.
4). Cut the string with a sharp knife. Say “Cut it out!” and picture your troublemaker.
5) Put your herbs over the candles. Grind chili, ginger and black pepper for rage. Feel your anger pouring out of you and giving this spell its power. Say “I will set your ass on fire!” and picture in your mind your troublemaker. Grind sea salt (or table salt) over your candles to help you get rid of the troublemaker. The nutmeg - I don’t even know why. I’m an intuitive witch. Nutmeg is essential. Grind it over the candles. It stands for luck, usually, I think in this case it strengthens the spell.
6) Light the candles. Light one match for each candle. Repeat whatever phrase you choose (stfu, cut it out, etc - I’m not very classy when it comes to my spells, you can find one of your own… it should come from the heart though). Put the knife and the three burnt matches next to the candle.
I just performed this spell about 10 minutes ago. My next door neighbour will play music loudly and he won’t stop (I have tried everything, from asking nicely to threatening). The music stopped after about 2 minutes.
so i am starting to embrace becoming a witch but i know my mom wouldn't like it. i would like to do spells but so many of them ask for materials and my mom would ask me why i need them. do you have any tips?
Use the ones that don’t need many tools or any tools, if anything you can write your own. A spell can be done in a thought, chant, even just visualizing it. The only tool you need is yourself.
Agree with witchydays. All you need is focus and grounding/centering and a mantra or chant ... Its not all about the supplies, but it is all about the intent and intensity behind the ritual.
To Disabled Witches Like Me
Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t be a witch because of your disabilities. Witchcraft and magic has always belonged to the disabled in every culture.
If you’re blind, value and work with the ability to understand and see the future.
Bad leg or legs? Easier to cross into other realms. Don’t be afraid to cross the hedge.
Social anxiety? Spirits love you so much.
Deaf? Focus on hearing the wheel of fate.
Chronic pain? Use it to negate curses and do curse breaking.
Magic does not mean your body has to be or is supposed to be perfect. Witchcraft embraces differences. If you can’t meditate, don’t think you can’t be a witch, use the noise.
I love this.
