Witches be like:
plants good! live plant? good! a baby! must care for! dead plant? useful! important! candles? great! warm! rocks? smooth! shiny! random feather or leaf I found while walking? amazing! a gift!
And honestly? This is my fav mindset
autumn things
wearing big sweaters and kneesocks
eating a lot of autumn fruits and vegetables
walking alone in the park and admiring the trees
buying new cute rain boots and raincoat
picking up leaves and making herbarium
wearing long black or brown coat and scarf
preparing pumpkin pie and chocolate cookies
laying under the blanket while it's raining outside
rereading stories of O.Henry
decorating your room with fairylights
looking for your Halloween outfit
drinking cocoa with marshmallow
celebrating the autumn solstice
enjoying the last rays of autumn sun
With halloween coming up, and with everyone decorating their blogs- please be wary that many depictions of witches are antisemitic. The evil, green, long nosed, potion-brewing women with curly hair? yeah literally dont.
the history of witch hysteria has close ties to antisemitism (as well as the persecution of other minorities, but antisemitism was a big one)
the reason witches are green is because of the wizard of oz i believe, but personally, its too close to home with the “lizard people” trope, and spurs the idea of being disconnected from human. if other jews wanna weigh in on that, please do! it could just be me.
if you want to put witches on your blog, i dont care, but if they have a comically-large nose and curly hair? please take the time to think first.
goyim please reblog but i swear to god if anyone adds anything about oppression of modern witches i will make goyim soup.
i would like to add- a lot of monster-y characters can be anti-semitic caricatures as well. let’s not forget about goblins, the big nosed, green-skinned, gold hoarding goblins. with the rise of goblincore, this has been forgotten, but it’s important to not only refuse to like goyim let goblins off the hook, but watch out for those traits in other demonized portrayals, such as:
big, hooked noses
dark curly hair
green skin
generally hairy
portrayed as greedy/wealthy
anti-semitism never died. if you’re not jewish, the least you could do for us is keep an eye out. op is right, remember- we have been around forever, but so has anti-semitism.
take note
i love that half of these are just the plant going “please for the love of god stop watering me I’m a fucking cactus”
Reblog if you could use a little good luck to start your fall - this spell is for you: a white candle for purification, some dried orange peel and senna leaf for luck and magic, and the cutest little acorn I could find :)

Reblogging complete post so that it is not truncated and lost :3
Signal boost. This is vital information, folks.
Also turquoise is water soluble
selenite is also water soluble, and feldspars like labradorite and rainbow moonstone can lose their luster if left submerged.
This is lengthy, but if you plan on bathing with crystals, charging them in water, putting them in drinking water, or getting them wet in any way you have to do your research to make sure that they won’t dissolve, harm your skin, or literally poison you. Be smart and do the reading!

Two little mice on a pile of spell books
The Signs and Gardens:
Aries: The wandering wood. A migration with the seasons, leaving churned earth and broken rocks behind.
Taurus: First of the old Whistling Stones. A natural arch between two mountains, a low wandering melody with the spring winds.
Gemini: The town square in the quarantine district. A marble fountain overgrown with creepers. Roots of trees pushing the pavestones apart like impacted teeth.
Cancer: Grazing fields under a new moon. The hulking thing on its hands and feet that jumps the fence at night, fistfulls of grain that it feeds to the cattle.
Leo: An abandoned isolated fortress and a broken bridge. An alchemist greenhouse teeming with unexplored things.
Virgo: A clearing. Logging equipment strewn about as if abandoned in a hurry.
Libra: Valley of the dead. The strange plants that grow around the spring. Waters deep and black, solid as the gentle night.
Scorpio: A resting great-stag. Antlers covered with blooming moss, only visible by the light of fireflies.
Ophiuchus: The remains of a little cottage. A garden of medicinal plants carried by the wind and wildlife that now takes up an entire field.
Sagittarius: The valley delta. The place where the flood plains hit the tide pools. Low sandy pits teaming with alien life. The slow dance between salt and fresh waters.
Capricorn: The sealed mountain barrow. Strange anemic vegetation sinking roots into mummified flesh that still wanders the chambers.
Aquarius: Salt flats. Dried remains of extinct grasses pressed and preserved under the baking white sand, headstones to the lakebed this place used to be.
Pisces: The tangle of brambles growing above the drain to the cistern. Bits of cloth and trash obscuring the thing that made its nest at the center.
I’m making witchy stickers for my Patreon! I’ll be printing these very soon for my shop, so stay tuned~
