my only requirement for techno lore his him being funny and fucking shit up, but i do think his apology to tubbo was a pretty pivotal character development moment.

his main flaw is his extreme case of tunnel vision, which has made him self-centered and hypocritical many times. while he cleary cares for other people he doesn’t often empathize with them and ususally prioritizes his own pov over everyone else’s, not because he doesn’t care but because he’s unable/unwilling to see where they’re coming from.

when he shot tubbo he refused to admit fault, because his priority was that HE was wronged. schlatt forced him to do something he didn’t want to do, made him feel weak and exposed and none of his allies stepped in to help him and then blamed him for what happened.

now, he’s finally looked past how that situation affected him (though he didn’t fully let go of it and tbh, as you should king) and could aknowledge that he hurt tubbo when he shouldn’t have, that tubbo deserved to be fought for and that techno wasn’t strong enough to protect him when it was his job to do so.

i genuinely understand the passion for deep lore tm and how criticizing that lore is part of the enjoyment but like.

this is roleplay, which is about friends having fun, playing characters, and creating a narrative through that. a perfectly scripted story might be what you enjoy the most, but that isn’t true for everyone and it certainly isn’t what roleplay is about, so when your only reaction to friends hanging out, having fun in character and going on adventures is being pissed that it’s not a perfect puzzle piece for the story you want to hear, you’re just being a bit of a twat.

there’s different styles of roleplaying and you don’t have to enjoy any of them, but that’s really no excuse for shitting on cc’s who just want to have fun while they’re telling a cool and entertaining story in their own way
