Rhabdophobiaâs Revenge
CHAPTER 2
âWhat is happening?â asked one Nekomata to one Bakeneko. âI donât know.â Replied the other rather worriedly. Rhabdophobia stood in the middle of the hall, worry burning in her chest. All around her Mythicals chatted, whispered, and stared at and about her. Rhabdophobia closed her eyes as she muttered to herself over and over âit is going to be fine, it is going to be fineâ she looked up as she saw her sister clambering onto the quartz ledge. At first, she looked around nervously as this was her first announcement before fixing her eyes on Rhabdophobia, suddenly feeling an unexpected rush of confidence. Rhabdophobia could almost hear her thoughts. âit is okâ Spirit muttered to herself âI have the prophecy to support me.â Rhabdophobia clamped her teeth together with disgust as her âmotherâ bounded up to Spirit and brushed her muzzle across her ear before muttering into her ear something of which Rhabdophobia was unable to hear due to the sheer amount of noise in the hall. Her mother then looked at Rhabdophobia with pity before bounding down onto a ledge lower than the one that Spirit was on. Rhabdophobia closed her eyes and tried to block off the noise that was roaring around her, trying to pretend as if nothing was happening. But she opened her eyes with a shudder. She needed to succumb to the fact that this was indeed happening and that there was a very chance that she may get exiled. Rhabdophobia stared up to her sister.
âYou know that I donât deserve this SpiritâŠâ The whole hall went silent the moment those words fluttered out of her mouth.
âThe council have agreed and spoken. Rhabdophobia NightBlaze will indeed be exiled. Do you have any last words sisterâ Spirit spat out menacingly. Rhabdophobia stepped back immediately. She felt the whole world shudder around her as her ears curled down and a look of despair loomed onto her face, darkening her eyes. She felt like wailing right then on there. Her heart sank as her sister spoke the words, âIf that is all you have to say, I sentence you to exile, forever.â Suddenly darkness loomed around her, blackening her vision as she felt her rage take over. âHow dare you exile me, your sister!? Have you had no love towards me?â Rhabdophobia shook her head, trying to stop the words flowing out of her mouth, but it was no use. The hate in her drained all her happiness as she tried to let out all her pain. âIf you are to exile me, which it seems like you are keen to and have, you may not mine me doing THISâ Rhabdophobia let loose her energy and broke multiple pillars and shot spells to the celling to make it collapse onto the ground. By this time people had already begun to evacuate the building whilst guards dragged her away and Spirit and the council dedicated all their energy on holding the roof stable until everyone had left. She had been thrown out, betrayed by family and friends⊠betrayed by the person she thought loved and cared for her mostâŠ
Rhabdophobia jolted awake and found herself tucked in her nest. The sun began to warm her fur as it rose, once more spreading light across the morning sky. Rhabdophobia stood up, as much as her muscles ached and pleaded her to sit back down and rest for a while longer, but there were still jobs to be done, prey to be caught. She let the sinking feeling in her chest ease. Suddenly she heard rustling as a stick broke. Rhabdophobia immediately look around herself. Then a scent flooded into her nest, it was too familiar to ignore, and she doubted herself for a couple moments until a lavender pink she cat entered the clearing. It was her sister?! Had she come to finally save her from this torture? She shook her head clearing up her mind, no, she couldnât have, she exiled me from my own future kingdom and set a law to prevent Nekomatas ever ruling the Afterlife. She was no sister, she was a vindictive coward. âIâm so sorry Rhab! I didnât mean to exile you under such harsh conditions! Believe me I still love you but the council have announced their decision about exiling you was finalâŠâShe paused, screwing her eyes together for three moments before opening them back up again, her eyes were filled with tears,â If there is anything I can do to make this up for you, please tell me.â She flattened her ears and stalked away. She turned around to glance at Rhabdophobia for a couple of heartbeats before exiting the clearing. She was lying she hurt her feelings once already, she would not let her get manipulated again. Rhabdophobia paused, her eyes sparked for a moment and a smile crept her face, I will manipulate Spirit just as she did to me, thatâs what Iâm going to do. She and all the citizens of Visaquarelle will SUFFER! Suddenly Rhabdophobia blinked her eyes to see the forest she was in was being corrupted into an alter version on itself. The trees had blackened and itsâs leaves were withering away. This was her kingdom, no one deserved to be treated here equal- unequally. From now on, Visaquarelle shall suffer whispered a voice behind Rhabdophobiaâs heart. The colourless sun set, and darkness took over the land of dĂŠmonsâŠ
