as an introvert like dan i totally get when he’s said phil is like a piece of furniture rather than a person in his life. i had an ex who i talked about the same way because she didn’t drain my social/emotional meter when i was with her. hell, i have friends like that now. phil not counting as a person is so sweet and romantic to me because it means dan is so comfortable and safe with him that he doesn’t have to expend that energy he would with friends or family.
