Being thrown into an entirely foreign new city with most of his rings missing, and then being thrown into a labyrinth? And Chimaira being hungry? There was truly much too much to take in, and luck was certainly not on Kousukeâs side.
   But one would not think that at all if they saw how his eyes seemed to sparkle and how he had a big grin despite the predicamentâ a pinch is a chance, after all!
   "Say no more, lovely ladies!" He held out his palm dramatically, as though to stop Koyomi and their other companion from saying anything else, "No real idea of whatâs goinâ on here, but leave it to me! Big Bro Kousuke will protect ya both!"
  He adjusted the Beast Ring on his left hand. Itâs times like this when mages truly shine, after all!
  "So, uh, we follow this thing then, yeah?" He stared uncertainly at the compass on his right hand, which pointed to a path that led to a dead end. "Hm, looks like weâll have to find another way âround, then. Alright!"
  Hoisting his backpack on his shoulders, he began to walk toward the opposite direction, assuming the ladies would follow closely behind.
  âSince weâll be here for a while, I suppose we should have some chit-chat, eh?â Some barbecue sounded nice right about now, but they canât afford to keep still as the other girl said. Maybe later. "Iâm Kousuke Nitou, part-time archaeologist and full-time adventurer and mage!" He looked back to his companions, beaming.
  "âWell, I suppose Koyomi already knows me, though." He shot her a  âweâve got catching up to do, little missâ look.
