anyway one thing i love about faine is like .. she's such a single brain celled organism. she's not stupid, but she's .. just not very booksmart. in fact, while she's not illiterate, she's not very literate. however, if you're stuck somewhere dangerous for a while and you have her with you, you should be safe enough bc she knows how to survive. sewing, cooking, hunting, fishing, foraging .. she's a survivalist. also, she's pretty shy, which is cute .. although she looks like she wants to stab people half the time because she suffers from resting bitch face and barely speaks because she's awkward, but .. yeah !!!!

anyway i know this is old but i'm forever in love with this sword & armor and just .. all of this. just the whole image. this .. this is what faine looks like in battle.

look .. faine's type is just flirtatious people who like .. are strong and possibly romantic bc LMAOOO. she has no idea what to do with them. she just freezes up when people flirt with her, or she's just oblivious until months later when she realizes she was being flirted with .. nice eyes / body / wears some cologne or perfume are bonus points though.

also, something about her being attracted to her opposite in that they would flirt / be bold / outspoken or playfuly, etc.

" cassian, please. i .. i'm fine. " the words, while she does her best to speak in a calm manner, slip out with a touch of embarrassment -- even bringing her to stammer a little. it's not the amount of care in his touch, but the fact that she was being touched in general. most of all, her face. she had been able to ignore it at first, but with each passing second she could feel warmth in her cheeks. whether from his calloused hands that covered her cheek, or because she was becoming a noticeable shade of red in the face .. well, she's not quite certain. she doesn't even ponder the smear of blood above her eyebrow and onto the bridge of her nose from a previous battle.

" i - it's just a few scratches. " she attempts to reassure, hoping that he might step away and give her the chance to actually breathe ( she knows the wound itself is more than ' just a few scratches ' .. it almost appears as if she had managed to fight her way through a flock of birds. ) reaching up with gloved hand, she pulls his away and clears her throat. if she could voice her thanks for his concern, she would. yet, this was awkward enough of a situation for her.

her mind felt fuzzy, and her sight blurring with each step that she took. pain was common to her .. she was, after all, one of the first lines of defense in a fight -- a knight, meant to offer a point of distraction to their enemies. yet the previous fight had been enough to leave her in a near tattered mess.

mayhap she should have listened, and been less reckless in her choices. it had been the provocations of the voice in her head, small as it was, that had brought her to act rather foolishly -- and in such, had become far too hotheaded, placing her pride above her own wellbeing. she was, however, fortunate in that she hadn't died.

faine didn't ponder much on the time between when she had been knocked off her feet, head ringing and someone's ( potentially her own ) blood upon onyx armor, and to when she was being escorted away from where the battle had been. her head was foggy and there was little other than the searing pain upon her shoulder and along her back, that filled her thoughts. " h - how much longer .. ? " she asks, the words stammered out in slow cadence not in fear or anxiety, but in a bout of pain. if she knew any better, she was closer to passing out than she was to making it where she needed to actually go. that, however, was something she was not willing to admit, in fear of looking weak.
