when the characters you like get beat the fuck up
whumpee being carried by team/caretaker and laid down somewhere soft. a bed… a couch… or even bringing the softness TO whumpee on the floor. a blanket, or a rolled up jacket for a pillow.
maybe they’re too sick to move. maybe they’re injured and broken. maybe they’re dying.
but give me the tenderness of “let us take you to rest someplace comfortable.”
Absolutely a sucker for the “ARE YOU HURT” once over. The wandering hands, frantically checking for blood or pain just SOMETHING. ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of what they might find while searching. The panicked look on the face of the person doing the checking, the glossy, confused “I’m fine” from the person being checked. HOO BOY just inject that shit right into my veins
and when its the FIRST thing they ask. before anything else, before they even call out their name. that's the ONLY thing on their mind.
Waking up in different clothes each time they knock him out. Different places. Different people looking down at him.
big fan of the listless dissociated look that whumpees have after something that causes incredible pain (whether emotional or physical just a Lot of it) - when their eyes are focused on nothing and their mouth is a little open and maybe they're covered in blood and they're limp and just move with whoever is pulling them up rather than actually using any of their own strength. when blinking is the only acknowledgement they can give that they can even hear or understand what's going on. when they aren't even crying because that would take too much energy. they're just... tired. empty. dazed. yeah. big fan
I’m a sucker for whumpee being thrown against a wall.
The huff of air that is forced from their chest. The hands on the wall to steady themself. The dazed expression or bloody nose when they hit their head/face off the wall. The crumpling/sliding to the ground. The cowering and curling up to shield themself from further attack. The aggravation of previous injuries
Living Weapons trained to be nothing violent. Train them to lash out and tear at anybody who isn't their handlers. They bite and kill anything else that moves.
And have it follow them after they're rescued. Have them bite their tongue and make it bleed whenever someone gets close. Have them get bouts of violence, where they WANT to lash out at their caretaker, so they lock themselves away until it passes.
Overly violent living weapons <3
“Living weapon” covers a lot and all of it is hot
“stabbing crying killing hot” has a fantastic ring to it
hey don't cry. blorbo coughing up blood
Came up with 2 new guys just to cope with IRL transphobia and… it is a G/T duo…. In a non fantasy setting (besides the shrink ray gun)
I’ll share more information once I have some more written and doodles doodled. Very excited for the possibility of tiny whump / Resus , and forcing Julian (the transphobe) into becoming a better person through unhealthy ways <3 creative freedom is so fun
A whump prompt I've rarely seen that I think should be used more often : whumpee food hoarding!
Give me a whumpee that steals, stores and hoards food as a result of being neglected and traumatised by whumper.
A whumpee whose basic needs were not always met in the past and who now, despite having been taken into caretaker's care, hides food because they fear that caretaker will stop providing meals.
A whumpee that will scarf down their food, stuffing it in their mouth, sometimes overeating to the point of throwing up.
A whumpee that will get defensive around their food, scared it will be taken away, or that starts spiralling when caretaker innocently mentions they're running out of something/that the fridge is empty/etc.
Give me a whumpee that hoards food!
Caretaker reaching an arm out across Living Weapon Whumpees chest to protect them, but Whumpee thinks it’s to hold them back.
They feel ashamed that Caretaker trusts them so little, that they have to be held back instead of just instructed. Until Caretaker does it in the car after a car in front of the brake checked them and Whumpee can’t figure out what they were stopping them from.
They ask, hesitantly, hoping that at least if they were punished for asking, they might figure out how to prove themselves, but Caretaker explains that they were trying to protect them, that was what that always meant. Caretaker laughs, asking if Whumpee thought they were strong enough to hold them back anyway, and it finally clicks.
Whumpee spends the rest of the drive staring out the window, tracking each memory back, recontextualizing it through this new information. Caretaker had a point, they were far stronger than them, and by extent, that meant that realistically Caretaker’s arm of protection would do very little to protect them but that wasn’t the point.
No one else had ever tried.
if you have a very strong/powerful character and you DON'T muzzle and chain them and beat it into them that they're only good as a blunt instrument of violence and use their completely natural reactions to this mistreatment as 'proof' that they're innately dangerous and the mistreatment is necessary + justified then what's even the point tbh
if they don't start avoiding and physically shying away from the first person to treat them with kindness because they're terrified that they will harm that person What's The Point
sometimes it's important to injure the character
caretaker's hands shake as they dial whumpee's number.
"come on, come on, come on," they hold their phone to their ear, "pick up, whumpee. pick up."
"hello?" whumpee's weary voice comes from the other side of the phone. "caretaker?"
"oh, whumpee. sorry i woke you up. i'm just- i had a dream that you..."
"oh," whumpee sighs softly. "i'm alright, caretaker. i promise. i'm fine"
Medic/doctor/nurse Caretaker gently checking Whumpee’s pulse, two fingers against his neck, only for that to instantly throw him into a panic attack because he’s expecting that gentle hand to suddenly wrap around his throat and squeeze.
do you even like your blorbo if you don’t like them pathetic and half dead
