Anyone else feeling cautiously… excited about the upcoming Naruto live-action movie?
Maybe it’s misplaced. Because I know anime adaptations have a general track-record of colossal failure.
But I guess One Piece has me dreaming. And it’s encouraging to know Kishimoto will be involved.
Also, as a long-time fanfiction writer (and reader) for Naruto, I do love a good fresh take on the story and these beloved characters. And as much as Naruto holds a special place in my heart, probably more than any other piece of fiction, and while nothing will ever match the OG, I think many fans can agree that a retelling without the filler and pacing issues might actually be quite nice.
I don’t know. I also just love seeing the nerdy media I grew up with being in the mainstream.
Anyways, got my fingers and toes crossed they don’t butcher this, because how fun would it be if this movie actually turns out and we get a fun, fresh take on one of the best stories of all time.

What We Make of It update: Chapters 21-24 are written, but I'm still massaging them (while pushing ahead with Chapter 25). Soon as I have them a bit more polished, I will resume posting again (more regularly)! Still a lot more to come for this story. 😀
