What is your #1 video game recommendation

My heart says Forspoken. My head also says Forspoken. Go play Forspoken.

The visuals are gorgeous, Frey is a wonderfully written protagonist who feels like an actual person I could meet in real life, Cuff is my soulmate of sass, the story is heartfelt and compelling, the Tantas are terrifying, the first boss fight has a teleporting zombie dragon and it only gets better from there, and the combat mechanics are actually interesting.

There's so much versatility in the combat! And that versatility lets you set up some super fun combos, too. Summon a ring of fire and then push enemies into it with a wall of water. Tangle your opponents in vines and then make lava erupt beneath their feet. Trap them in a sphere of water and then zap them with a lightning spear. Plant your sniper flower and pull things into it with your fire whip. Go invisible and circle around behind, then shoot them with rocks. Or just set your fists on fire and beat the ever living shit out of anything that moves. The combat is as limited as your creativity! Get weird with it!

Now I'll admit, the beginning is a little slow and clunky and imho the NYC sequence is not a good opening hook, but when Frey meets her new girlfriend you leave Cipal the first time, that's when the fun begins. It takes less than an hour to get to the good stuff (assuming you chase down the story beacons and don't stick your nose into every nook and/or cranny on the way like I do) and then you have a whole zombie-infested wasteland to do magical parkour in, accompanied by your new sassy asshole best buddy/wrist-mounted GPS/shiny beacon.

thinking about Auden/Frey... we all know my priority is Cuff/Frey but i am into the poly-v (or even ot3 but it would take A LOT to get to a place where that was possible) situation but only if Auden Knows

from a consent standpoint, Auden would need to know that there was another participant whether any of them like it or not. and once she does know, how does she feel about that? that someone she is interested in building something with is harboring another living being and separating them is not an option Frey is willing to entertain? where do you go with that? how do you make peace with it? do you make peace with it? can you?
